Red's Diner

After I arrived in LEWISTOWN, PA, and McDONALD’S, one sandwich and coffee behind me, I am hungry still! So, I made the decision to stop at the first eating place I come to. I look to my left and see RED’S DINER. Now inside, I notice a display case with various items in it for sale, and then I looks around and notice the ‘old style’ atmosphere…my kind of place! “Good morning everyone,” I said, and then I look for the perfect place to sit down. Now sitting, a cook/waitress is coming to my table. Now here she said, “Good morning again sir, here is a menu…take all the time you need to order please.” Menu in hands, I start reading: BIG COUNTRY BREAKFAST, 3 eggs, meat, home fries, toast & jelly. -CHEESE EGG OMELET-HAM & CHEESE EGG OMELET & MUSHROOM & SWISS EGG OMELET. Moreover, BUTTERMILK HOTCAKES-BREAKFAST SANDWICHES & CEREAL. There is so much more on the menu than I want to read, here is the objective…FOOD IN MY STOMACH! In the end I order, FRIED BREAKFAST HAM-2 SAUSAGE LINKS-2 SUNNY SIDE UP EGGS-4 TOASTS with jelly & COFFEE. Now full, I go to the restroom and hit the JACKPOT! Over the toilet, is a picture of one of the greatest PRESIDENTS of all times! Drum roll please! PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN’S picture is over the toilet with his famous words… “THE FUTURE DOESN’T BELONG TO THE FAINTHEARTED; IT BELONGS TO THE BRAVE.” RONALD REAGAN

Well I return to see if service has gotten any better. It has not. Well the Chicken & Waffles for $10. You got to be kidding. This Diner is a complete joke. When is Chicken & Waffles have ever have shredded chicken. I Do Not Recommend this place. If I could rate you A Negative. 2 months ago The best word I have to say is friendly staff. Great menu and Prices The food was undesirable. It was executed all wrong. Salad was just lettuce and thin tomatoes slices. The Veal was so gross it stayed No take home for this Place... I would not recommend
