Applebee's Grill + Bar

So my family and I love Applebee's. We come pretty often for the half price apps and the service is always really good. We always tip good too. I mean great service, great tip, right? Well my hubby and I came by ourselves this time just to have a date and to start we were stuck by the bar which we made it clear we did not want. Then when asked of we could change seats the other seats we were offered were also in the bar, and we were told no to any other seating. It wasn't really busy so it didn't make sense. Then our waitress... jeeze... I asked for a alcoholic drink but realized I didn't bring my Wallet. She said I cant which was fine and I totally understood that. My hubby ordered one and she brought it. She felt the need to remind me I couldn't drink it. I said no problem. She then continued to stalk out table and tell me not to drink it. I never once tried to. My hubby and I were just trying to enjoy our date and converse. It was very startling. She gave us numerous dirty looks and was very very rude to me but very kind and slightly flirty with my hubby. Finally we couldn't handle it anymore and decided to take our food to go. It hadn't even gotten to our table yet We just couldn't deal. So it was prepared to go in the back. When we got home, it was in horrible condition. And one of the chicken tenders was definitely dropped. It had dirt and hair on it. This was disgusting. Behavior and service awful.

The Saturday night bartender is terrible. My wife and I came in and sat down then 3 other people came in after us and she ignored us and waited on them. After she waited on them she still ignored us and did service bar and then disappeared. Shame to say it but service doesn't get worse than her. So we went to Outback, which is among the best I've been to, the bartender recognized me and had my usual drink before I even sat down. To be fair I tip really well, and in cash, but Royersford Applebee's won't find that out. Pottstown one is great though. After dinner we stopped at Railroad, and again great service. Sadly, it's really about the staff at the location.

Wow! We've lived in Royersford for almost 4yrs now and for the first time dined in this location and man did they NOT disappoint! We were seated quickly, handed menus and the drinks came out mere minutes later. Appetizers came out fresh and hot! SO good, but by the time the entrées arrived (perfectly timed), we'd already crushed the appetizers and were full, so we picked at them and then grabbed the check and packed the to-go boxes, and headed out. Our waitress, Kailey (forgive us if that's the wrong spelling) was SUPER sweet and very attentive. She made the date nite with my son and I very nice, thank you!!! We WILL return!
