Istanbul is excellent and 5 star all around. The best lamb Kebabs I have ever tasted. Also, it’s if it’s good enough for King Charles it’s good for you!

We have a great time. We ordered mixed grill plate for two. The meat is okey, iI love the lamb meat, my wife loved the chicken shish and chicken related parts. The rice is good but it"s basmati rice, not the traditional turkish rice. Bulgur rice is somehow doesnt taste nice, we tell this situation to the waiter and they attend to it, so no hearts broken. Our waiter rifki-or Rifik- was very nice to us, hope to see him if we go there. We could see whenever we need a waiter or waitress, which is very pleasant. The baclava is better than expected, the presentation is very well for a desert which was not well known here. Cost was: baclava: 4 pieces, mix grill plate for two and two drinks, about 47 quids.

Had a late lunch with my husband today at restaurant. Received a great service and warm welcome from a host Claudia. She is so lovely and even offered us complementary Turkish black tea. The black tea was so good and the starter bread was amazing! (The best in the town!)

Great service especially from Claudia, food was lovely, the atmosphere was great and there was amazing service for birthdays and other celebrations. They even gave Turkish tea free of charge and sang happy birthday to my dad! I would definitely recommend this place for family’s and I would love to come back again.

Celebrated my dads birthday here last year and this year. Service has always been spectacular. We were served by mehmet and he is the sweetest and most cooperative EVER.. amazing service every SINGLE TIME 🩶

Visited with friends when in Leicester. The lamb chops are amazing. The jumbo platter was enough to feed an army. About a 15 minute wait for a table for 8 of us without a booking which was pretty respectable for a Saturday night. Will definitely visit again.

The food was amazing, and the staff we're really lovely. We had a chicken shawarma and meat shawarma. Although we thought it would come in a wrap/tortilla it was well presented. They gave us some naan breads whilst we waited for the food and they we're very lovely with service.

Istanbul Restaurant delivered a delightful dining experience with delicious kebabs. Finding good Turkish cuisine abroad can be a challenge, but this spot exceeded expectations. The staff's kindness and complimentary Turkish tea added to the charm. Your order of soup and a generous kebab plate for £45, along with a £5 tip, reflected the quality service. My favourite place to eat when I visit Leicester. Been going for last 7 years at least 10 times each year and never had a bad meal.
Food is delicious, staff are efficient and restaurant always busy.
Lamp chops or ribs on charcoal are A++.
