Hobak Korean Bbq

If you like beef and pork, this is the place for you. Food prep hibachi family style. Excellent. Different cuts of beef and pork marinated was excellent. This is not a large place make reservations. Will dine here again. I am not a beef eater but the members of my party were. They enjoyed everything. Multiple condiments from soup rice and spicy.

Hobak is KBB for those who want high end meats not AYCE. The quality of the meats is wonderful. All of the normal sauces and sides. They do not have lettuce wraps though. And the servers help cook the food for you. Some people like it some people don't so make sure you let them know how you want things cooked and if you don't want the vegetables mixed in. Overall one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I have had here in town. Just know you pay for it.

My family and I ate here multiple times now and even though the food is good, it definitely isn't my favorite go-to spot for Korean BBQ. In fact, the only reason I went here for a second time is because my daughter enjoys coming here and since she's leaving for college, this is where she wanted to eat. First and foremost, the service here was stellar. Our primary server, Milan, did an exceptional job - she was very friendly, professional, and cooked our food very well. To be honest, I was shocked to see our server cooking our food because traditionally, I'm used to cooking for everyone in my family at Korean BBQs, but at the same time, I was appreciative of it because I didn't feel like cooking that night. The food quality was good; we ended up ordering the Large, Family Combo 1. Both the beef and pork were high quality cuts and the restaurant definitely didn't skimp out on the quantity of the meats. I was somewhat disappointed that neither of this restaurant's combo options had regular, marinated Kalbi (this is my all-time favorite Korean entree). The spicy Kalbi in our combo meal was good but didn't have that impact to my taste buds as my other Kalbi typically does. The beef brisket was outstanding and always a great starting point to any Korean BBQ feast! The environment was decent. Even though it shouldn't matter, but since this restaurant has history with the members of BTS (take a stroll around the restaurant to find the memorabilia), and since my daughter claims her spot as a bonafide Army, there was an expectation for this restaurant to play a lot of BTS songs (well, we were hoping for it)...but this didn't occur as much during this visit. I didn't mind that much but I was hoping that it would occur for my daughter's sake before she left Las Vegas. Also, the vent system was less than adequate. I mean I enjoy getting blasted in the face maybe once with that smoky goodness of beef sizzling on the hot grill, but I'm not a fan of it constantly blowing my way and in my eyes while eating. Overall, the experience was good. If you haven't been here before, you definitely need to try it.

I had the best experience at Habak! Every single worker was nice and helpful. Made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were there. Made it on the wall. Not a local but I hope I can make it back and see myself on the wall. Price was a little high for what I expected but you pay for the experience and quality. Not a regret! Normally I don’t leave reviews but this place just hit differently. Appreciate the good service. Keep it up, I’ll keep coming back and recommending it. Glad to see the owner/manager walking around making sure his employees were taken care of as well as his customers. Glad to see that management actually cares. It makes a difference. Hobak was a fun and flavor filled adventure into Korean barbecue. There was almost no wait when we arrived and the hostess was very friendly. The menu was well explained and filled with lots of options. The side dishes that accompany the barbecue were tasty and plentiful. The seating was comfortable and the style of table/grill was unique. My only small complaint would be Hobak needs a stronger ventilation system, as the restaurant was pretty much filled with smoke the entire time. More importantly, the food was fantastic. The aged ribs are definitely one of the top items on the menu. The prices were fair and the portions reflected appropriately. I'll definitely return in the future.

We've been coming here on and off for the better part of ten years. The quality of the meats and the seasoning is awesome. There are plenty of side dishes that come with your selection of meats as well and those are great too. That is has never been a question. You're gonna get top notch food. But there are some issues. For example, you really can't cook the food yourself. There is a grill at the table, but the servers almost get offended if you try to cut or do any work by yourself it seems. That isn't a huge deal, but sometimes I like to do things for myself. And because it's kinda a small place and there are tons of stoves making heat, it gets hot as hell in here during summer months. Also, this is not AYCE, it is a la carte mostly, and as such, the price can get up there. At LEAST $50 per person I would say. Lastly, they add a "4% service fee" if you pay by credit card here. I didn't see it posted anywhere, and it was not told to me when I gave the server my card. It's becoming more common of late for places to add fees when paying by card to offset the card companies charging the restaurant, but it's usually 3%, and they usually have it posted. Also, they even added 1% more as an added cash grab. This is why I took a star off. Terrible business practice and I will never return here because of it.

Hobak is fantastic! We arrived while it was packed but we got seated in 5 minutes. The energy in the place is hectic and loud. The staff seemed a tad stressed because it was so busy, but they never let us down. They do all the cooking so that is a plus. They give you a ton of sides. I personally loved the fish, the salad, and the egg. We ordered the beef menu and it came with brisket, short rib, and bulgogi. I loved the short rib and the bulgogi might be one of the best I've ever had. They use charcoal on their burners and it does add a wonderful flavor. Also, they mix in mushrooms and onion on the grill with the bulgogi and that tasted terrific. The ice cream sandwich at the end was the star of the night for sure. It was oreo cookie ice cream in a tempura sandwich and I think it had red bean paste as glue. It was awesome. I thought the price was a little high but I would go back. The food was great and overall it was a fun new place for us.
