This is a family owned business if that is what you like to support. Service was good and food was fine. I had a veggie omelet that was not to greasy. My husband had eggs Benedict. Wishes he asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side and the eggs a little less runny.
I liked the atmosphere here, nice and cozy. The food was pretty good, we got the French Toast and Eggs Alaska with desserts. Good breakfast food with a middle eastern flair. The servers were nice enough, not the friendliest I've ever had, but that was ok with me since they were quick and efficient. I would go back and try other things off the menu.

A cute little breakfast/brunch eatery that is extremely friendly and offers unique tasty options. You will not be disappointed by anything other than they aren't open all day. I will be going back.
LOVE, LOVE,LOVE. Great place to eat and meet friends. Everything is wonderful.
Loved that this restaurant served organic coffee and offered turkey sausage and turkey bacon. Very hard to find either of these in a restaurant. We ordered the French Toast with berries, the kids french toast (came with mini muffin, turkey sausage and fruit) and the breakfast burrito. Everything was fabulous. Will definitely go back again when we visit KC.
This is one of my favorite places to meet a friend for lunch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The banana caramel cake is really good. They change out their menu so theres always something new.
We love this place! After attending a fairly large college institution I was afforded the experience of eating many different types of breakfast foods. This is not your typical good ol' Midwestern breakfast. It is more of Mediterranean/Mesopotamian menu with hints of comfort foods. If you are going here to find a menu full of calorie busting, gravy filled breads and meats, please find somewhere else. I usually have the eggs Benedict and my wife the egg/mushroom crepe. Love this place! I will always go back here
Awesome Local Cafe!. One visit and I'm hooked. I had a holiday turkey sandwich and a cupcake and omg.... so amazing. Fresh, fast, and healthier than anywhere around; plus the staff is super helpful and accommodating. They have breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and desserts. There are so many specialty items that it's hard to choose. A tad on the pricier side (just a little, not a lot) but WELL WORTH IT for the unique, local, hormone free, made from scratch food. Portions are more than enough. I would recommend this place to anyone! It's nice to have discovered such a great local treat!
I started going to The Fig Tree when my holistic doctor suggested it to me when I was diagnosed with a hormone driven cancer because they have hormone free meat and dairy products. My family and I have been going consistently ever since because we absolutely love it! My 7 yr old asks to go all the time b/c they give the kids a chocolate muffin and a fruit plate! Both my sons have gluten and dairy allergies and this restaurant is so easy for us to go to as they offer g-free and dairy alternatives :) I bring all my friends and they love it too. What a great place, sweet servers and yummy food!
Hidden Gem. I can't believe this restaurant has been open for TWO years and I am just now finding out about it!! If you haven't tried it yet, it's a MUST!! I had a Gyro and my friends had the Chicken Crepes and a Cheeseburger. The lamb in the Gyro was the BEST I've ever had! I didn't try my friends food, but they both said they were delicious!! We were so full we didn't get try the desserts, but the bar was full of pastries that looked amazing! I can't wait to go back and try one.
