Definitely deserves the five stars. Beau and Jo are the cutest, and the environment they’ve created at Rainbeau Jo’s is personable and fun.
As far as coffee goes, everything is organic! We ordered the latte and drip, but, added Coconut and Macadamia syrups. If you’re like us and prefer your coffee less sweet, absolutely no worries, even with two syrups in a tall the coffee is present first.
Grabbed a cinnamon roll as well since Beau let us know that the bakery items they sell there have been three time Food Network Channel winners.
The marketing is bright and colorful with cute little stickers they add to your cup. I love rainbows and good Hawaiian coffee so overall this visit was a 5/5 from me:)
Only coffee place open on a Sunday morning in the area after a sunrise hike and I was NOT ready for the energy level that was in store. It was loudness, neon lights, and children, like the Barbie movie IRL. I grabbed the first coffee jar and scone I saw and left ASAP. I usually drink espressos or specialty coffee, but this sleepy mountain sugary beverage was good enough. Saw a funny dog upon leaving and people were friendly, when I could hear them. Not for me but not marketed for me.
Beau is the most warm and welcoming person you'll encounter. Aside from having the tastiest smoothies and great coffee options, they make sure each and every customer receives personal attention. Even more, Beau gave me and my wife some excellent travel tips during our visit and even stayed open later to give us our drinks during our 1st visit. Definitely recommend!
Had probably the best bagel I’ve ever had (Earlybird), with the salt cream cheese complementing the soft bagel perfectly. The place has great service and such a good vibe, it’s what you think coming to Hawaii should be like - fun, beachy, colourful, and happy!!! Will absolutely be back.
The best coffee experience we have had. It is a vibrant and colorfully decorated space and you are immediately met with the owner greeting you. He takes the time to give you a rundown of the entire menu. The organic coffee was delicious and they had great pastries too. We sat inside on the sofas and looked at all the plants and decorations inside. The owner says goodbye to every person who walks out even if he is interrupting the person ordering their coffee. They even have a hula hoop station out back so you can get your hula on. It completely redeemed our coffee experience in Kauai and was the most fun coffee shop I’ve been in.
Beau and Jo are commensurately good people. Beau brings so much energy and life to the business, stopping to ask every person what brings them to Kauai (he knows who is regulars are, for sure). We told him we are on our honeymoon, and he and Jo took the time to celebrate us (even getting the whole cafe to cheer). They wished us many good years and had so many kind words of encouragement. And besides all that, the cafe has such a unique, upbeat vibe, and the coffee is amazing! The iced vanilla latte and chocolate croissants were on point. If you’re in search of good coffee, good vibes, and good people, look no further ❤️
Beau makes everyone who walks through the door feel welcome. He took time out of his day to write out a ton of recommendations for us on our visit to Kauai, and he has a genuinely positive vibe which is contagious. My wife and I both said it was the best chai we’ve ever had, and the food was fantastic as well. Stop in when you’re in Lihue.
Beau and Jo are friendly and upbeat. Love the food, the environment, and the positive energy. Really liked the lox bagel sandwich on everything bagel and the Napali nectar smoothie.
What a fun coffee shop. Jo is the man! If someone yelled at you when you walked in and made you feel valued and welcomed, it was him. He and the rest of the staff are hustling and bustling getting everyone their coffee as soon as humanly possible.. just chill I regularly was 5-10 people deep in line and it flew by! They are understaffed and they acknowledge it and ask for your patience while you wait... just relax and wait. It really isn't that long and you won't regret it, food was fresh and tasty.. I've had an iced dirty Chai and a quad espresso over ice, both were made well and tasted great! The food was delicious and fresh! My favorite part was how fresh, the tomatoes were cold which I love, the cream cheese was also cold, the croissants were warm and fluffy and toasted just right.. yum. I've been here 2/4 days and I'm about to head there now for 3/4 days of my trip.
Beau and Jo are two of the nicest people we’ve met! Great coffee and food, they served us even after closing hours, gave us awesome recommendations for surf spots and hikes. Incredible vibes and positive energy! Very special place 💙🤙
