Update Had the vegan roast today. Exceptional!! 💚So delicious!! Perfect roasties, cauliflower cheeze to die for.💚 Speedy service!! Dog friendly. ♥️🐾 Staff gave our doggy a bowl of water before we could even ask. ♥️ Thanks guys! 1st Thursday of the month there's a great Speakeasy Bootleg Band. Vegan food. Nice staff. Dog friendly.

Called in to see Plutonian 4 at the Caledonia pub. Good beer at a reasonable price and an eclectic sound from the band. One of Liverpool’s truly authentic pubs with lovely staff. It’s friendly to our four legged friends as well so bring a treat and make a new pal soon 🐕

The pub of my youth! Glad it seems to have not changed very much. Still. Very nice and informal, plenty of places to sit with great staff and a decent pint (I went for a pint of "Wooden Ships', very nice). I was there on a Saturday afternoon. Good mix of people, students, families and middle aged people like myself! Really hope this place doesn't go the way of many other of the old pubs and retains its character.. They had some offers on which were good and knocked a bit of money off the pints which was always welcome. Good starting point for the Gerogian Quarter pub crawl too.

What a little gem of a place. This is a perfect example of no frills. Simply decorated pub, no fancy pants meals, just really nice staff, great well presented food, well looked after beer all at a more than reasonable price. Can't wait to go back.

💚 It was a lively Saturday night. Super happy, friendly service. Lots of people in there for drinks but we were there for food. We had the frickles, chkn n garlic wings and dirty fries and shared up. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. All the taste without any of the cruelty as it’s all vegan. Can’t wait to go back!

Oh be still my beating heat this pub! The pub itself wins big for being dog friendly so friendly treats were brought out to our girls to enjoy. The beers on offer are all top grade looking to be from smaller independent breweries. On top of that, there is a selection of games and books for anyone to helps themselves too. The staff were full of welcoming smiles and I think they all stopped to greet our dogs at some point of our visit. This alone would have landed this pub a 5 star review from me but then the food came out I'd have been happy with a plate full of the frickles with the delicious tartare sauce made a great starter for two. The mains were delicious the burger had an excellent sauce and was cooked wonderfully. My Philly cheese steak was 🔥🔥 cheesy and full of flavour and chock full of onions and peppers. Finally the seitan wings were again delicious we went for the salt and pepper wings and it was delicious.

Casual, affordable, has live music, seems to draw a younger crowd. I really enjoyed it. Had a vegan chicken burger with fries and coleslaw, which was good, than a fabulous ice cream sandwich. It's definitely a nice place to spend two hours on a Sunday afternoon resting up while exploring Liverpool.

Fully vegan since September 2017! It opened promptly at 12 and I was there as soon as it opened. I ordered sweet chai tea £1.50 and the ‘5 a day chilli dog’ which came with fries and cslaw £8, there was plenty. Then I got the women’s tea and the tray bake £3.50 which was a delicious chocolate orange slice with squirty cream. Again a generous portion. The service was quick, staff were friendly, they display and sell art work (mainly of animals from what I could see) too. The place was clean and had decent natural light for a pub! It is dog friendly; some customers brought in their dogs. Unfortunately they don’t take card but they directed me to the co-op shop round the corner which have a free cash machine inside. Also the food was served on bright plastic plates.
