Yesterday was my first experience at Blue Door but it won't be my last. I couldn't decide what to order when I walked in to heaven and breathed in that awesomeness so I manned up and got the 3 meat platter: brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. And washed it all down with a cold Ski. I shed a tear when I saw the tangy sauce was vinegar based, so I gave thanks, took a deep breath, and dove in. I never came up for air until the plate was clean. I saw a white light and heard angels sing after each bite. Then it happened. The Meat Sweats. It was so worth it. I almost threw up at the gym that night, but honestly, it would've been worth it to taste it twice in 1 day. But for real, it was impressed with the food, atmosphere, and the staff. Everyone was super cool and didn't judge me when I cried because I had to leave. Stupid work and having to adult, when I just wanted a blanket and a nap. #bluedoor #meatsweats #lexingtonky
#1 place to eat in Lexington for a reason! It’s honestly the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Typically, I don’t enjoy these types of places but will eat there anyway, but this place I am actually looking forward to coming back to. I suggest the pulled pork platter (add Spicy sauce on the table), Cole slaw, and BBQ Grippos. Absolutely delicious!
