My wife and I just finished our 2nd cooking class with Aletha at Monkeypod Jam, and it was such an awesome experience! We did the Kauai Favorites class yesterday, and the Farmer's Market class today. Very different menus and experiences, and we recommend them very highly! We will 100% be making these dishes again back home. The poke, and musubi were delish and all of the fresh local ingredients for the Farmer's Market class made our meal simply amazing. Huge thanks to Aletha and Lola (the adorable pug).

The cooking class was a gift to my boyfriend for his birthday and we both absolutely loved it. ❤️Recommend it 100%. Such a friendly atmosphere and a lovely, clean cottage in the garden of the owner. We learned a lot about life in Hawaii and traditions of Kauai (e.g. Hawaiian salt). Thanks a lot for the great cooking class. We enjoyed it a lot!! Monika & Sebastian from Austria

My husband and I did the Kauai local favorites cooking class and it was so good! Highly recommend. The space was really well set up, Aletha was so inviting and knowledgeable, and the food we made was excellent (and there was loads of it!) I liked how it was a mixture of watching her demo, and doing some of it ourselves. The recipes felt easily replicable at home and we also picked up some great tips along the way. A highlight of our time in Kauai, would definitely return for another class!

Fun and authentic Kauai experience! Both my 10 year old daughter and I have taken multiple classes at Monkeypod Jam and we each have come away from the classes with new ideas and confidence in the kitchen. I'd highly recommend the cooking classes for anyone visiting the island and looking for a unique activity for themselves or their whole group as well as to people of all ages who live here and want to up their game in the kitchen utilizing the locally harvested ingredients. It's a beautiful, clean and welcoming atmosphere and the instruction and recipes are always a treat!

We attended a mango jam making class and we had an absolute blast. We made mango jam and mango chutney from locally grown farm fresh mangos! At the end we got to sample it all with baguette and even try some of the other jams the owner makes. It was so good, I can’t stop eating jam all day! We learned so much and it was a really fun experience to do with some family who was in town visiting. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys cooking or eating! So fun to work with the bounty of the land here in Kauai! My absolute favorite Kauai jam I tasted was the jaboticaba jam, which looks like stained glass and tastes like the best berry jam ever! All were so incredible, coconut curd was crazy good too. A very happy and yummy day!

Really bougie place out in the middle of a small village by the main road, but it's so nice. It's a really upscale coffee shop with really high prices and a lot of cool decorations. Definitely a millennial kind of place, and it also offers classes and meet ups.

This place is great! We are visiting from the mainland and are so happy we found this gem! The coffee, breakfast wrap and pastries are delicious and they also have wonderful jams! They let you try any of the jams you want and are super friendly! We ended up buying the papaya vanilla jam. Do yourself a favor and definitely check this place out, you will not be disappointed!!

This is a great alternative to other breakfast places in Kalaheo. The coffee is fantastic and their new breakfast and lunch menus are amazing. Try the foxy loxy and anything with the homemade jams. Just delicious. Also really appreciate that they use an compostable alternative to plastic straws!

Delicious jams, pastries, sandwiches, and holy cow the lemonade! Some friends and I did a jam tasting, and we were not disappointed. High quality, fresh ingredients from Kauai, and the owner is wonderful. Please support this business and have some tasty things!

Visited for a tasting that was advertised thru Groupon. What a treat. The owner (Aletha Thomas) walked us thru all of her various products and then we were allowed a tasting. This establishment caters to making great tasting products while also being completely in touch with local growers. A fantastic treat was the Spiced Tomato Jam and the Mango Chutney. This is a must visit location to pick up some great tasting treats.
