OMG! This place is hands down 1 of..if not THE BEST Pizza/Italian food I've ever had! 1st, let's start of with the ambiance, it's so adorable. It's small & intimate but its perfect. I felt like I was at a legit Italian restaurant in Italy. The music, the decor, the setting was just amazing. The service was 100000% on point. The moment we set foot in the place, we were greeted & seated. The whole staff was so nice & helpful. They made us feel so welcome. We sat down & instantly got attended, our server I believe was the owner himself & his attention to detail catering to us was phenomenal. He went over the specials, what was popular & what he recommended & it was just nice. He served us a cup of this amazing wine that he assured went well with everything on the menu. & lemme tell you, he was right. The wine he gave us paired well with EVERYTHING we ordered. It was complimemtaey btw, for us being 1st time customers. He also hooked us up with some Garlic Knotts, a House Salad & the wine...on the house! Everything was made fresh! Most definitely worth the wait! Ugh I cant get enough of this place. I fell in love with it & the food! We ordered a meat lovers pizza, a calzone, chicken alfredo & the Caprese Salad. I cannot lie when I say all of it was exquisite! IT was just beyond delicious, words just simply cannot describe how good this food was. You have to try it for yourself 2 understand. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I will most definitely be coming back. The ingredients taste so fresh & it all tasted so good. The alfredo was my favorite, the sauce was 2 die for! You can just taste the quality of the ingredients. So rich & creamy. Perfection! I also ordered the cheesecake but I have yet 2 try it because I'm so full, but ugh. More people need to know & come to this divine establishment. I can go on for DAYS reviewing how amazing the food was & the exceptional customer service of this restaurant but I will let yall experience it for yourselves! Please, next time you are in the mood for authentic, delicious, exquisite food. Come 2 Giovanni's. You will not regret it. A hole in the wall it is indeed. Amazing, simply amazing beyond all rationality. I simply cannot put into words how happy I am with this place.

This is a great neighborhood hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Everyone is friendly and the food is really good. Also, there's lots of fun stuff to look at if your date/family/friends aren't interesting! 🤣🤣🤣

We have just moved here from Los Angeles and we have tried a few Italian restaurants around town and they were just "okay." We found this place on Yelp, and wow, what a great find! I had called to make pick upn order and Chef James answered the phone. He was so kind and very helpful. I am a vegetarian and ordered the Vodka Rigatoni, without the meat, and Chef James suggested that I add some capers and it was out of this world. My husband ordered spaghetti and meat sauce, he said it was the best he has had in years! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge, so much that we have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. The menu is full yummy looking dishes and we cannot wait to go back. We will l make this our new place for Italian food. Thank you, Chef James.

I come here as often as I can when on this side of town. An awesome place to treat yourself to good eats that are well portioned and fairly priced. The bread here is fantastic and make for some pretty spectacular sandwiches. Owner and his staff are very friendly and attentive and I always feel welcomed and enjoy their company. Chicago Bears fans need to especially check this place out on game nights as the owner is a fan. Anyone passing through the Spring Valley area should really not miss out on eating here.

This is a small place. The inside looks like it's a very old style Italian place it could be updated. Everyone is nice there our server was extremely nice. Ordered lasagna and it was a pretty good-sized I had enough to take home and having another meal. Are garlic knots are okay. I would go there again

I just read through the newest reviews, they have got to be fake. Don't listen to them. Being military and moving all over the world we have had the opportunity to dine in several fine establishments. After moving here a year ago we have tried many local restaurants and always left disappointed. NOT TODAY THOUGH, finally! We have found a fantastic place and left completely satisfied. The food is amazing and the prices are great! Our waiter was exceptional and I truly hope we get him again when we return. Thank you for the great time!

This was our first time visiting Giovanni's and we were thrown off when we opened the door. We expected a typical strip mall pizza place, instead of a nice, cozy Italian restaurant that makes you think the Rat Pack are going to visit any minute. The owner was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The pizza was amazing. We'll definitely return to try some of the pasta dishes.

We ordered for delivery pizza, garlic knots, lasagna and lobster rigatoni for the entire office luncheon yesterday and everything was perfect!!!! The pizza was hot and crust was slightly crispy on the bottom and oh so flavorful!! You can tell they use the best you can buy ingredients -the sausage!! so good with the mushrooms!! and the supreme pizza is by far and away the best in town!! the lasagna traveled very well and not a scoop was leftover!! "the best I've ever had" my assistant said!!! "to die for!!" the lobster rigatoni is killer!!! if you haven't had it yet - it is a must try!!!!!!! the service from the time i called till delivery arrived was absolute top notch!! we gotta keep this place in business- so order up!!!!! They told me to come dine in for the steak and lobster- see below.

I always say you can tell if a Italian place is good if it's full of Italians. And this definitely checks that box. This place is INCREDIBLE! and when it says hole in the wall it really is. We came on a Saturday and it had live music, the lighting is dark and cozy and the staff and owner are all super friendly and funny. It's a super cute and quirky place, a tiny slice of Italy. Last but not least the food is great and the wine was wonderful. I'll come back again and again, it's a new favorite.

This is our second time coming to Giovanni's hole in the wall. Our experience both times has been great. The food is outstanding. They have an amazing deal with steak and lobster but the ambiance is everything. Will definitely be returning.
