Review Tennessee Jed’s - Lindenhurst

Julie was wonderful! The ribs were good, the brisket was not great. Not much flavor. The sauces were good the pork and brisket nachos were good! Collards and corn bread was good. I would like more smoke flavor personally. Ribs are the most subjective. Everyone comes with there ultimate in there head. I’d go back fir the ribs and nachos!:)

The place was great, food was delicious, service awesome, ambience as far as decor was not the problem. The music needs to change....something more upbeat perhaps that makes me want to stay and have another beer or two. Other than that, great local spot.

Very good food, great service, terrific selection of beer and cider. Plenty of tables, really cute decorations. Would definitely come back here again.

I would give it 4 or 5 stars, wife 3 or less. Owners very hands on. My ribs were fall-off the bone tasty. Brisket, while a little dry becomes better with the sauces provided. I think proper barbecue brisket is always a little dry and needs sauces. My wife felt the dryness was a negative. I tried explaining that barbecue is cooked differently than regular brisket. My Mac and cheese side was slightly better than average. Portions could be larger. Great selection of beers and ales

Finally ate here after driving past it for years and it is some of the best BBQ I've ever had. They make their own BBQ sauces vs. adding too much to the meats. Angus brisket was killer. South Carolina pulled pork and the ribs were delicious along with all their homemade sides. Our waitress/owner Julie was super friendly and made our first time there one to remember. Can't wait to go back!

Ordered "Jed's Combo Feast" as recommended by the owner for a backyard family gathering. We had a taste of everything and it was all great! Nothing was smothered in sauce and the side orders were just as tasty. It will be an annual food event for my family.

There are 2 ways to judge a restaurant: By its 'steak or sizzle ad this place is all steak as the sizzle is not so much. I was hankering for some BBQ but didn't want to drive to Massapequa. OK, the place has a limited menu and that's fine by me. It means they can concentrate their efforts on doing things right. Ever order nachos and you get a pile of chips covered in chili? Different here, the chili was interspersed and mixed with all the chips! Nice. I had 1/2 rack with shrimp while Julie had 1/2 rack of St Lluis ribs. All the ribs were tasty and fall off the bone--as you would expect. I recommend the mac and cheese and beans for sides, btw. It was our first time there but not our last.

Ordered 2 full racks of ribs sweet BBQ on the side, mashed potatoes' and baked beans. The ribs were smoked and I usually hate smoked meats but these were very good. The sweet BBQ was a little sweeter than I imagined but complimented the ribs. Mashed potatoes and baked beans tasted like they were homemade. I enjoyed the food. Glad I tried this place out.

We ordered dinner tonight from Jed’s. The family is amazing, the food is INCREDIBLE and boy, do they pack it well. We have ordered from other places and the food is soggy by the time you get home. Not here! The ribs, fried shrimp, chicken salad sandwich and sides all traveled very well - especially the French fries, which was impressive. The food was hot, fresh and extremely tasty! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone sensational and the fried shrimp couldn’t be any larger! Cheers to the staff for staying open, safe & serving the community through these difficult times. Stay healthy, Tennessee Jeds. True angels 😇

I love the food at Tennessee Jeds. It is a family run slow paced restaurant. I would never say anything bad about them. If you allow them the time your food will be great. It is cooked to order. Very fresh and awesome.

We just had another great meal at Tennessee Jed's. We went with a party of 5, and all of us were pleased. The Angus Brisket had great flavor and texture, I highly recommend it. The Texas Trio Sausage was a dish we first tried tonight. It was fantastic, and it's a choice we'll have again. To top it off, Terrapin Station was playing at the end of our meal.

Was so happy with our experience here. Awesome beer selection and very helpful, friendly staff! We had the pulled chicken platter, collard greens and potato salad, as well as the pulled pork, with homemade chips (wow) and it was all truly great!!! I love me some barbecue and this place delivered! Delicious corn bread too.

Awesome tasting ribs! Wish they were cooked a little more! Love them with less pink. Would recommend it to friends and family!

Best BBQ I've had up north. Really authentic down south BBQ flavors. We had the variety platter with pretty much everything on it. The beef ribs, links, and brisket were my favorites. The big platter is also huge so we had a lot of leftovers. Will be back to this place for sure.

Great dinner. Live that the food was not smothered in BBQ sauce! You get to choose your own at the table (hot was mu favorite). The cream spinach was the best I ever had. The sausage was amazing, nice garlic flavor and still juicy.

We pass the restaurant every day. This past weekend we decided to stop in. For starters, their beer menu is great. Bartender and servers are educated and happy to make suggestions. The wait to get a table was not even 20-minutes and that was on a Friday night. I had the Rib Eye and my wife had a burger. The burger was great and we both commented on the flavor. The Rib Eye, not so much. I'm fine with some fat so I'm not even commenting about that. I feel the taste was just off. I tasted more propane than I did seasoning. I did not reduce the stars for this. I'm kinda picky when it comes to my steaks, as in no one cooks it as good as I do. We will absolutely come back. There is a ton of things to try that I can't wait for.

This is a family run operation which recently moved to this location after losing their lease at the last location which I've been told was a very popular spot. It's a fairly small restaurant but not that small. Great selection of tap and bottled beer for a BBQ restaurant. Their cocktails are nice too. We had the St. Louis ribs which were fantastic. Plenty of side dishes to choose from. The collard greens were great as were the sweet potato fries. Prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly so if you're looking for anew spot to try, check it out.

We absolutely love this place! Tennessee Jed's is a family affair, and the love is evident every time we go there. The food is always good. A combination plate is always the way to go. 2-3 meats for 2-3 people, and the big platter for 4 or more. The Feast is just that; an amazing array of their BBQ meats, plus 4 of their amazing sides, served family style. We love bringing friends here to share a meal. The craft beer list is excellent, and changes frequently. The seating capacity is low, as is the music, which makes for a wonderfully cozy experience where you can sit back and relax in good company.

The Ladies greeted me when I came in AND delivered the food to my car parked outside, since I has my dog with me...they were awesome! The ribs were great and fell off the bone. Mac and Cheese was great! My dog loved the chicken strips! We will be back...

Good family run bbq place with options for kids. I had the fried chicken. Next time the rib sampler. Looked and smelled so good.

This is a great place to eat! Been to the old location many times. The owners are wonderful people, the wait staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is unbelievable. I have not been to the new location yet. I plan on going soon. I can only imagine at the new location the food can only be better.

Had the Tennessee jeds bbq salad it was delicous all the meats were so tender. The brisket is by far my favorite.

I was positively heartbroken when I saw the wantagh location closed. The staff is so nice and the thought of never having those ribs & creamed spinach ever again nearly brought me to tears. Then I was elated to discover this location. If the wantagh location was any indication you don't want to miss this.

Ok New BBQ Place in Lindenhurst. Very small place Ribs were 6.5 to 7 out of 10. hardly Fall off the Bone as promised, Karens were a bit fatty. The Sides were great but what good BBQ place has no type of Corn on the Menu? The price was good 15 bucks for 1/2 a rack plus 2 family size sides. We might go back and try the Chicken or pulled pork. Staff was very polite and attentive.
Jason Walters
Very pleased with the food and service, this is a nice little place.
