Lovely restaurant and low lighting for nice ambiance. The food was excellent. My family of 5 each ordered something different and everyone loved their dishes equally. The wait staff was pleasant but service was a bit slow. Prices are a bit high but we still plan to return because the food was worth the price.
I am a longtime fan of Travinia, and I make it a point to stop in whenever I am in the Columbia Area (which is fairly often). Heavenly pastas and just about the best crabcake to be found anywhere -- meaty chunks of crabmeat, perfectly seasoned and devoid of any noticeable filler. Lately, however, I hesitate to recommend Travinia to others because the quality has become somewhat uneven. On the two most recent visits I found a couple dishes -- the Madeira wine demi that was served with the grilled filet and the Parmesan risotto that was served with the otherwise delicious jumbo seared scallops -- to be overly salted. I can't comment on the service in the dining room, as I always dine at the bar, where the servers are always both friendly and attentive. Despite a few recent disappointments, I definitely will return again and again.
My favorite pasta and bread in town. Only gripe is when we have lax service. Lazy servers make it a poor experience when we love to eat there.
Be careful how you order or you'll be stopping by McDonalds on the way home. That said beer is reasonably priced. Atmosphere is great.
Average. I love Italian foods. Travinias is good but given the option I prefer Carabbas.
Good dinner. Went with the family and had a real good experience. The service was a little too relaxed but everything else was great. The timing of the meal was spot on, from drinks to dessert. I had the Madiera Filet and it was a fantastic piece of meat, cooked perfectly, rare of course. Accompanied with garlic mashed, that where good but bland, needed a lot more garlic and butter. My wife had chicken marsala which she stated was very good. Other members of our party also like there food selctions.
Best in Lexington. Great food, great service, nice bar area, live entertainment on weekends. My wife's favorite dish is the sesame encrusted tuna. I usually go for one of their specials.
Great Italian!. This restaurant is a sister restaurant to Arizona's, so I had a feeling it would be really good, and it was! They serve this amazingly soft herbed and oiled bread with the herbed olive oil for starters-they also include a chopped black olive spread. Only thing I did not like was their lack of a variety of ravioli dishes (I just wanted a ravioli dish for some reason that day), but other than that, this restaurant's dishes are delicious! They create great sauces, and the pasta is cooked just right.
The goat cheese was so creamy and had a bold flavor, which I like. The chicken was nicely grilled and the combination of the basil, spinach and sauce was a lovely backdrop. The only change I made was a little salt to pop the flavors. You guys know how I feel about salt. It enhances flavors! Don't be afraid of it. Just use it correctly. Sorry this photo isn't very good; the room was kind of dark , Some other dishes that my companions tried were the crab cakes, which looked like giant lumps of crab and not tons of bread and filler. If I hadn't just met Staci, I would have asked her for a bite!
In a word...AWESOME! Great food, Tristan was our outstanding server, atmosphere and music was just what we needed after a long week. Thanks, Anderson, for letting us take a moment to compliment you and your team!

We visited Travinia in Columbia, SC on a whim traveling back to Augusta from conference and was absolutely surprised! Being a Boston transplant, I had no shortage of access to world class Italian cuisine in the North End, and for the first time since moving to Augusta my taste buds danced with excitement. What a great meal and outstanding service in a warm and very inviting atmosphere that was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We even were approached by Philippe the GM to ask us how we we were doing and was so concerned about our experience he gave us his card. Top class food and service. Do yourself a favor and dine at this fine establishment! Highly recommended
Nikki us an amazing server and extremely personable and knowledgeable about the whole menu. This also included the new wines they are bringing I to their menu. The food is outstanding and the overall experience is amazing. Highly suggest heading there for dinner. Try the Italian Nachos as an appetizer and the pine nut crusted salmon for dinner, absolutely yummy!
Great atmosphere.
Perfect for a casual date night.
Food was delicious.
Service was a little slow, although very professional and it was not as excessive wait once the appetizer hit the table.
Will definitely be back to try new menu items.
We absolutely loved Travinia! This was our first time here and the bartender and the hospitality manager that were here tonight were great! We didn’t have a meal, we sat at the bar and had wine and Italian Nachos. The nachos were amazing! And then the hospitality manager and very knowledgeable of his wine. We had ordered one of the wines off of the reserve list and they ended up not having it, so the hospitality manager came over with a few different bottles for my husband to try to decide on a different glass of wine to have. Highly satisfied, and we will definitely come back here when we are in town again!
I like their effort. They try to make authentic food, but from what I have tasted, their sauces are sweeter than I like. But some may prefer this in a sauce. Also I think they should pair the dish with the pasta better. For example, capellini should be paired with light sauces (lemomy or seafood) and heavy beef dishes should be paired with a thicker pasta like rigatoni or bow ties. However, the waitress allowed me to choose the paste type that I preferred so my overall experience was still good. The social distancing is perfect.
