First time visiting The Golden Lamb and it definitely did not disappoint. It is a treat to take in the historic building. Absolutely beautiful. Leah was our server and she was very sweet and courteous. We did make reservations, given that it was the Friday before Christmas. Even with it being busy,
Came here to eat, not to stay at the hotel.
The service was excellent. The food was excellent. I got the fried chicken; my son got the Shepard's Pie. I will get that next time. The fried chicken was great, and the mashed potatoes and gravy was just the best. But my kid gave me some bites of his She
Had dinner in the restaurant. My wife loves the house salad with grilled salmon. The greens were fresh with a nice crispness to them. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and paired with in house made dressing was a perfect compliment.
I tried the Tavern burger with fresh cut fries, and it was excellent
We went there last night for dinner. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous, and our waitress was friendly. The duck was cooked perfectly and the Yule log was the best dessert I have had.
Lamb burger was very good but we thought the sun dried tomatoes might have been a little sweet. Braised short rib grilled cheese was good. French fries were perfect. Great service in a historic landmark. They just don't make them like this anymore. Price was reasonable especially for the quality
We stopped for dinner on the way home from Cincinnati. Staff was friendly. Food was great! The Golden Lamb was decorated for Christmas. It was such a pleasant, comfortable environment. The town of Lebanon was festively decorated as well.
The place looked beautiful and dinner was exceptional Drinks were very tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the bar music so loud in the dining room. It didn't fit the restaurant atmosphere. Other than that it was a lovely evening.
We came here for a late lunch (a little after 2:00pm on a Sunday) and had an awesome meal. I had the braised short ribs which were tender and just right. I got some pecan pie to go as I was full but it looked too good.
The town of Lebanon is reminiscent of Stars Hollow with the old-town feel. The Golden Lamb staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was classy with a home style charm, and the cocktails were well-crafted. The historical value of the hotel, and each individual room, is perfectly integrated and e
AMAZING FOOD!!!
My family and I ate full course meals with desserts and we all were shocked at how delicious the food was! Everything was great. 4 adults and 1 Two year old cost over $200, however. It was very pricey.
After our meal, we toured the hotel and checked out the gift shop. It's definitely
Just as a visitor walking by and not staying there - I was super impressed that you are encouraged go upstairs and take a look around. If a room isn't being stayed in, it's chained off but the door is open so visitors can see inside. Up on the 4th floor are some museum rooms, like the one about the
The food at this historic Restaurant and In. Was out of this world. It was packed full of love and flavor. They have the formal restaurant, a more modern tavern/bar located upstairs and they even have a cute little gift shop (closed while I was eating). I would recommend calling ahead for space in t
The Christmas season is observed with extraordinary care and extensive decor but the real story is the menu and the dining experience. You can spend more money elsewhere and still not enjoy a meal of this quality. Bon appetite!
Great service, always delicious food. We sat on the veranda. Beautiful evening.
Another favorite part of the Golden Lamb visit is the awesome gift shop with amazing items and the friendliest staff!
It's a historical site with a hotel, tavern, and restaurant. So it's a little pricey. The place is beautiful inside. Didn't get to see the rooms for rent. The food was good and all their food is local from farms. The menu is not your everyday menu either- a lot of different items to choose from. My
Had a birthday getaway and dinner here in the fall and had a great time. Very cool if you like history or just old things. The hotel is simple but comfortable and the food at the restaurant was solid, accessible and much of it was local.
We dined at the Golden Lamb Restaurant. Any time I am driving home from Cincinnati to Columbus this is a necessary stop. We always get the fried chicken which is probably #3 on my list of best fried chicken I have had at a restaurant, but #1 in Ohio. They serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy plus
We did not stay at the Inn but enjoyed a delicious dinner here over the 4th of July long weekend.
I had not been here since I was a child but was glad to see it again. Devilled eggs- delicious (my wife said some of the best she has ever had.) Chicken soup- delicious. Burger - delicious, even with p
