Waffle House

Waffle Houses are one of my favorite spots. I walked into this place, didn't look too busy. I stood at the counter for several minutes, two waitresses washing dishes and chatting with another customer. Third waitress asked if I was ordering "to go", yes. Third waitress proceeded to take care of a customer who came in after me. I had to leave. If they don't know how to take care of customers, and take care of them in order, they probably don't know how to cook food either.

Kelley was my waitress/Server and even though it was an hour to quitting time for her she provided excellent service. I also enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place. The friendly bartering that was going on and the familiarity they had with the regular customers that walked in. I visited February 7th, 2022 around 1pm. Being a truck driver it's always great when you have the pleasure of being greeted with a genuine Smile 😃

I went inside to order my food and a homeless person snuck into the backseat of my car. I completely aware that was my fault but you'd think ok why would one of the workers say ( Hey I wouldn't leave that car running or unlocked because of this location or area. All I'm saying is a heads up would of been nice is all💁💁💁

They had a new cook and it was apparent. They brought us the hash browns and breakfast meat before the waffle. Had to wait for the cinnamon toast. We ordered blueberry waffles and they brought us plain. Sent them back and when they finally came back they tasted like they weren't completely cooked. My son said it was the worst waffle house he has ever eaten at. It was my second experience at one and I won't be going back to any of them. Had bad experiences at both. Don't know what the hype is, I am not impressed.

I stopped going a few years ago and now I remember why. When I got there I stood waiting for them to clean the table, it took so long I sat down. The waitress was leaning against the wall talking and laughing, she didn't acknowledge me at all. The women at the register did the same, when a group of people came they sat at the counter, the waitress finally cleaned the table and I sat down. The women at the register gave the group menus and still know one acknowledged me. I waited a few minutes and still nothing, I got up and left. I went to IHOP and was presented with respect, even though the bill was high I would rather pay that and receive acknowledgement with respect than ever going back to Waffle house.
