Review The Peppermill Restaurant & Fireside Lounge - Las Vegas

Joshua Hedgecock
We visited for a late lunch on a Saturday. Was a little busy maybe a 20 min wait for 2 people. The food though was very good!! Had the Maserati Omelet and Peppermill Burger as well as tried an awesome fresh blueberry Muffin. Service was fairly quick and the atmosphere is cozy. Would definitely try again if it wasn't so far from us.

We went to the restaurant back in August when we were in town for the APA world championship. While somethings were a little pricey it was worth it! The food was great, the staff was friendly, and also served us well Somethings came out a little faster and others came out slow, but we had a larger group (about 10 of us). I also liked that they took your picture! You get 1 complementary photo and any additional ones you need to pay for it.

I have waited for a special occasion to go here and it was worth the wait! The decor in this place is beautiful! There are sweeping bonzai trees, mirrored ceilings and lots of pretty colored lighting. There was no wait, our food came out fresh, hot, and fast! Everything we tried was delicious and the portions are huge and worth the price! I had the California burger & fries, pesto burger & onion rings, Cobb salad, and strawberry shortcake and carrot cake for dessert. It was all great! Our server, Samantha, was so sweet. She was attentive, quick, and made some excellent recommendations. Samantha definitely made our Christmas Eve dinner very enjoyable. I will definitely be back and visit the Fireside Lounge area in the back next time! Highly recommend!

Old school Vegas vibes, pricing is right, the food and service were outstanding! We couldn’t have picked a better place to stop for lunch. We had a party of 7 and were taken right in with no reservation. We happened to be there during happy hour, the drinks and food were extra cheap because of the happy hour! Highly recommend stopping in this place, it is different than any other restaurant on the strip.

Funky interior that hasn’t changed in 50 years except the carpet. Super friendly service. The food was really good, with big portions and a lot of choices like all day breakfast.

A little dated but that's part of the charm! We went on a Saturday at midnight after a huge event had just let out. We were grateful to find good food and only waited 20 minutes. The server was very attentive and the food was great! Portions are huge; two of us shared a sandwich with fries and an order of mozarella sticks and couldn't finish it all... If you want something late this is the spot!

I have always loved coming here to dine. The Las Vegas vibe is strong here with its unique decor and lighting, especially in the lounge area that is too unique to describe. You gotta check it out for yourself. I always have a great meal here, which has always been breakfast. This morning I had the Joe's San Francisco Special, which is traditional classic scrambled eggs with spinach, onions, ground sausage and beef, seasoned and served on crispy hash browns and topped with golden cheese sauce. I had the blueberry muffin along side. I fell in love their blueberry muffin, so I ordered two more to go. The entire breakfast, as always, was excellent. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is spot on. My server was exceptionally friendly and was a pleasure to talk with. When in Las Vegas, I truly believe that Peppermill should not be missed.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this establishment. The quality of the food was exceptional, with generous portions that left me satisfied. The pricing was reasonable, considering the value received. The service provided was commendable, ensuring a pleasant overall experience. I am definitely looking forward to returning for another meal. In particular, the Turkey burger and Margherita omelet were incredibly delicious, making my taste buds tingle with delight. I highly recommend this place to others seeking a delightful culinary adventure.

The Peppermill is my new favorite Las Vegas restaurant. At the far end, near Circus Circus in a strip mall. It is unassuming outside but once inside the vibes are exploding. Old-school leather booths, enormous cherry blossoms from floor through ceiling. The most exhaustive and fun cocktail menu ever. Great hosts and the food is generous and to die for. The pastrami was perfect and everyone in our party of 7 loved everything. Wheelchair accessible throughout and the staff was so gracious they called a taxi for us upon departure. Will recommend to everyone, best restaurant in Vegas.

If you are hungry this place is for you! They are not shy when it comes to portions. The plates are HUGE! We like to eat everything but this time we had to leave half the plates because it was impossible to finish it. The service was nice and friendly. Complimentary photo from the house photographer. Prices are good. Food was delicious 🤤

Food and service was great. Here from Chicago and I can honestly say the food is delicious!

Visited on a Saturday morning at 5 am in May of 2019 and that's the best part of being a 24 hour open restaurant! We were 5 of us searching for food after a long night in Vegas. We were seated quickly into this mirror filled kaleidoscopic restaurant. Interiors are really pretty to say the least. It's a diner and their portions are huge! Be careful when you place an order for a group. I'd recommend it for diner style food at any hour of the day while you're in Las Vegas.

Must Try:
Peppermill Omelet
Peppermill Pancake Combo

Loved the unique and kitsch decor along with the friendly staff.
Food selection is varied and you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner dishes 24h/day which is awesome!
We had the Peppermill sampler and the Calamari. They were both really good, but in the end we kind of regreted asking only fried stuff.Definitely worth a visit.

My mom and I came here for dinner last week. The service was good and the food portions were huge. The atmosphere is like an old school diner with neon lights and 80’s music. I tried the chicken fettuccine and it was a huge portion, not much flavour. My mom had their omelette and toast, which she loved. This place has something for everybody.

Went to Vegas for work. A high school friend picked me up and took me to the Peppermill. Large dinner menu with dinner decor. Had the roast beef sandwich and a Caesar salad. The meal and place was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary for a dinner. Dinner menu. Not overly thrilled about this dinner. But it was ok if you like dinners.

I visited this place to have my breakfast. Their staff found me a table in less than a minute even though the restaurant was already filled with a lot of people. I ordered waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. The waffles were really good and I enjoyed it. They do have vegetarian options. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant. Their waitress was polite and her service was nice. They are open 24hrs which makes it a perfect spot. The pricing wasn't expensive. This is definitely a place to drop by when you're in Vegas.
Stu
This is quite possibly the best diner food on the planet. The ambience is very 80’s Vegas but it’s clean. The menu is simply diner food. It’s a pretty large menu but every meal I’ve had has been exactly what I needed, especially after a night out in Vegas.

Probably going to get hung from the rafters for this one: what is the big deal? We ordered a late selection from the menu and found them all lacking. The chicken wings were pasty and doughy. New York strip was very tough and the fat unrendered, came with a cheesy uncomplex pasta. Nachos with refried beans was mushy and over salted, also not what refried beans should look or taste like. Creme brûlée was nice but oh so sugary. Waitress was very nice and attentive though.

Introduced this place by a guy in the same group when visiting Grand Canyon, he speaks highly of this place.

out of curiosity I went there the next day, the place is pack but yet the waitress are efficient, so service is quite fast, and place is clean.

order the chicken finger and san fransisco special, the portion is huge! the taste is also good. will definitely return to this place when coming back to Las Vegas.

visited in March 2016

I really do wish I could give this place a better review because I had really high hopes. We went for supper and tried a good variety of menu items amongst the table. We were very disappointed with the shrimp cocktail and burgers. The other two dishes that we didn't order seemed better but I can't say for sure. I do want to come back and try their breakfast and hopefully I can alter my review a bit after that. The highlight was our wonderful server, the drinks and the atmosphere. It was worth checking out and hopefully next time we enjoy what we order.
Different ambience with blue and pink lighting.
Lots of seating specs with open kitchen.

Ordered drinks, which came fast . For main course had their baja burger, omelette, wraps. Omelette was the best.
Didnot like the baja burger . The accompanied onion rings were also not good.
This is by far my favorite restaurant for breakfast in Las Vegas.

I cant count how many times I've come stumbling in here whether its been sun up, sun down, middle of the night, etc. Joe's San Francisco special and the crab cake benedict are my favorites. I'm a fan of diner type foods and the food has that exact feel with a Vegas party atmosphere inside the restaurant. The prices are very fair also...great food at low price is always a good thing.

There's also the cocktails and beers if you're looking to have a drink with your meal. Nothing beats an ice cold beer along side the Joe's San Francisco special.

Visit date 4/5/2014 - and previous visits

The food is typical American and fueled with sugar and all the other toxins Australians are used to. That being said that's exactly how you want to eat lol when in Vegas.

Oh did I mention the incredible fire place ??
Roni
This is one of my most favourite restaurants and always visit at least once when I come to Vegas. I have pretty much been through the menu and had the Conquest sandwich today - everything is great - one of our party fancied some fruit - it is huge!
Maurice
My beautiful one and I decided to go to the Peppermill. Gentleman the first thing she said was the combination of the water and the the fire was soothing. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizers. It was a late night for locals, wonderful ambience to take your date and the food is great. This is the place that is all I have to say.
Joseph Dileo
Very cool and interesting ambiance. Almost reasonable prices. Go for the breakfast. The hamburgers aren't very high quality. It looks just like the Pepper Mill in Reno certainly brought back some memories. This place really has some unique charm.
Rachel Haywire
I love this restaurant I take my family and fiends here every chance I get. I always get the special Combination bowl and spring rolls. Not an expensive place.. Best mango sluche boba in town..
The Shag In Fayetteville
Old school Vegas. Big portions. Solid food. Breakfast is standard stuff but well done. I think everyone that goes to Vegas should eat at the Peppermill once. It's like a rite of passage. It's like the most Vegas diner you'll ever see.
Anthony Jones-DeBerry
My girlfriend and I were in Vegas and wanted to try something new. Even though I've been to Vegas hundreds of times and this restaurant has been here since the 70's I've never been here. Well, I can say, it was an experience.
We first went to the lounge for a drink as there was about a 20 min wait. The Lounge has a very different look than the restaurant. It looks like a strip club with its dark lighting and neon lights. The drinks we got there were reasonably priced but the peach bellini drink I got was WAY too sweet.
Once we got to our table I ordered a mimosa which was HUGE! It was probably the best value out of everything we ordered. Very good. Of course the size of the mimosa was also a preview of how ridiculously huge the portions are. My GF ordered the ham steak breakfast and I ordered the SF scramble. The ham was too salty for my liking but it did have a very good char flavor. The cheese on the SF scramble tasted a lot like velveeta which was disappointing. It would have been far better if it was made with real cheddar. Even though the pancake was about as big as your typical frying pan, it actually had a good, fluffy texture and flavor.
I'm not a huge fan of places that have gigantic portions as I feel the quality is usually lacking. Peppermill does a better job than most in this area but I would still say this restaurant is a lot better if you have had a long night the night before. Fully sober, there are much better culinary experiences in Vegas for breakfast.
Mountain Man
PHILLY CHEESE STEAK! Enough said.

It was a huge portion and I still wanted more. Great service and the crust on the mud pie dessert was to die for.

How I never went to the place over all the years, is beyond me.

Go to the Peppermill!
S Bronson
I call this place the disco rainforest as that is the only way I can attempt to describe the decor. Food is excellent and I usually get the eggs Benedict. It is a must to check out when in Vegas!

Really cool place! First time in vegas and came here after I read about it on some websites. They food was great, and I was so full I couldn't even finish half of my meal! We came late for the 9-11 happy hour which had great prices! Service was a little weird, one girl for drinks.. Who took a while to come around. And one for food.. She was better but still not the service I expected. It wasn't awful so I can't complain. But the place was so neat! I wish we had sat in the fireside lounge.
Ontheroadeats
Peppermill - the Cool Denny's. Think of Denny’s or your local coffee shop/diner kicked up 100% with hearty dishes and oversized portions and you get the Peppermill..... When they say oversized portions they mean it. Want a salad for an appetizer? Order it for the table. Caprese salad, yep... enough for minimum 2 people and with these prices it’s a wonder they are still in business! That’s a great thing for us as customers! Read my FULL review at TheFastReview.com!

The Peppermill restaurant is a true Las Vegas landmark. The neon is tacky, the decor follows suit. Portions are large and service is quick. We loved the rainbow sugar crystals on the table for coffee. While the portions were large, we felt the food was average. The

Wish I would've gone sooner. Been in Vegas for a few days staying at the Riveria for their swan song. Been going way down the strip to eat. Here closer is better. Awesome place!!!

Quirky decor, popular spot and big portions. Average food at fair prices.

Head covering policy. I am a veteran and am currently going thru chemotherapy for breast cancer. On the 17th of nov, after a 5 hour chemo treatment my husband and I went to the peppermill on Las Vegas blvd for something to eat. After dinner we went to the lounge to play some poker and relax. When a bartender finally showed up, I wAs told I had to remove my hat, (it was covering my bald head), or I could not stay. I showed them my bald head 3 times to 2 different employees. They said they had a no head covering policy, no exceptions. Not only is this unheard of, but also cruel. I will never step foot in this establishment again. I am appalled at this kind of treatment and so should everyone.

Vegas Jackpot. We came into the Peppermill for breakfast after it was recommended to us by friends. It definitely didn't disappoint. If you are an Eggs Benedict person, they are some of the best I have had. Good coffee, great food, and fantastic service.

Desserts. When my sister visits we like to meet here for dessert. Huge portions and everything is absolutely delicious.

Food was decent. Huge portions!
Marlin1014
No headscarves allowed?. We planned a dinner for 8 here and when we arrived, we could not go into the lounge. No headscarves allowed...even for medical reasons! Why?
We took our party to Johnny Rockets, great place.

Reasonable Prices huge portions and spectacular flavored. This restaurant is really a hidden gem
Talk in at four in the north end of the strip one might think of skipping it because of the Location
But
We read some reviews online after a very long walk from the other end of the strip
And decided to try it
The ambience is delightful with low lighting from cute lamps and delightful circular booths but the food is the star at this place
Warm friendly service without the Cutsey stuff we found at other venues
The
food was cooked exactly as it was ordered was plentiful and absolutely delicious
If we come back here we will definitely be back regardless of where we stay

Went for my hubby's bday the food was good and fulfilling. The service was pleasant. Everyone was so nice. The food will fill you up. We had the bruschetta and boneless wings. Then Mediterranean omelet and peppermill combo with turkey sausage. Oh let's not forget the SCORPION

Best Breakfast In Town!. Oh my goodness - if you do one thing in Vegas, go here for breakfast. It's a little out of the way, but SO worth the trek. The breakfast was huge, and so delicious. There was quite a wait when we got there, but you can go and sit in their fireside lounge (worth seeing!) and order your coffee, the you take it into the restaurant for free refills!! American diner-style, booth seating, waitresses in gorgeous little outfits!

This was just simply the best!

Usually filled with belligerent drunks after 8pm. The food portions are large, but very poor quality ingredients & severely lacking in taste. Meat and produce taste like they were purchased through Walmart. Yes, it's that bad. Service sucks when it's busy as well. It's hard to get a server who checks on you, refills drinks, or returns to the table with things like ketchup, butter, ect. I live in Vegas and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. And it's obscenely overpriced considering the poor service and poor quality of food. Not even the pie is good!
AndreaL
A for atmpsphere. Incredible atmosphere. Food is what you expect- large portions, diner food. Don't expect a gourmet meal but expect diner food. I'd definitely eat here again.
Jamie R.
I want to like it, really I do. The decir is fun, the portions HUGE, but the service is terrible. Slow as all get out. Not ideal for a family with two small kids.

Jethro-sized Portions, Excellent Service, Pretty Good Food. Ten egg omelets, a one pound side of corned beef hash, five-inch sausages, plate-sized pancakes, gigantic serving bowl salads, and other ginormous servings are the trademark dishes of this 1970s era diner called Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. Bathed in a purple neon reflecting off the mirrored ceiling, and sconced with throw-back crushed velvet, half-moon seating booths, is the venerable Peppermill. The hay-day old haunt from the old days of polyester and excess of all forms, the Peppermill still has swagger in this town. Everyone still loves to experience a step back in time, and its' old school menu that matches. The food isn't bad at all, and the gracious service is better than most places in Las Vegas. Poached or braised eggs are all the rage here. The pancakes are worth a try, the hash is adequate and like everything else, too much for even me to finish. Nonetheless, you must try it to believe it. A favorite of Penn from that Mutt and Jeff magic duo, this place has its own mystical charm, and will be sure to fill you up. More importantly, if the Peppermill is worthy a visit by the DiNiro character in "Goodfellas" than it is definitely good enough for me!
Natalie Portmenteau
Yes, huge portions.... Dined here twice while in Vegas. The first time - Sunday brunch - there was a lengthy wait for a table although that's not so bad, you get to sit in the nifty cocktail lounge accompanying. The second time - a Monday night - there was no problem getting a table.

The portion servings are huge, in some cases, ridiculously so. I got what I thought would be a standard cobb salad and when it came out I thought it would dislodge the ceiling, such was its size. The waiter even remarked it was something "that could feed a family of four". The food itself was fine enough, not outstanding, and I think you go to the Peppermill for the vibe and ambience, not an outstanding culinary experience.

HUGE Portions, but Don't Forget to Ask for Less Oil!. My husband and I ate here for breakfast, and we were blown away by the HUGE portions! My husband ordered the Peppermill Pancake Combo, and I ordered the Garden Omelet made with egg whites. The food was decent, except my husband's bacon was still quite raw (not crispy at all), his eggs (sunny side up) were undercooked and swimming in oil, and my egg white omelet was coated in and swimming in oil! Next time I go (and I would go again), I would be more specific with my order (crispy bacon, well done eggs, low oil with the omelet, and dry toast), but the food was great otherwise! Such a cute atmosphere, and really reasonably priced!

Best Place I Ate in Vegas.... Loved this place! We went for breakfast on our last day. If it had been my first day, I would have gone back again (& again). The atmosphere is so old school Vegas with Tiffany lights and blue velour booths. The food is plentiful and quite good. I got the French Toast Ambrosia topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. So good, especially when I added the boysenberry syrup. Try it!
Tvhtml
Blast from the past. Had eggs benedict here one morning. Very large portion -- 3 eggs, sizeable portion of hash browns on the side. Eggs poached nicely, but the hollandaise sauce was lacking. Service was good. The atmosphere of the place is totally off-the-charts but cozy. Lit in pink and blue '70s disco hues, the seating areas are built around several fake trees that section off the dining room. A local website says that scenes from "Casino" and "CSI" were filmed here.
Tricia Lynn Watts
Yes. This is where you want to go for breakfast.
Kaleigh
Portions are huge! Atmosphere is funky & reminiscent of a strip club mixed with a diner with its funky colors & waitresses in short dresses. 24hr menu so options are diverse. Service was personable & timely.
Kim H
I like breakfast here better than dinner
Teach394
One of the reasons that we keep going back is the burgers! They are always prepared as ordered and taste wonderful !!
Purplemonkeydishwasher
Just OK. The Peppermill is just ok. The menu is and the pricing isnt anything spectacular. In my opinion there are so many better places to dine that are in or around the same price range as the Peppermill. We travel to Vegas often, and to be honest, this restaurants menu was very mediocre. Probably wouldnt go back.
The Food Avenger
Retro, without trying to be. Found this one on Urbanspoon with high ratings. Two cabbies recommended. They were RIGHT!
Had to wait 20 minutes to get in, place was packed. Once seated service was great. Waitresses cute & efficient.
I ordered steak & eggs, my steak was overcooked. Was cheerfully brought another one...perfect. Portions large, price reasonable, and you get that feeling you're in that diner from "Pulp Fiction" with Ringo & Honey bunny.
We all enjoyed our meals, and will return. We were also told their lounge is a great place for a cocktail.

Food..........B
Service.......B+
Ambience...A-
Value...........B+

Fun atmosphere. Fine service. Large portions. But typical diner taste.

One of my favourite spots in Vegas!!! The food and drinks are a great value. The decor and vibe are great!! And how can you not love the fireside lounge? I think this place is a must see when you come to Vegas.
Joshywa
Very large portions for very normal prices, very cheap for Vegas! Food was great as well. We had the French Toast Ambrosia and it was enough for two to be filled!
Trans Am Razz
Perfect!!. This place is open 24 hrs. Large portions of food, excellent service, clean restaurant. The food was delicious, loved the mushrooms!
Erich Dalke
Great Food!!! Just expect a 70's jungle theme with fake cherry blossom trees and mirrored walls!!!
Ken
Great Atmosphere. From the hot pants on the waitresses to the pink flamingo lamp shades, this restaurant is pure Vegas. My wife and I love to split the Lorraine Omelette after a night on the town. This place is always packed on the weekends and is one of the best 24 hour restaurants anywhere. You never know what celebrity may walk through the door.
Alix Keaton
Nachos are awesome. Huge portions. Great staff.
Gooksoo
Not bad. Been here twice within a 1-2 years span. first time was great. the price was average and the portions were big. the food here is like an upscale denny's. The second time around, went back with a group. the prices went up and the portions got smaller, same tasting food. have not gone back since. worth a try. hopefully it has gotten better but do not see myself going back anytime soon
Ashley
The peppermill is pretty good, i think they charge a little much because its a well known restaurant in vegas everyone goes here, its a cool time and their pastrami sandwiches are addicting there was a point in my life when i would go here 3-4 times a week for their sandwiches and delicious honey mustard :) the vibe is super chill and they have a fire pit in the back with cool drinks (too expensive) and their margaritas suck. but the food is good :)
Paul
Good Deal. This is a nice place to have breakfast - any time of the day. Prices are not cheap for breakfast - most are $11+. However the portions are big enough that you can split it with another person (unless you're both very hungry). If you split a meal, then your costs are more reasonable.

Enjoyed the eggs benedict, and it was a decent meal for my wife and I. We added on an OJ and a side of English muffin. The juice was good, very large (seems like double what you'd get as a glass at Denny's), and pricey (almost $5).

The decor is funky, but not as much as some would lead you to believe. Service was prompt and friendly, and the environment was clean. The neighborhood is where the strip begins to get a little seedier, but this was definitely a place I'd come back to.
MelissaS
Okay...kind of expensive. Ok so yes the portions are huge, the wait for food is way way too long especially if you tied a few on the night before. The food is average; the whole mystic of the restaurant is the pretty pink neon shine and the fake trees. The food is not cheap yes it's a greasy spoon but not a cheap one please don't make that thinking error and I think their hash browns are not very good!
Nonskim
Fireball, Pink Neon and Comfortable Seating. Introducting the best drink on the strip - The Scorpion. Lean back and enjoy this fruity concoction through the lengthy (my guess is 24 inch) straw. The enjoyment goes on for a long time because this drink is huge.

The fireball seem a little brighter by the time you pay your bill and walk out the door.
Larry H
This Place is Awesome!. My wife and I were so impressed with the Peppermill that we ate there several times during our week in Vegas. The food portions are almost laughable they are so big (if you don't believe me, try the nacho platter!), the help is nice, the place is spotlessly clean, very fair price.

The location is very handy. Right on the strip just about 2 blocks from Wynn.

When I come back to Vegas, this place will be the first place I visit!
FoodJunkie
Awesome vegas diner. I went here by myself for breakfast one morning - having traveled to vegas to stay for a couple of days. it's a bit out of the way and i had to get a taxi there.

but boy was it worth it. friendly, attentive staff. quick service. great atmosphere (lots of neon fitting with the vegas theme) and excellent food with ridiculously large servings.

i loved it and would go there again next time i head to vegas.

check it out.
Hungry Guy
Loved it!. It's old school diner with neon lights and a colour scheme that also takes you back. The vibe is fun and so are the staff. Even staff that weren't serving us chatted with us and were very friendly. As far as diner food goes, it was a bit over priced but not by much and it was good. I loved their onion rings and you could tell they were freshly made. Go check it out for an experience of Vegas from back in the day.
WatchMeEatU
HUGE servings. Warning for those on diet..

Order 1 for 2 ppl.. The serving size is huge! :)
Food tastes great.. and the service is excellent..

My Go To Place in Vegas. As soon as I get my rental car I hit the strip to the Peppermill for breakfast; even mid-day. Wish we hadone in Northern Va.
J
This has been my favorite place to eat so far in Vegas! Southern style portions that arrive hot and fast to your table. Worth every penny. A must see for any foodie!
The Captain
Great food in obscene portions for low prices. Not a bad way to start a review. The decor is really cool retro, and pretty much every table is a booth. The place was packed when we went, but worth the wait.
Junebug
Best ever for your dollar. The peppermill is the best place for breakfast lovers!! handsdown! for 11.99 u get like a 10 egg denver omlette with cheese and great hashbrowns. its the first breakfast plate i ever had leftover on! the plates are huge and no lack of quality in the food. my server was so nice and fast i had to tell her manager. it is pretty busy so you'll have to wait but boy its worth every minute. its right on the strip so if u can walk off all the food when your done. i love you peppermill!!!

We travel to Vegas yearly from Brampton Ontario Canada. Never miss a meal of two at this wonderful nostalgic restaurant. The portions are so big I can rarely finish a meal.

A must see when visiting Vegas! Huge portions and very fun, campy Vegas atmosphere! Great food!

Classic Diner. Love the fire pool in the lounge. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beverages. Restaurant was dated but the food was very good. Full menu in a diner style setting. Service was prompt and friendly. Very reasonably priced. Very busy.
Ed
Eaten here every te we visit and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. Portions are big and food is excellent!

Old School Vegas Charm. Away from the 24 hour buzz of the modern casinos and entertainment parks that occupy the strip you will find the Peppermill Cafe...a little taste of old school Las Vegas and a testament to non-Casino driven/operated culinary goodness. The place is a landmark and an excellent venue to escape the theme-parkesque entertainment complex and enjoy a quality meal with a little 1960's charm. Well reccomended to any Vegas visitor as a means of escapism and solid, quiet and enjoyable dining. Well recommended.

Excellent atmospere in old Vegas. Great food. Clean on the interior. DO NOT let the exterior fool you.

If your looking for big portions, good food and a unique Vegas experience, you have to visit Peppermill. There is a reason this restaurant has been here for 38 years!

From Lonoke Arkansas. Everytime we go to Las Vegas, our most fav place to eat, or to congregate, would be the Lounge in the Peppermill Cafe. It would not be Vegas without it. Fantastic food, (huge platefulls), great drinks, and talk about atmosphere..... This is it!
Freebird
Like a Magic Time Machine. A real time capsule open to the public as a super cool lounge. The Peppermill is one of the last standing old school classic establishments left. The hostesses and waitresses wear formal gowns.
The bar is a fun place. If you've ever seen the movie Casino, then you have seen the fire pit inside the bar, Sharon Stone is sitting next to it. The restaurant is a nostalgic blast from the past, the food is great and service can't be beat. Rather you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or diner, it's all good. All the drinks are great, be sure to try the Scorpion drink; it's worth the money. Also, I've never had a better Bloody Mary.
If you have a sweet tooth at 4am in the morning you will not find a better Colossal Sundae or Banana Split anywhere.
Ken Goldstein
Step Into Lounge Heaven. A great lounge for drinks, with a pretty good restaurant that can best be described as High-Class Denny's.
Scott Davis
Flashback 1970. This place has seen some History. It's like taking a trip back in time here in Las Vegas, neon lights, purple plush, flamingos and flower prints.

The diner is pretty small with intimate seating and the lounge is out of this world with the fire pit off the bar. Very cool atmosphere.

Service was a little slow-I mean they came out for drinks from the bar immediately but it was another 15 minutes before anyone stopped back by since we're NOT drinkers.

We ordered sandwiches and an appetizer since we were extremely hungry & didn't wanna wait long for them to re-invent something in the kitchen. I ordered the Gyro plate, the wife had Hot Pastrami n Rye and the boy wanted macaroni & cheese with Fruit!!

The food came out quickly, the appetizer was not what I expected but was good nonetheless.(could've used more bread & cherry tomatoes)

The Pastrami & potato Salad A+-Huge portion, great pastrami and fresh & tasty potato salad.

The gyros were great but the pita was a little dry. The Onion Rings were good but straight out of the freezer NOT handmade.

The macaroni & cheese was good, the fruit was fresh.

OVERALL: Good Food,OK service and Great Atmosphere. A little pricy($50 for 3 people sandwiches) Nothing gourmet but solid.

Essential Vegas. My car just about knows the way to the Peppermill on its own by now. It's the one place that I absolutely MUST go to every time I'm in Las Vegas. Simply put, the Peppermill is an old-school Vegas coffee shop done right. Decent food, generous portions, classic atmosphere, can't ask much more than that! Great coffee, and the Fireside Lounge is not to be missed.

A Vegas Icon, go for the experience and the food will surprise you and a visit to the lounge for a Bloody Mary is a Must!!!

Boooo so this place has been around awhile you would think that means good food but no. I had a ceaser wrap chicken was hard it was so dry and my aunt had a French dip that she didn't finish and gave two thumbs down

I agree w/ Vegas Musings. You have to come here at least once, it's like a Vegas institution with the neon lights and servers in shiny tights. The fireside lounge is fun and still has good bloody mary's... but the cafe itself is overpriced, even though the portions are big. The food isn't very good, so now you're just paying for A LOT of bad food...

Best Breakfast on the Strip!. Awesome omelettes! The decor is somewhat annoying, however.

Not bad. While the food was alright when my wife and I went..... It did seem a bit over-rated. I can not say that we had a negative experience but I do not see us going back.

I’ve finally found another breakfast restaurant in Las Vegas that I like just as much as Hash House A Go Go. It only took me 4.5 years! I do not know why it took me so long to discover this place, because apparently it’s been around forever and I have definitely drive past it a dozen times. It’s Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge found along the strip between the Encore and Riviera hotels, caddie corner from Circus Circus. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable and so colorful. Even the sugar was colorful, as you can see in the photo. How cute is that?

Great value for money here! Most breakfast options were under $15 and they were pretty decent and super filling. The ambiance was...a little interesting, but the service was really quick. Definitely try the muffins here - they're fantastic!

We both left extremely satisfied with full bellies and a love for the Peppermill. It's nice to see some of the Vegas classics still doing a great business.

“MASERATI OMELET: A superb omelet bursting with sausage, Jack and Cheddar cheeses and mushrooms, smothered in a perfect Italian meat sauce, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese Huge omelets served with hash browns, your choice of toast or English muffin, piping hot blueberry or bran muffin, or toasted bagel with cream cheese.” I suggest the blueberry or bran muffin and substitute with egg whites.

Peppermill Restaurant is amazing and it’s such a unique place. One section of the restaurant is a lounge, called the Fireside lounge. Inside is a bar and seating area for drinks and food. In the middle sits a fire pool where guests can gather and sit around. Neon lights are everywhere. On the main dining area side, you have a typical diner that is flashy and designed to the maximum. The neon lights are a bit toned down and the natural light is able to come in. Waitresses in a skirts a little too short come around in diner style uniforms. The whole experience was quite special. As we were waiting for our table, we decided to hang out at the Fireside Lounge. Sitting in front of a fire and bubbling pool of water, we enjoyed a nice cup of hot cocoa. Not only was it relaxing, but the neon lights and fire water craziness was kind of trippy. With lights and mirrors everywhere, you get a bit lost in this place. Not only is the diner aesthetically spectacular, but the food is great too. The one

The Peppermill is a Las Vegas institution; a breakfast place on the old strip where places like the Desert Inn and the Riviera once stood in prominence. So when my parents, who happened to be in Vegas at the same time, asked where to meet for breakfast, I said the Peppermill! Besides, I needed an excuse to get this landmark into my blog. When you picture a morning after, 24 hour diner in Vegas, you are picturing the Peppermill. There is the big neon sign straight out of the 70s out front. Walking in, you have the restaurant to your right with the old school counter, dark overstuffed booths, neon track lighting, and random trees all over the place. Straight ahead of you and slightly to the left is an old school, shag-carpeted throwback lounge; one that you absolutely picture the old powers of Vegas spending time in winding down after a long day at the casino. The place is inevitably packed, though fairly quiet; playing host to those that haven't gone to bed, those wondering why they eve

the whole peppermill/fireside lounge experience is worth the overpriced drinks. the mood is 100% big pimpin' and sitting there for just a bit will give you a crazy urge to break out a small mirror and snort some coke. it has great kitschy ambience with th

The Peppermill Lounge is an old Vegas diner full of 70s style with kitsch piled up to the rafters. It's a great place to stop if you have gambled away all your money at the casino. It is also a great spot for movie fans because cinematic favorites like Casino and The Cotton Club were filmed at the Peppermill Lounge, as was the Rotten Tomatoes bedrock Showgirls . The menu focuses on plus-sized diner fare at reasonable prices. Food can be enjoyed in the dining room or in the Fireside Lounge, a neon-lit bar area with fireplaces. The experience at the Peppermill Lounge would not be complete without being enjoyed without a cocktail. The Scorpion is the signature drink of Peppermill. It is a 64-ounce drink consists of cherry brandy, rum, orange juice, grenadine and vanilla ice cream blended into creamy, frothy perfection. It is meant to be shared or consumed by one thirsty individual. There is a limited vegetarian menu at Peppermill. There are omeletes and breakfast sweets, a Caprese san

I hadn't been to the Peppermill in YEARS, until a few days ago. I remember coming here with my family when I was younger for breakfast. And I remember it being cheap, and the food being really good. I guess I should have left it just a memory! Unfortunate
