Male bartenders ignore you, even though you have an open tab. Got served once, been standing here forever waiting for a 2nd drink. Clientele also leave something to be desired. Gross. Avoid and go somewhere more attentive.

Not far from the front entrance of New York New York. I believe the closest free parking is the Tropicana. Not a big place but can hold a crowd. My friend came early (7pm) on a Fri and she didn't have to pay a cover for the standing area and they had a drink happy hour going. I showed up around 8, the pianists were starting, there was a line to wait in, and happy hour was over, but didn't pay a cover since I have a local ID. The sitting side requires a reservation from what I could tell. It gets crowded fast, come early for a good standing spot or you might only get to hear instead of see, which is OK but it's fun to see the table side also singing and dancing along. It's very loud in there my friend and I had to yell to talk.
Basically people fill out a song request card and include a bill for the tip. Obviously the bigger bills get the attention of the pianists. They played a few different genres which was impressive. Everyone was there to have fun and the vibe was great. Our bartender was also awesome. I would recommend going and experiencing it. Drink, be merry, sing and dance along, and tip the pianists before you leave.

Was great to start. Bartender was awesome and friendly. Moved to the outside bar and told the bartender I had a tab inside...his words were "order from him." Im a bartender and if you cant multitask then you need a different job.

This is an interesting bar to hang out with friends. You tip to have your song played on the piano. However they never played my song :/
Bigger tips means your song will actually get played. I think that how it works. Service is fast. Food is not exactly healthy.
