Poppy's Frozen Yogurt & Ice Cream

Exceptional customer service plays a pivotal role in determining the success of a business. In my opinion, even if a restaurant serves excellent food, a lack of satisfactory customer service would deter me from returning or recommending the establishment to others, whether at work or in personal circles. Fortunately, Poppy's Frozen Yogurt stands out as an exception in this regard. As longtime patrons, we generally experience seamless service when ordering in person. However, our confidence wavers when utilizing Doordash for delivery, as we have encountered instances of receiving incorrect orders multiple times. Upon a recent mishap, I highlighted the need for additional training for the staff. To my surprise, the owner, Jon, promptly reached out to me via Yelp. He assured me that extra training had been provided to the staff member involved. Jon went above and beyond, extending an invitation for us to return and generously offering two sundaes as a gesture of goodwill. I communicated to Jon that our intention in writing the review was not to seek free items, but rather to address the recurring issue of incorrect orders through Doordash. Jon emphasized that it was fair for us to receive the correct items we had ordered. During our return visit to the store, the staff member responsible for the Doordash order apologized and explained that he was new. Ashley, the store manager, exceeded our expectations in addressing the situation. Despite the occasional hiccup with Doordash orders, all staff members consistently display professionalism and courtesy. With the additional training provided, we hope there will be a more thorough double-check of Doordash orders before handing them over to dashers. The ambiance at this establishment always seems to be family-friendly, which is always a good sign. Supporting local businesses is important to us, and Jon's genuine concern for his business is evident. Our family is deeply impressed by his thoughtful gesture, which speaks volumes about the business's commitment to customer satisfaction. This kind of dedication is instrumental in fostering long-term customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth. We look forward to ordering from Poppy's Frozen Yogurt again, and we may opt for in-person orders to ensure a consistently amazing experience.

My nieces & I love Poppy’s! Ashley at the counter is always an absolute delight and super kid-friendly! She goes out of her way to speak directly with my young nieces and patiently answers all their questions. I am thrilled whenever we see her working at the counter. So it was shocking the other evening to hear an awful Karen going off on her. This customer had 2 tween age kids who were adding toppings to their cups and eating them without 1st paying. The frozen yogurt & topping are charged by weight. Both kids were old enough to know this was not an all-you-can-eat buffet. But when Ashley gently asked the kids to place them on the scale before eating, their mom began throwing a fit. Screaming, “I don’t like your tone,” & “How dare you talk to my kids like that”! Ashley tried to explain when Karen cut her off, asking why do you even care? Politely, Ashley pointed out the cameras, explaining the owners watch the cameras & she didn’t want to get in trouble. I couldn’t believe my ears when, before leaving, “Mom Karen” responded, “It’s not like they watch the cameras 24/7”. (WHAT!!!! I thought to myself)Thankfully, it became an excellent teaching moment for my 3 elementary-age nieces. As we enjoyed our ice cream, we discussed how stealing is still stealing regardless of whether someone is watching. Even if an adult behaves badly, it doesn’t mean the behavior is acceptable & the importance of treating people with kindness & respect. Out of the mouth of babes- the best laugh of the evening came when my 5-year-old said, “Someone needs to put that mommy in the time-out corner.” I couldn’t agree more!!! Miss Ashley, know your honesty, customer service, and compassion are appreciated!!!

My wife and I love this place! Such friendly staff that never fails to offer a warm welcome and a fond farewell. On a personal note. I love cookies and cream ice cream cake and let me tell ya… They have the absolute BEST cookies and cream ice cream cake I have EVER tasted in my 37 years of life. Highly recommended!

I love this place. Probably go more often than I should. Its always clean, staff is friendly & helpful. Trianna went above and beyond last week when I called to see if I dropped my wallet outside. She literally got on her hands & knees in the parking lot to retrieve it under a car. She was amazing. Nick is also great. He's very personable, and always.happy to be there. The best part though is they always have Dole Pinapple Whip.🍍😋 Thank guys! See u tomorrow!
