My wife and I really enjoyed eating here. The sauce taste like a custom recipe. I got the lasagna and my wife got the stuff shells. We also got garlic bread and meat sauce. The salad was delicious as it came with ham and plenty of cheese. We are definitely returning to try additional meals.

We went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was fairly empty of dine-in customers and doing a good amount of takeout service. Despite wait staff being pulled to process takeout orders at the register, they were very attentive which was impressive. Staff is very nice and professional. Two people ordered the lamb chop platter in our party and both could not finish them because they were so tough but they said the seasoning was nice. I ordered the gyro platter with the rice pilaf. The platter came with pita bread and on the menu it said it was topped with cheese. Cheese on pita is not traditional in the northeast where we're from and we are maybe spoiled with a good amount of cultural food. I asked them to leave the pita plain but it still came with some kind of buttery garlic coating on it. The souvlaki was was good, typical, and the tzatziki sauce was a little thicker than I'm used to but very tasty. The rice pilaf was very similar to the Knorr's packaged rice one might buy in a grocery store and had the same overly salty bland flavor one could expect mixed in with the reconstituted vegetable bits that come with rice kits like that. Despite that, it was cooked nicely and the texture was good. The Greek salad is good. The menu says it's shredded and it is. That may not be typical of salad but it worked and the dressing is good, sort of like a sub dressing. If you like cheese, you'll like the salad because they put an obscene amount on top. If you like olives, you'll be disappointed because each of our salads only came with two. None in our party ordered any Italian food and we were actually surprised to see Italian food on the menu of a restaurant with a Greek name. That's America though, cultural fusion. I think if you're looking for decent food at a fair price and a low-key environment, it's a good choice. Just order a baked potato instead of the rice and avoid the lamb chops.

We are relatively new to Florida. Still settling in and trying to find some good dining places for eating out. My wife and I are retired and enjoy life's simple pleasures - like a good meal close to home. Once we found this Greek restaurant, we found a great place for very casual dining. Go just as you are and have a delicious meal. They have a Big menu. I'm sure you can find something that will make you want to come back again.

Our first time eating at Takis Restaurant, upon our arrival to this eatery we were shown to a table. The person who was our server was attentive to our needs. We very much enjoyed the items we ordered. Mediterranean cuisine is a favorite of ours. Glad we found this restaurant. The dining area is clean and the staff very pleasant. I can see us making a return trip.

Family came to town. Got take out from Taki’s. Everybody raved about the food even after I drove it home. Everything was delish! 2 Greek salads with chicken and salmon, 2 pizzas, 2 sandwiches, 1 Stromboli, and 1 pasta. Order was perfect. Counting the days til we can go eat in and enjoy there!

I have found it hard to find a good non franchise Italian restaurant in the greater Lady Lake area. And although this is a Greek restaurant, it serves great Italian food as well and is our go to restaurant for Italian. Their sauce is a sweet basil sauce. Their dinners come with a fairly large side salad which consists of iceberg lettuce, julienned ham, olives, feta cheese and a large slice of beefsteak tomato. We chose the house dressing. The food is Big Plates of Food as well. I got the cheese ravioli which came with baked cheese on top. My husband got the chicken parmesan which came with a side of spaghetti . The dinners also come with warm bread . Another customer was kind enough to let me take a picture of his calzone which is the largest calzone I've ever seen. In the picture for reference , his tumbler is a 16 oz tumbler He said he always gets this and it's as good as it looks. Their prices are very reasonable as well. All of their staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Our wait staff was an absolute delight The restaurant itself was clean, handicapped assessable in a pleasant atmosphere.

They have a wonderful baked spaghetti...yum We were a group of 12 people. They made accommodations for us. The waitress was very good. She kept the orders together, checked on us often and had a great attitude.

This restaurant is the real deal… from the cheese on fire… to the tzatziki, all I can say is Opa! Wow… our meals were amazing… an Alfredo with shrimp and ham! Incredibly delicious! Greek salads to die for! Add the coldest beer anywhere in central Florida, and an amazing waitress … this is a diamond in the rough… must try !

Since moving to the area 6 months ago, I end up returning to Takis for lunch on a number of occasions. The place is clean and the food is great. I was seated quickly right at noon and the server came by promptly. Luckily, it was not packed there yet during their busy lunch rush. Lunches always come out fresh and hot. Besides the freshly-made dough in my favorite, yummy spinach and sausage calzone, my new FAVE item is the chicken marsala. Served warm over fresh ziti and I'm happy. Sure, the Greek side-salad that comes with it is aldo nice, but it save room for the mmoist, homemade carrot cake...a MUST-HAVE item. (I have admit that I had to try the baklava at the last visit. I was not disappointed!!)
