Hoss's Steak & Sea House

We haven't been here in awhile. We love this place. It's one of the few healthy eating establishments you can go to with a $20 dollar bill and leave feeling satisfied. Our only complaint was that they changed the size of the salad bar plates. You can hardly get much on them without things falling all over the place. I feel sorry for the people responsible for keeping the bar clean and wiped down as almost everyone has something falling off their plates. I'm sure this was a corporate decision and a bad one at that. Make your plates bigger so we only have to go up to the bar one time for our salads...….would sure help with the flow of people!

The staff is friendly and the salad bar is amazing!!! They have a main salad bar and then the soup and bread bar plus an amazing dessert bar all included when you get the salad bar. The dessert bar had everything from jello to soft serve ice cream all the toppings. Definitely going back when I'm in the area.

Still pretty good, even if theyve kind of took away some Hoss's staples. The food was consistent as we remember it and the steaks were done to our satisfaction. I personally had the stuffed chicken, which was really good with the supplied gravy. Our waitress was extremely attentive, delivering drinks moments before they went empty. I dont like the AYCE salad bar not being standard anymore. We went during dinner rush which was noisy and hectic. Our table was in a high traffic area, sticking out to far, as a result were bumped into multiple times. All of the staff looked to be no older than 25. In summary, although different from the year or two we last visited it was enjoyable and we will return.

I have been here once or twice a year for the past several years, whilst visiting our daughter and her family. It has been a little bit different each time. Two years ago, we ordered our main dish before even being seated, and then had access to the salad bar and dessert bar. The main dish was ready soon after we had gotten our salads and sides. This last time (mid-September 2018) it was much more like a regular restaurant - we were seated, given menus, and placed our orders. We had the option of choosing two sides, or, for about $3 more, being able to go to the salad bar, etc. The food was delicious and the service good and cheerful. The prices were quite reasonable. We will be back.
