Durango Taco Shop

The food is great, I tried the menudo for the first time it was really good. But the service is horrible, the lady taking my order was on the phone with someone on her ear bud and really was not paying attention to the customer and was not friendly at all. Do I recommend this place yes there food is delicious, but the service not so much.

I came to Durango Taco Shop today for the FIRST time, despite having lived very close by for four years! I was in search of the perfect queso-birria tacos, and I FOUND them here! The person working when I visited was Stephanie and she was just so nice and friendly, very helpful. I ordered my food ( three queso-birria tacos, which are beef), with some Jamaica ( say: Huh-My-Kuh) en español!! Despite having grown up very near the Mexican border, I had never tried Birria before today. Not only were these tacos amazing, but were one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! This place is tiny, with a small dining room, but what it lacks in space, it more than makes up for with its delicious food and friendly service with a smile; this is an example of a tiny little hidden gem. Go. Try. It. Today!

Stopped by just before closing ( didn't know it was closing yet), but they were cool with it and took our order. My wife got three chicken street tacos and I got carne asada fries! The street tacos were great and chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy and my carne asada fries were just as good, but the only thing I wasn't a big fan about was the cheese covering my fries! They use a liquid cheese ( Nacho cheese kind ) that you would find in the convenient store for a cheap hot dog. I don't know if you are able to ask for real shredded cheese or not but overall it was still good

First visit today. Had to get the queso birria tacos and they did not disappoint! Also grabbed the mango Pina agua that was delicious. My hubby tried the horchata, also great flavor not the watered down stuff. Got a wet style tamale, and then a birria plate. Will deff be going back to try more menu items.

Surprisingly good, was expecting it to disappoint with a lot of the reviews but gave it a shot. Locations a little shop but the food comes out pretty quick. The lady working seemed a bit annoyed I couldn’t pronounce what I wanted correctly once I shower her the picture on a menu. Was a little taken back by it because obviously everyone isn’t going to have the same pronunciations and it really shouldn’t matter how a customer says it if they convey what they want. Hopefully that changes because I enjoyed the food but only time will tell.
