I got fish & shrimp to go, And it smelled so good in the car I ate half of it before I took my photos! That's my leftovers y'all! 3 fish, 6 shrimp, baked tater, beans, slaw & salad bar that you get yourself so it's everything you want! (I also got macaroni salad) If you're passing through Livingston you gotta stop here!!!

I had not eaten at a David Beard's Catfish in years due to relocating. The food and service is still great. I recommend stopping if going through Livingston, Texas.

Food was good. A bit understaffed today but they did their best to keep up with a very busy lunch crowd. This is a popular place for locals.

Very nice, clean appearance inside and out. The staff were fabulous! Pretty fair prices. The catfish was tasty and cooked perfectly. I didn't care for the coleslaw, it was kind of bland and I like my hush puppies a little more on the sweet side. All in all I would recommend this restaurant.

We had to ask different waitress for silverware. There were no bowls for beans. They lost our ticket . The baked fish was dry dry dry. Waited for 15 minutes while they found us a ticket. And we were at first served someone else’s meal. What else can go wrong ? Oh, now the computer has crashed and they had to ask us what we ate.

Today was my first visit here. Excellent food, excellent service! Also, the prices are very fair and affordable. Can't wait to return. Update: After waiting one year to try this place again I feel as though it wasn't the same as last time. I ordered the same thing as last time which was the AYCE fish and shrimp and quality of the food has to be equivalent to that of a cheap fast food restaurant. The salad bar was still good today although the seafood wasn't up to par. Even the hush puppies have changed. They are bland pieces of fried bread and taste nothing like a hush puppy should.

Always love going with my grandparents! ❤ We've kind of made a thing of it. We usually get this waitress named Angel who I think has probably been working there since we started going back (after the fire;yes I think we've been going there practically my whole life if that says anything) Clean, friendly atmosphere, good food, very well priced, and just leaves you wirh a feeling of "comfort"

Great price and open salad bar. Could've gotten a salad bar and chicken strips and been good. Good portions. Fried Food was good, but not fantastic. Everyone was working hard, but they definitely need more help during rush hour. Would return if in the area.
