We had a dinner there for many of my Board members of my charity. I had not eaten there in a while but it was convenient because those who came in from out of town were staying at the Santa Fe Hotel. This past Tuesday night I set up a late reservation for dinner. We did not arrive until about 8:00pm. I know it was towards the end of their day but the staff was great and very attentive. They did not try to rush us out. Everyone in our group's food was cooked perfectly. Nobody had a negative word about anything. I had the grass fed filet and it was cooked perfectly. The staff could not have done anything better.

I was extremely shocked to notice that I haven't rated/reviewed this restaurant yet because my family and I have eaten here ~10 times now. When I tried this restaurant for the first time several years ago, I recall the experience being less than adequate. I didn't feel that the food quality and atmosphere were all that great; however, that experience only occurred that one time. Luckily for my family and I, we gave it another chance and the rest is history. I enjoy coming to this restaurant because you receive high quality food and service, all while having that casual feel (not having to dress up, top to bottom). I won't go through every entrée that we've ordered at this restaurant and provide a detailed explanation of each; however, I will list all the items we've tried since our initial visit. Since our first visit, we've ordered the following items: Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, Calamari, Lobster Bisque, French Onion Soup Gratinée, Petite Filet, Filet Mignon, Bone-in Ribeye, Bone-in New York Strip, Prime New York Cut, Grass-Fed Filet Mignon, Lamb Chops, Charcoal Room Burger, Salmon, King Crab Legs, Lobster Tail, Grilled Asparagus, Steamed and Sautéed Spinach, Mushrooms, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Potato, Mashed Yams, Broccolini, Mac & Cheese, French Fried Potatoes, and Shishito Peppers. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of every item we've ordered in the past, but I did attach pictures from a recent visit (Lamb Chops, Grass-Fed Filet Mignon, Mashed Yams, Shishito Peppers, and Chef's Special Crab Cakes). Also, during my recent visit, I wanted to try something different since I've tried basically every steak cut this restaurant has to offer, and I'm glad I did too because the Lamb Chops were outstanding. To note, my favorite menu items are (no specific order): Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, Grass-Fed Filet Mignon, Lamb Chops, King Crab Legs, and Shishito Peppers. The one thing that was slightly disappointing was the Chef's Special Crab Cakes...although the quality was great, I didn't feel that it provided that "wow factor" to be able to charge $35 for it, especially when it's only an appetizer. I've been to so many restaurants downtown and on the strip and it's rare that you pay more than $24 for crab cakes. But hey, it's not that big of a deal...and even though I could ask the question, I would still recommend that your server advertise the price when mentioning the specials. The service at this restaurant is impeccable. We have never received any unsatisfactory service since our initial visit, which we probably could all agree is equally important as the food quality. And, aside from the crab cake comment above, the price-to-quantity/quality ratio here is very reasonable. The décor here could use a little freshening up down the road but it's definitely not a show stopper, nor does it look old/grungy to prevent customers from eating and enjoying their time here. Overall, my family and I love coming here. It's also great that this restaurant accepts meal comps from Santa Fe Station which regardless if you're winning or losing in the casino, you can always enjoy a great meal here, courtesy of the casino (if applicable). I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

If you haven't been here, you should definitely change that. This is the steakhouse restaurant in Sante Fe Station. My lady and I have been coming here for years now, and it's only been this last November that I was able to slow down just enough to grab a snapshot of our table before we jumped in. The atmosphere of dimmed, warm lights with pleasant music in the background really adds to the ambience. The food is always top notch. We usually get the Oysters on the half shell and shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. Then we go after the prime New York Strip or the Porterhouse and a Lobster Tail as our main course. Desert is always the Crem Brulee along with 2 cappuccinos. We will always come back here to celebrate special occasions.

We could not find fault t all with this place. Service from Justin and his team was outstanding. We had the chopped salad and French Onion soup, both had the filet with Bearnaise sauce and sides of the Mac & Cheese and corn. All excellent. Would place this place at the top of Vegas steak houses. Especially for the price point.

I just want to say that this place has an awesome service! Anthony and Gabriel just make you feel like you're the only table they're waiting on. Very warm, professional, very considerate, patient with us, Anthony answered our questions and very accommodating..I'm giving it 5 stars because these two employees stood out. And oh, btw the food there is great! Kudos to the chef too💖

Went to The Charcoal Room inside Santa Fe Station casino this evening for dinner to celebrate a family member’s birthday. Atmosphere is definitely upscale but not over the top. Staff is very polite, attentive and friendly-we really felt cared for. Our waiter Anthony was great! He brought up and suggested the “catch of the day” which was pan seared halibut. I couldn’t tell you all that it was seasoned with and all the details of it but it was delicious and I posted a photo of it here. Everyone had a really great time, enjoyed the food and drinks and I would definitely return to celebrate a birthday here!

My expectations were definitely exceeded by the charcoal room. Before I was invited to dine there, I was unaware of this location, and it was really beautiful. The Seabass was perfectly seasoned. Scallops, calamari, and lobster mac & cheese were also excellent. The pear sidecar was excellent😍

We went for our anniversary and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The food was amazing and great with timing. Pricing was not bad either. Will definitely come back to try other dishes!

We had a really good experience if 4.5 stars was available that’s what we would have give the Charcoal room. Just a couple things that made it not quite a 5 star steak house in Las Vegas. 1. Dirty Menu 2. Random black hair on our table cloth. 3. Fake pink rose pedals 4. Not quite a 5 star steak. Things that were great: mashed potatoes, the bread, the steak was really good, and the elote corn dish. Best of all was the service drinks were always full and very attentive to our needs!

Great food. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu! The desserts are excellent too. Only downside is smoke drifting in from the casino if you sit close to the entrance.
