The Italian Bakery

Try the Amaretto cake. There's nothing wrong with the world that a piece of Amaretto cake from the Italian Bakery can't fix. The Italian Bakery in Lewiston doesn't look pretentious from the outside, but they make up for it in flavor and selection. They have lunch options for you, but the bakery is where the heart is. I'm not very familiar with Italian pastries per se, but being European, I usually find American pastries almost sickly sweet. Not so here; the products seem genuinely Italian and I have never been disappointed. My family will be hurt and offended if I do not bring something from this bakery back when I visit Lewiston.

One of the diamonds in the rough. My family has been coming here for generations. The smell alone when you open the door is enough to keep you in forever! The pastries are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hot foods are delicious! Wonderful staff as well. That's it, I'm heading back right now! 🥖🍕🌭🍩🥧🍰

My annual sisters weekend would not be the same if I didn’t make my stop by the Italian Bakery on Friday. First and foremost on the list are the bismarks and tiramisu! And then there’s the donuts, the date bars, and whatever other pastries that catch my fancy ... after all it is a whole weekend with my sisters. They never disappoint and we leave nothing uneaten by Sunday!

The past 3 times I bought donuts very dissatisfied The plain donuts are half the size they used to be All donuts just lack the burst of flavor they’ve had in the past. I would prefer to pay a little more money for the old production of donuts . Many buissiness are on that same train. Smaller and less quality for the same $$$$$. Georgios in Auburn will probably be my #1 now. I will try the holy donut when and if I can ever get in the parking lot, lol
