Original Tommy's

Growing up in SoCal around the corner from a Tommy’s location pretty much sealed my fate. I love this place! For me, it’s comfort food that reaches the deepest part of my soul. I usually stop at this location when I’m passing through or staying in Vegas. The food has always been good here, as good as any location in SoCal. I usually come in the morning so that I can get my go to Tommy’s breakfast sandwich and chili cheese fries with tomato pickle and onion on top. The breakfast sandwich is one of the wonders of the industrial age. Just the combination of Tommy’s chili, cheese, sausage, and a fried egg is sublime, but that’s not all. They pair that combo with pickle, onion, tomato, and mayo, and then wrap it all in an English muffin-it’s pure umami Nirvana! The chili cheeseburgers and chili cheese dogs here are the best I’ve ever had. I usually don’t have space for them though. I reserve filling in the nooks and crannies of what’s left in my stomach for Tommy’s chili cheese fries. If you like chili cheese fries you need to try Tommy’s version. Again, they are the best! (in my unbiased opinion, of course) Personally, I think they’re even better than the best if you add tomato, pickle and onion on top. And by the way, the tomatoes at Tommy’s are amazing! You’ve never had tomatoes this good at a burger joint. For the uninitiated, it’s best if you wash down Tommy’s with Mountain Dew, or if you’re like me, Diet Mountain Dew. If you haven’t been to a Tommy’s before you need to make the pilgrimage and put your faith to the test. I am confident that once you do, you’ll kneel at the Altar of Koulax and pledge your undying devotion just like I have. If you see a .3 or .7 it means: .3 = Wasn’t as good the 2nd or last time I tried it .7 = This was better the 2nd or last time I tried it.

In my opinion one of the best chili I’ve ever had The burgers are so big and fresh the big portions are just perfect, you get your money worth in this establishment Is never that busy and it’s a good alternative choice to the other regular fast food joints. The only downside is sometimes the employees doesn’t have the best attitudes out there, they don’t even greet you or have some simple manners and makes things kinda awkward. But the food is great so that’s what it counts at the end.

My hubby LOVES this place. He grew up with it in So Cal. I don't care for it. But, it was clean, the service was good and my hubby was happy with the food. It's just not my favorite. Giving it high rating because while it isn't my favorite, I know plenty of people who like it a lot. They let you put chili on pretty much anything , so if that sounds good, this is a great choice.

I ordered the double chili cheese burger without a bun. They were a bit confused at first as to how to serve it. But quickly resolved. Food was good. Chili was good. Dining area was clean. Service was acceptably quick. There were very few people in the restaurant. I was here on a Sunday evening. The only negative: No caffeine free diet soda options.
