Craving something sweet but have a gluten or dairy intolerance? Or maybe you're vegan? Look no further, for Goldenrod is here to deliver some of the best pastries I've ever tasted, and somehow still keeping most of them completely gluten and dairy free! The shop is super cute, the staff is really nice and you can try anything in their pasty case and fall in love with it instantly. I definitely recommend any of the cookie sandwiches which are a hit with everyone from my grandma to my four-year-old niece. This pastry shop is definitely worth a stop.

Goldenrod made my daughter’s first birthday cake, and it was so delicious. I sent them three different pictures on what I wanted the cake to look like, and they found the perfect combination. It was delicious, moist, and the frosting was unbelievable! The best part was how friendly the staff was and how easy it was to communicate with them.

Really fun little place to stop for a treat if you're in the area (or even if you're not close). Great macaroons with rotating flavors. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere but not a ton of seating/standing space. Overall great experience, and we will be coming back!

Goldenrod did our wedding cake. Not only was it beautiful, but it was so delicious and they accommodated for allergies in our group flawlessly! They were fantastic from the initial tasting to the design to picking up the cake. Highly recommend!

This place is delicious! The smells make you want more! The staff was friendly and very helpful! My fave was the peanut butter cookie with chocolate inside! 😲

My wife and I went here for the first time last weekend. I got the strawberry lemonade cookie and she got the pink champagne cake. The cookies themselves were flavorless. The texture was fine I guess, but absolutely zero flavor and near zero sweetness. Very disappointing there. The filling was pretty good at least. The cake was kind of gritty, dry, and not nearly as flavorful as we had hoped. Not terrible, but definitely not worth buying again. I'm not familiar with how difficult gluten free baking is, and am being transparent by saying I'm comparing to what I would expect from a normal baked good. Perhaps this style of baking is much harder? In any case, I'm in no rush to return, which is a shame because it has so many great reviews. Perhaps I got a bad batch?

It really pains me to say this because I've always loved Goldenrod. The first time I went was in 2016. I ordered a slice of pumpkin cake and it was amazing. So dense, flavorful and moist. The only thing I didn't like was how unfriendly most of the staff was, like I wasn't cool enough to be there or something. The last three times I visited, the cakes were dry and mostly flavorless. I had a really good cheesecake, but the chocolate torte was so dry and had no sweetness at all. It just tasted like a lot of cocoa powder and no sugar. But the girls working that day were friendly, which was a really nice change. Several months ago, I went in and ordered a slice of white confetti cake. It was also totally dry. I'm wondering if the refrigeration is drying stuff out? I worked in a bakery that served terrible gluten free options, always dry and flavorless. So when I went to Goldenrod the first time I was so thrilled to find a legit bakery. I have no food allergies, I just loved the taste and quality. I might try going back one more time but honestly I feel like the quality has gone downhill the last 2 years. Also, the days of operation change so much, which is fine. But sometimes it's unclear if they are open or not on Sundays and Mondays. I have messaged and left comments on their instagram account and never get a reply. I'm very sad because it used to be my favorite bakery.

So good!!! We love the macaroon’s here and the other pastries are just as amazing. We love to make a stop after the farmer’s markets on sunday. The expansion is SO cool we love the kitchen shop and the things they sell there are so interesting and different we love it!! Can’t wait to come back and shop some more. We love how accommodating they are for different food allergies and preferences. Will be getting our cakes from here from now on.

So happy I’ve found this place! I’m extremely allergic to wheat and can never find anything to treat myself ! So far I’ve tried the gluten free brownie, donut, banana bread, lemon tart and chocolate chip cookie sandwich�� All delicious! My only wish would be that the cinnamon rolls were gluten free�� Will be coming to get a box of goodies for me for Christmas! What are your hours this weekend?

Even if you don't follow a special diet, or are kind of leery of things "gluten free/vegan/etc.," you can't pass Goldenrod by. Everything I've had from there has tasted absolutely phenomenal, and I love the whimsy that Goldrenrod brings to their baked good -- a lemon pound cake dusted in edible glitter with flowers? Teeny heart shaped versions of the most moist and wonderful pumpkin cake you could imagine? Yes please.

This bakery is amazing the gluten free cinnamon doughnuts are amazing taste really good the gluten free macaroons are yummy the gluten free lemon cheese cake is yummy and I love in the summer the chocolate zucchini cake it's amazing to love this place yummy gluten free deserts and everything is yummy nothing bad ever I go every week on Friday very happy

It is so incredibly amazing to be able to go to a place where I can safely eat the delicious treats WITH my non-food allergy friends! The Goldenrod brings me unending joy.

Angela and her team are nothing short of amazing. They are pastry magicians! Everything in the shop that I have tried I have loved! They also made a custom honey flavored Bee Hive cake for my bridal shower and it was amazing. Our wedding cake was fantastic and blew me away and the sheet cakes we got for the reception flew off the table they were so fantastic! These cakes don't taste like a super market sheet cake they taste like something your mom made from scratch...but better! Love love love goldenrod! Would recommend to anyone!

I love this place! I have celiac and have really enjoyed the food here with no issues with contamination in their GF products. I appreciate this so much.

There are a few items here on my favorites list - anything with a GF crust is delicious especially the GF cheesecake, the macarons are a must try in any flavor but my favorite is coconut and I love the peanut butter sandwiches.

My mom and I just stopped today for the first time and it was incredible!! Fanatic service and I was super pumped for the wide variety of gluten free items! I sincerely appreciate having a place like that to go. You have to check it out!!!

I stop in on average twice a week. i am so lucky to have such a wonderful place that offers amazing treats that meet my gluten and dairy free diet requirements. It helps me forget what I can't eat and instead enjoy the amazing items they offer. My friends with no dietary restrictions also love our stops there and are huge fans. Don't know what I would do without these ladies!!!

I ordered carrot cake and a vegan cupcake, they were beautiful, but the carrot cake was very dry and frosting very hard, very disappointed for the cost of these two items�

Angela is an amazing person and an even more amazing baker! For anyone on special diets you will be able to find something to your liking here! Also, she made my wedding cake and it was beautiful and delicious! The guests didn't even know it was dairy and soy free! I love Goldenrod!!

Thanks so much for giving my 6 yr old birthday girl a whole case of gf options! It was worth the drive from Omaha to tell her she could pick whatever she wanted!�

No one can argue that the treats there are truly delicious but what I think is lacking is warmth from the employees. I get a Hello sometimes but not one single person has ever said anything or recommended anything about any of the choices. They just stand behind the counter waiting for you to pick a treat. Retaining your customers is truly important and when you lack welcoming feelings and warmth, you are sure to lose clients. As a customer, I feel like my business there is not valued. An example is when we were there picking out a few macaroons, there were only 2 kinds in the case and we picked a few of each. The employee was well aware we were trying to decide between the 2 choices. She boxed them up and then we saw a large pan of macaroons on the counter close to her and noticed they were a different kind. We pointed and asked if those were different and available. She responded rather flippantly that they were available but she was just filling a pan up for the case display. Gee, she would have never offered them if we hadn't asked. Delicious as usual but just cold staff.
