Wow! This is a great Mexican Restaurant. We have eaten at a lot of Mexican Restaurants around the country and this one may be the best. I had the Muchacho Alegre and my partner had the enchiladas Chili Rejenjo and it was exeptional. It is really flavorful and the cerevas were mucho grande.

The wife and I were arguing about petty stuff starting a three week road trip. We decided we needed food. We looked this place up and Mexican food sounded amazing. We were not disappointed. The salsa is amazing, and our plates were phenomenal. The wife and I got over our arguments once we started eating. Turns out we were just hangry.

A very polite young waiter served us. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great. The prices were very reasonable. Definitely a must return kinda place.
Don't mind the nondescript exterior. The interior is roomy and comfortable. Service was great. The menu has an enormous selection of excellent dishes, along with specials clearly marked by days of the week.
We ordered the Texas Fajitas for two and were blown away by the food - generous portions and a flavorful mix of chicken, beef, shrimp, and chopped onions and peppers.
It is always a challenge finding good food along 81. Anything that isn't a fast food place attached to a gas station is a total mystery. When my wife and I want to eat at a restaurant, we don't want to risk going to an unknown place and have a bad experience. However, Muchacho Alegre is fantastic and we will be returning. We can recommend this place to anyone facing the quandary of finding a good place to eat.
The seems to be a newly remodeled restaurant. I love the variety on their menu. The food was very very good. Their cheesecake is worth stopping for alone. They also have a bar with comfortable seating. They have sufficient Tv's to be able to watch about any sporting event. All of the employees are courteous, hospitable and knowledge. The server (Chepe) was simply outstanding. One of the best servers I have ever had. The overall price was not a bad deal at all.
This is not truly authentic Mexican, but delicious nonetheless. The rice, meat, tortillas, chips, salsa, etc were tasty. Nothing seemed dry to me. I really enjoyed the white sauce for dipping chips in. I had never had this before. Service from our waiter Enrique was mediocre despite his reportedly good looks. Again, the food was good, but if you're looking for authentic Mexican don't come here. I would certainly return here if in the area again.
Service is fast and friendly. Was there on a Friday evening - it was busy but service was great. Prices are excellent. Hubby and I got 2 large beers, nachos supreme, burrito and 2 quesadilla for $34. Food is EXCELLENT and the white sauce they server with the chips and salsa is to die for!!! Wish I lived here because I could eat here every week!!
