The food and the service was fantastic. It was my first time there, Jimmy (our server) took great care of us and his recommendations were on point! So many great items on the menu, can't wait to go back!

I recently visited two locations of this wonderful Vietnamese cuisine restaurant chain. They are known for their excellent pho but they offer many other excellent menu items. Authentic to the core. I would highly recommend them as you won't be disappointed. Fairly priced and delicious!

I had the seafood pho....and it was awesome...seasoned just right and my honeybunny had the meat pho..and he loved it. It was so much that we had leftovers. We had the Groupon which saved us money..we liked that. We will be going back!

I've been going here for 3 years now and I can't believe I haven't left a review yet! I love the pho here time and time again! I've tried a few other places within the area but none of them are nearly as good as Basillic! They have another location in Boca off of Federal that is just as good. Yum!
If you love Vietnamese food, this is the place to go. The prices are reasonable, service is good and the food is GREAT! I recommend , five stars :)

We were in vacation in pompano beach and wanted to eat something else than "food chain". Believe you me, this is a must try if you have to pass by pompano beach. The lemongrass chicken was a hit, so I can easily imagine how good the lemongrass should be. Happy hour 'til 6pm on every beer, drinks or wine. And they have a nice selection of wine by the glass.

Cute little restaurant. We love Vietnamese food and usually order bun. We went here and wanted to try something new. I had the lemongrass seafood. It was tasty with plenty of seafood, but next time I would try the bun.

A Unique Dining Experience. What a fabulous restaurant Basilic Vietnamese truly is. Located on East Commercial Blvd. in Lauderdale - By - The - Sea within walking distance of the beach and fishing pier this gem of a restaurant has taken Ft. Lauderdale by surprise with it's fine cuisine and appreciating staff and tasteful decor. I happened on this gem through a discounted voucher from Groupon but it has won me over and I will become a repeat customer because this restaurant is really great in whatever they prepare. The food is exceptionally tasty and very fairly priced and the spices used to make their dishes sets then uniquely apart from all their Asian cousins. Owner and staff add to the wonderful experience that is the cornerstone of this restaurant and you will not be disappointed by anything served here. No matter where you live in the South Florida area; be it in Dade, Broward, Monroe or the South Palm Beach County area get into your car and make a beeline to this restaurant to experience their varied menu, exotic drinks and a dining experience that makes Vietnamese cuisine uniquely interesting and tastefully exciting.

Small space, good food. Tonight was our second time dining at Basilic. The first time left a good impression so we thought we would go back and see if it still measures up. Started with a special appetizer- rocket shrimp- very simple but delicious. We also love their shrimp chips and sauces that are served immediately upon seating. AS for our main course, had to go again with the grilled chicken pho- it is delicious. The shaking beef was also very good- though the fried rice that accompanied the beef was just so-so. Overall this place serves really good food and is worth checking out. It was busy both times we have been there. The only drawback to this place is the noise level-it is a rather small space so it can get quite loud when busy.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the tri county area. The spicy pho is amazing, as is the roasted duck pho and the calamari. Can't wait to come back and try more off the menu!

When you walk in, the place just smells delicious! We were impressed with the way the friendly staff really pitched in and worked as a team rather than leaving guests waiting for their assigned server. And then there is the food! Yum! We had spring rolls, grilled chicken pho, shaking beef, and Vietnamese coffee. All superb. We really like the homemade lemongrass sauce, too. Unfortunately, they don't bottle it. Home run!
First time there and I had the "shaking beef" which was perfect. Filet meat was fresh, tender and cooked perfectly with the onions and peppers. Definitely coming back for that again. Fiancé had the pho and I tasted it, a little heavy on the cilantro.
After reading the bad reviews, I gave it a shot anyways. Service was great! Fried calamari and shrimp appetizer was lightly battered and yummy. The house made chips on the table had a great crunch and flavor and the pho was very good. No lack of meat and I added veggies, it was delicious. I will return!
Love it!. I'm not sure why the rating is so low for this restaurant, because I think it is wonderful. Food is very flavorful, and the service was excellent. I love the lemongrass chicken, which is my usual test for a Vietnamese restaurant. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Chicken Pho. Best Chicken soup ever!!!
Excellent. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, order the pho, 8 bucks for a tasty soup, and the fun of throwing beansprouts, mint, lime, and chilis into it.
I basically joined urban spoon to defend THIS place as a great place to eat.
I was a bit skeptical of basilic because of the low rating but, after my third trip, have decided that you can't dislike basilic if you like vietnamese food. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, everything was exactly as I expected, and you'll see me there many more times to come!
Basilic. I have eaten at this small restaurant 4-5 times this year. it is really very good although the decor is simple and if crowded the service can be slow.

Excellent!! Clean zenlike place with great food. No more going out to the boonie burbs for pho at run down mom and pops anymore! Plus they have beer and wine.
Great food, wine & prices. My husband and I found Basilic when searching for a Vietnamese restaurant east of 95. The atmosphere is OK (could definitly use some mood lighting) but the food, wine and definitely prices make up for it. We've been several times and always order our favorites: bottle of 7 Deadly Zins (around $20), seafood crepe appetizer and the lemongrass noodles with filet & scallops. The entrees are big enough to share (and fill) and our bill is usually around $50! Its a great bargain for a great meal.

Excellent Food!. Basilic Vietnamese Grill was my first experience of Vietnamese food and it was EXCELLENT! The food was full of flavor, the environment was nice and clean, the customer service was wonderful and the cooks are fabulous. For those of you who are curious about this restaurant give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Great Place. I went there for the first time last night with my wife, and we both loved it. The whole staff was great, very friendly and very helpful. The food was as fresh as can be, and cooked to order. With such fresh herbs like mint and cilantro the dishes really came alive, the way they are supposed to. This could never be achieved in a chain restaurant. We cant wait to go back, I can't find anything we didn't like.
Classy beach restaurant where you must start with a mango smoothies. The shrimp toast starter was great and the host and waiter were very friendly! A new favorite!
Very Good Vietnamese. This place just opened 5 days ago. Came for lunch, had Fresh Spring Rolls, Ha Noi Style Vermicelli (chicken), and the wife had Vietnamese filled Crepes.
Everything was excellent! Vince the owner came out and greeted all the customers.

Our experience was simply fantastic. The waitress was very informative, giving great descriptions of the items on the menu. The food was placed in front of us in a timely manner. They were attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The white crispy puffs they give you when you sit down were absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh and hot, with a taste that will make your tongue slap you in the brains. We been here vacationing all week and visited on our last day, wow I wished we would have stopped in sooner. It’s time to head back to NC. We will be back and we highly recommend this restaurant.
they have the best spring rolls, hands down! i had the papaya salad with beef and it was very refreshing, perfect for a summers day. the lemongrass chicken was really good too, and their iced coffee rocks!

Food was amazing, the pho broth was spectacular. The spicy lemongrass paste was something that I had never tried before. Will definitely come back when we return to Fort Lauderdale.
In the area for dinner and stopped in. No wait time and grabbed a table outside. Quickly greeted with menus and utensils. I ordered the Pho beef and was served within a minimal amount of time. The soup is a large portion with an abundance of sprouts on the side and extra greens. The broth is very light with plenty of flavor. The noodles are thin complimented with thin cuts of beef that are easy to chew. The servers were very attentive checking up on a regular basis. Although is relatively close to the Beach side restaurants and bars, it doesn’t have bothersome crowds around it making it a pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the summer sun. The price is very reasonable and a great place to dine if your in the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very pleasant lunch. We walked in with no wait around 2pm. Greeted immediately by Quinn and was able to pick out any table. We sat right by the front window and was brought over plates, menus and waters promptly. Few orders Shrimp Spring Rolls and Pho. No complaints on anything everything tasted wonderful, delivered quickly and waitress was very attentive. I will definitely be back and would recommend to others.

Overall a 3.9.There was only 1 server however it was not busy. Not a very big place the server wasn't attentive or demonstrated any customer service skills. She was more concerned with the different platforms where customers place orders to be picked up. The experience started with a serving of shrimp chips which were fresh, and crispy. I ordered vegetable/spring rolls wrapped in rice paper made with lettuce, cucumbers, and thin noodles accompanied with a peanut or Vietnamese sauce. I opted for the Vietnamese sauce, and added a house spicy sauce. The lettuce was crunchy, the noodles were angel like, and the sauce made the experience fantastic. Ordered the House fried rice which had different proteins, and vegetables. It was served at the right temperature, and well cooked. The portion is big enough for 2. I also ordered the Vietnamese meatball Pho which is noodles in a broth garnished with vegetables and slices of meatballs. Temperature wise it was super hot, the meatballs were a bit bland taken over by the taste of scallions and a lemony taste. I asked for dessert, and there was none. They do offer a wine list, however no bar. I did enjoy the food. I'd comeback. I didn't allow the service provided to be an obstacle for the food which was fresh, the noodles were tender, and well prepared. Beware ask about the spiciness of the plates you're ordering especially if you are not into spicy food. There are vegetarian options available.
The Thai Iced Tea is to die for, it is absolutely delicious! Quynh and Frandline are the nicest best severs ever too! I love this place 😁

The woman who served us was so helpful as we were unsure what we wanted to order!
Be aware the portions are large! Although many reviews tout the Pho, it was a sweltering night, so we opted for the appetizer sampler (superb!) and two main dishes. We only ate some of our main dishes. We took the leftovers home! And we had a superb lunch the next day!
We will be back!
Great Vietnamese spot a couple blocks from the beach. The food was delicious and the portion sizes generous. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner if you're in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
A smallish restaurant with great food, and great service. Did not realize that Vietnam had a great BBQ culture until I tried the pork chops, wow... Decent wine list to pare with your foods. I would recommend this place.
I stopped in with my son. Quinn served us. We ordered spring rolls and beef pho. Excellent service and food. The restaurant itself is decorated in a way that provides a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a hidden gem in LBTS (super easy walk without the crowds and construction).

Excellent Pho with awesome service. Big shout out to "Luke" whose attention to detail and constant hustle was remarkable in every way with all the customers (dine in and take out). Lemongrass wings were juicy and cooked to perfection (I'm from Buffalo and know a good wing), and the Calamari and Shrimp appetizer was delicious. The Pho broth was very tasty and the noodles were a great match. Definitely would recommend without any hesitation at all.
Just finished having scrumptious dinner at this Basilic Vietnamese Grill. We are limited to vegetarian and no red meat, our server Cuynh was extremely nice. She helped us pick the main dish, stir fry rice noodles with lots and lots of veggies and tofu. For the appetizer we had the Vietnamese crepe, it was the first time I tried this, it was totally amazing.
Cuynh said we can even customize our dishes and they will gladly do it. I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant real soon.
You can control the spice level, as they give you plenty of hot sauces.
My stomach is so happy😊😊😊
PS.. their portions are very generous, you will end up taking home the left overs.
