In for dinner on a Friday afternoon, and it was not busy. Seated promptly. Server was properly attentive. I ordered the skirt steak (carne asada) dinner. It was quite good and I’d go there again for that dinner. Price as expected. Beer was good; Corona served with a lime. A good chance I’ll go here again.
August 5 visit. This place was right across the street from our hotel so it was nice to not need to drive to dinner with our four kids.
We were immediately seated and drinks were out quickly. I ordered shrimp tacos and my husband ordered a shrimp chimichanga. The kids ordered typical kid food, lol. The sauce for my tacos could seriously be bottled and sold for millions of dollars. I don’t know what’s in it but it’s amazing!
Everyone loved their meals. I also had a blueberry margarita and my husband tried the raspberry margarita. They were both good but we agreed the raspberry was best.
I love the laid back atmosphere here and the staff seems to enjoy working here. They also looked fully staffed which seems rare these days at restaurants struggling to keep employees on hand. This place seemed anything but struggling. It was a nice breath of fresh air to dine here.
Tampico had both good food and service. I would not call it authentic Mexican food by any means, but it does give customers a midwestern, Kansas twist to Mexican food. The sopapillas were very good!
Wonderful place. Our party of 9 was seated quickly. Our server was awesome. Drinks were served very quickly. Food was also delivered fast. Food was good and portions were of good size. Really enjoyed our visit and given the chance would return again.
The service is fantastic. We ordered and everything came out not even 10 minutes. The server we had was on top of their job. The food was fresh and tasted amazing.
Taco Tuesday was an exceptional experience with a server named Michael he had handsome salt and pepper hair he was very fun and professional and knowledgeable about his job. He created a very memorable experience for our family on Taco Tuesday and even gave my little boy a quarter for the candy machine which he is still talking about today 👍🤫
