Review Hash House A Go Go - Las Vegas

Christopher Frometa
First things first, if you are coming to Hash House, come HUNGRY. The portions are absolutely massive. The staff was incredible and super friendly. We ordered the avocado toast as well as the breakfast sandwich. Both were so so good. Definitely kept us filled for a few hours, a must go to for breakfast/lunch.

First time in Vegas and picked this Breakfast joint based on reviews. Friendly Staff, Great Food and nice atmosphere. Ordered 3 Scrambled eggs with fried potatoes and a flapjack. It was big. Hard time finishing it. Also ordered Crepe with fruits. Blueberry Flapjack and Waffle with Hash browns.

Wow is this place unbelievable! So good and portions large enough to feed a family of four! We had a large party of 8 and that sat us promptly in the back at the big boy table!! Plenty of cocktails to choose from and most of them you get to keep the glass! We ordered the chicken and waffles and it was huge! 2 chicken breast crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Waffles were stuffed with bacon and so good!! Service was fast and friendly !

The atmosphere was so relaxing . Our waited r was amazing and the food was delicious. I think most meals are shareable which he offered. I highly recommend this restaurant. I was a little worried about the sage on chicken but to my surprise it was good

The food was delicious. I recommend the Brown Sugar Banana Flip Jacks or the Blueberry Lemon Flip Jack. Both were delicious. Just be prepared to eat a massive pancake. The eggs were made so so, a little cold, the turkey sausage was decent. The Caramel All Over Mocha was nothing special. The Banana Latte was much better, and better sized.

The BEST brunch I've had in years!!! Those chicken and waffles....my God. So damn good. That food touched my soul. They even let you have your coffee mug or alcoholic beverage glass as a souvenir. Definitely would eat here again. Amazing experience.
Randy Shoemaker
Amazing food as always. They stepped up the service and atmosphere. Highly recommend eating “off” strip as there is less wait and better service.
Litzy
The food was great the Bloody Mary was 👌 🆗️. I had better for a better price. We did get to keep the glass. I guess that's why they charge that much, the side order of bacon was great. The chicken with the waffles was very good but it was big we shared it between 3 of us. We order eggs on the side and they where ok. The service for our drinks was very slow it came with the food.

This place is a hidden gem located west of the strip, offering delicious home-style cooking. The gravy is absolutely amazing and pairs perfectly with their chicken and biscuits. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Don't miss out on their fantastic vodka and cranberry mimosas, they're simply excellent!

Have been wanting to try this place on many past trips to Vegas. Finally made it. It lives up to all the hype. Portions are huge. The dishes are creative and full of flavor. Service is quick and attentive. Try it if you haven’t already.

one of the best meals i’ve had here
Shamael Ansari
One of my favourite places - the dishes are absolutely yummy and huge. Would’ve loved to try more but one dish over- filled our stomachs! Must try for first time visitors to Vegas.
Mytmouse
Big big portions, would recommend sharing! We ordered the chicken and waffles and chicken Benedict. Both were delish! Would come back again, prices were reasonable $12-15 but you don't have to eat for the rest of the day.

If you are looking to have one meal to fill you for a whole day just go to Hash House ! HUGE portions !!!! I was not able to finish it, great bloody marys while waiting - you probably have to wait 15-20min to be seats since everyone wants to try it. Loved the experience and the warm welcome from the staff- i would recommend though to make sure the drinks are well served, my gin/soda barely had any gin in it and was served in the wrong glass :)

I think the hype for HHaGG set it up for disappointment in my case. I had the corned beef hash, and while I liked the large shreds of beef, the potatoes were a let down. They may be made in house, but they have the artificial look, feel and taste of frozen food service spud pieces. The biscuit was some kind of frozen thing or else a far Northerner's version of one, made from a photo without every having tasted a real biscuit. Whatever, it's definitely not a Southern biscuit. Not flaky, just doughy and without much flavor. Nice jam with it, but not special. Herself's goat cheese egg scramble was a little better, but not much more than scrambled eggs. Portions are huge and service is good. But high prices and too much hype will cause me to pass this by on the next Vegas trip.
Outstanding food, HUGE portions & great drinks. It would be 5.0 but the tables weren't clean, and the waitress we had was really rude. That being said I can't wait to go back and try the chicken waffles.

Yumm yumm!. I went here with my family and we all absolutely loved it. Would go back any time and highly recommend it.
Michelle
Fun restaurant. Huge portions and great food. Make sure you come with an appetite!

Absolutely Amazing!. I was literally pretending I was doing an episode of Man vs. Food, with my best Adam Richman impersonations.

I ordered the #3 Burger, which was two 8 ounce patties, with mashed potatoes and applewood smoked bacon in between. I threw on some red onion and mayonnaise and it was on!

I chose the mac-n-cheese for the side and was ready to meet my maker upon finishing almost two pounds of food. These are the burgers they pass out at the Pearly Gates, indeed.

If you follow me you know one thing, though. If there is not Sweet-n-Low, then I will not have breakfast, as it is a must for coffee. That being, said, I had to exhibit great restraint to not steal pancakes off the tables next to me.

I will return, with my own Sweet-n-Low and partake of the flapjacks that were roughly the size of a large pizza pan.

I also know they go the link route for sausage, so if you are a fan of patties, you have been warned, although I am sure bacon will suffice, given the greatness of everything else.

There was no wait around 1PM and it was worth the money! Well done Hash House!

Great food. Great find, a local recommended.
huge portions.

We were staying in the Wynn. This place was recommended by urban spoon, so we though we will try it. After a 20 min cab ride for $25 dollars we had a pretty average meal. Then we waited another 45 min for them to get us a cab, so we can pay another $25 to get back. Needless to say we won't be back.
Matt Estes
Below standard diner food. House salad -- lettuce was wilted with 3 tiny tomatoes that were sweet.
Duck had a lot of flavors but competed with each other.
Chicken waffles were cold. Like Waffle house better

Go to Denny's. Save ur money. I had the "famous" chicken & waffles. I was shocked that considering this is a Southern dish, it was served in such a non southern way. The fried green onions on top are for looks. There are four pieces of waffle and two full sized bone in chicken breasts, with one tiny cup of disappointingly fake syrup. For $16.95 they could have given some actual real maple syrup! Instead, it's the Walmart basic fake kind made from corn syrup, food coloring and artificial flavoring. Just like Burger King & Mc Donald's syrup. That being said, the meal is plenty enough for 2-3 people. The waffles were ok until I unfortunately discovered they were laced with crappy, low quality, fake bacon. U know the already cooked kind you can buy from a low-end grocery store that Is already cooked? That's what's in the waffles. If you take the time to feature a waffle dish that has been prepared with bacon inside, please use actual bacon in your craftsmanship. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. This dish easily could be turned around if they used REAL maple syrup and REAL bacon, and organic chicken tenders. Clearly they are cutting costs to increase profit and this in return leaves the consumer dissatisfied. This review, by the way, is being written by a classically trained chef. I wanted this place to be good b/c it was on my UrbanSpoon wishlist, but I was very, very disappointed in the quality. Service was ok, but the food was 3x's larger portion than it needed to be for an individual meal and very, very low in quality. I hope they shrink the entree sizes and increase the ingredients' quality and adjust the prices accordingly. It makes sense to do so

Amazing!. Heard some good reviews from co workers, so when I was visiting Vegas, I had to drop in and check it out for myself. So worth the trip here. Food was amazing. Service was pretty good! One slight negative was my dish was suppose to come with 2 poached eggs, but I only got one. I didn't bother telling them as the rest of the portions on my dish was huge anyways. Would totally come back if I was ever in Vegas again!

Waste of time. Got the Ruben asked for no onion. got them yuck!!
way to much bread, bout 4 oz of meat .
plates are silly huge, with all sorts of dumb garnish.
wont b back ever

Doesn't Get Any Bigger Than This. Is it Beyonce? Is it Justin Timberlake? Is it Oprah Winfrey? Negative. It's the food at Hash House a Go Go! Look at these pictures! This food is grandissimo!!! And to top it off, it's pretty darn delicious. I ordered the chorizo hash and it was marvelous. Fresh and piping hot, I posted it on Facebook and immediately received several requests for the recipe from my friends. I don't blame them for asking at all. In fact, I was wondering myself how it was concocted. It hit the spot, I know that.

My friend ordered the French Toast because he didn't think he would be able to finish off any of the larger portion entrees. As it was the French Toast was the perfect size with a fresh broiled plantain on top. It looked just as good as my entree and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

I can't wait to come back and try this place again. The servers are eclectic and as much fun to talk to as the food is to eat. Enjoyable all around!
Customerx
Insanely overpriced for food that is just ok. No idea why this place has managed to spread to multiple locations.
Chris
Lots of good food!!. First time coming to Hash House and we had to wait about 40 minutes but it was well worth it. The portions were huge and none of us left hungry. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive even though the place was super busy. The sausage gravy had enough meat to make a couple of sandwiches on its own! There are so many different menu items that it'll take us a long time to work thru them all too. All in all a great experience, we'll be back for sure.
Mike V
Wow..what a treat! This is some of the best breakfast food my wife and i have ever enjoyed. Warning: come hungry because the portions are more than ample. I had the salmon benedict, subtle taste but very flavorful. She had the farm scramble with bacon, avocado, onion and swiss. It all sounds basic but beleive me it is far from that! The service was excellent also. The place is pricey however if your one that is willing to pay for a good meal it is worth it.

Breakfast At The Zoo. What a mad house. Went for a late breakfast on a Friday morning and had a 30 minute wait for a table. The place was slammed with customers (always a good sign). The service was great considering how busy they were. Our waitress (Dee) was a gem. The food was a show unto itself. As we watched gigantic meals being served to other tables, we decided we were splitting our breakfast, something I would strongly advise unless your name is Paul Bunyan. We had the Chorizo, Jalapeno Hash breakfast with eggs and a homemade biscuit with homemade strawberry jelly. It was really, really, extremely tasty. Good food, good service, and a $20 check. We will be back the first chance we get.

P.S. I have never understood people who complain about servings that are too large. Split a meal or have your server explain what a go box is. Just because it is in front of you does not mean you have to eat it all.

Creative 2 of 5 dishes cold.... Creative
2 of 5 dishes cold but tasty
Might go back
Michelle
NOT GOOD!. The portion size is too large. I order the french toast and it came with a huge amount of butter, sugar and whole pecans on top. I was not impressed with the presentation. The french toast was burnt and the service was not good. I left this place hungry. This place was recommended to me and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
Laura
UGH. I have been here a couple times before but I gotta say that it looks like they are on a serious downswing. The food was just okay. Veggies were somewhat greasy and lukewarm. It was obvious that most of my dish was plated and then sat around whilst they cooked the protein portion of it. The service was really the worst part. SO slow and inattentive. We never had anyone come over and refill our water, never had the plates from our appetizers removed from the table, and it took the waiter 20 minutes from the time we finished eating to ask us if we wanted the check (even though he walked by our table about 50 times). It wasn't even busy. There were maybe 6 tables and about 15 employees! Not only that but we also ordered drinks which the waiter must have forgotten about because it took about 20 minutes to get those too! All of this combined with the music that was blasting from a busted out speaker. Lovely. This placed used to be the bomb but all the little stuff just made it seem like no one is running the show here.
Michael Erin Purdy
Amazing!. This storied restaurant is worth the commute from your fancy hotels. I mentioned it to family who don't live here and they all knew about it, too. The chicken & waffles was a revolution in flavor with crisp, elegant leeks.
Mark
Long wait on a Friday. Order got mixed up. Eggs cold. No coffee or water refills. Corned beef hash was not up to my expectations. Price and ambiance were good.

Wow. Just wow. Had the tomato, basil and goat cheese scramble with crispy potatoes, a GIGANTiC, perfect buttermilk biscuit, and homemade strawberry jam. This is some of the best food I've had in Las Vegas. My fiancé had the sage fried chicken and its the best fried chicken I've ever tasted! (And I'm from Kentucky.) atmosphere is clean, a little modern, and the staff is very friendly, eclectic and attentive. The menu is diverse and interesting, and the drink list is well priced (and you can keep the twisted glass!) They also have an extensive wine and beer list. TVs in the bar area are perfect for the March Madness crowd. :) Love love love this place. Will be back ASAP!
Matt K.
Big sloppy and gross. Title says it all, just because you get a lot of something doesn't mean it is going to be good. very disappointed.
Eric Reynolds
Food was excellent with huge portions. Steer clear of the ice tea it sucked bad.
Mexihombre
Huge Portions! Great Food!. You will leave with doggie bags. Breakfast gets a lot of hype but the dinners are very good also. Everything we tried here was good.
Kevin Brewer
Fun. While the restauarant was understaffed, they didn't expect the crowds on a sun kissed Saturday morning, once seated service was great and the food interesting. It is a fun place to go for brunch.

Mmmm!!. OMG!!.

We were told we had to go this place and try it out. We were told it was at was at the at the Imperial Palace Hotel in LV. I never go to this Hotel for any reason. Perhaps simply because I have never found the front door but, once I found the restaurant, again OMG! I ordered my personal breakfast appetizer a Bloody Mary but decided on the Hash House Bloody Mary and the Corned Beef Hash. My Mary came first and I wasn’t sure if I was to drink it or make a BLT out of it since it was huge. It came with perfectly cooked bacon, a delicious fresh and thick slice of tomato, fresh and crisp ruffled lettuce and a toasted piece of bread along with other nummy garnishes. I opted to drink it and although I don’t like my Mary’s too hot, the fresh horse radish was delightful!

My Corned Beef Hash was incredibally huge and I wanted to share it with my partner but he ordered something that was so huge that I couldn’t see over his plate to see his face.

We both knew we would spend less time gambling and more time eating here. The next encounter with Hash House was by a very happy accident. We were in downtown LV. It was getting a bit late to find a finer dining experience. We knew a new fine dining restaurant had opened at the Plaza Hotel and checked it out. Lovely and pricey, we decided it was not the mood so decided to check out the other eateries of the Hotel. About to give up and find some mediocre to junk food, two more steps led me to another Hash House!!. I was thrilled to see it was open and basically ran into the store looking to be seated.

The experience there was even more exciting and memorable because of a nearby table of what I will describe as golden agers.
With my stomach now focusing on dinner type menu items, I ordered a Chicken Pot Pie. My partner, something over his face again.
The Waitress brought an order to a neighboring table where all appeared to order a mountainous hamburger. One of the golden agers saw the food, rose and went to their table to ask if what they had ordered was a hamburger. To his surprise, the towering vibation was just that. He had the audacity to ask the customer to cut it in half which he agreed to do. The visiting golden ager then beaconed to his wife to come over with their camera who obediently came over and took a picture.

When we received our order, the same harmless golden ager yelled to me to find out if I had ordered a Flying Saucer. Not only was the food excellent and again, too much to eat, but the experience was unforgettable.

To sum this up, I begged the Waitress to tell the owner he/she needed to open a store in Seattle. Sadly the Waitress thought they would be opening one in Chicago.

Really?!?!?! The Windy City versus lovely rain that makes Washington the Evergreen State? Regardless, we all should have a Hash House a go go nearby! You’ll be there 3 times a day, if not more!
Meg
Food Is ok but this place has 2 huge problems 1) hostess will never sit you before entire party arrives and even when you are 4 people you have to have an actual fight to get a booth ?! Wtf?
2) bathrooms are dirty and disgusting - look like try have never been cleaned!
T. Bell
Good food, but the service was way under par. Go Hungry!
Chris B
Arrived this morning and was seated under a table with a blowing fan. Asked to be moved and the two girls working the front thought that this was a huge request. All we simply wanted to do was move to one of the many other OPEN tables. We waited while other people were seated and after five minutes of waiting we walked out and will never return. If you want attitude from the front of house staff and crappy service please go here!!!
Jorge Arzabala
Great tasting food, excellent presentation, waiters were friendly, huge portions and price was decent. Highly recommended.
The FOOD Dude
Busy busy busy, and the service showed. Okay that's out of the way. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and it's was a pinch of salt short of being FANTASTIC! The waffles with the bacon cooked inside them was super. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. However, the batter on the chicken needed salt. It had no flavor. Put them all together and it (minus no salt) was super!! Another thing before I go. They had the best Bloody Mary's. Perfect spice and flavor. Those did have salt and a deliciouse pickled green bean instead of celery. I did not have it, but they make one with bacon infused vodka. They are kick ass! Will we return, HECK YES; with salt in hand.
I Heart BBQ
Not Bad. Been here couple times over the past 2 years on recommendation from friends. Had the chicken waffle as well as some of the hashes. While the food was decent I didn't get blown away by it like I thought I would based on the reviews. If I had to take a 20min cab ride to get here just to eat I wouldn't be very happy and certainly wouldn't be worth the cab fare - I could get something of comparable quality and price on the strip.

Having said that they do have some interesting menu items (chicken waffle being one of them) and the portions are pretty big - good for a hung-over brunch after a night of partying.

My verdict: if I happen to be in the area I would go eat here, but won't make a trip specifically again.
Veronica Corona
The best fried chicken and waffles !!! Nice wait staff and huge (cheesecake factory ) portions. ***** 5 stars
Cherry
Quesadilla and French Toast are delicious.
Margaret
From out of town looking for American cuisine and this was a hit! Great service, quality ingredients and HUGE portions. Too bad our hotel didn't have a fridge, a lot went to waste. Try splitting an entre. Crab cakes were ideal, chicken and waffles were sweet and savory (though I still personally prefer separate), chicken pot pie was wholesome (really good carrots), bloody Marys were spicy! Next time in Vegas or San Diego I would return.
Lois C Benninghoven-Cook
Delicious food, excellent service & extravagant specials! The French toast was amazing!
LJ
Big plates.. big food.. big yummm!!!!. Anything on this menu is good... period... haven't been to the new downtown location yet... but will soon... !!!
Chance Hammer
Jurassic Park!!. We went to the original location, but if you are staying on the strip I would suggest going to the location at Imperial Palace (to avoid a 25 minute cab ride). Man versus Food locations always have their appeal and going to the original location adds an air of authenticity. The menu is fun and the food is truly a visual marvel. The chicken waffles are mammoth in size and good in flavor.
AbnPMDOc
OMG! The portions are amazing. I had the waffles and fried chicken which was excellent. My girlfriend had a burger. When the waiter put the plate down on our table, he said, "Good luck." I would definitely go back. Maybe one burger for two people is plenty.
BS
Breakfast Feast. Chances you leave here without feeling engorged are zero. You have a better chance needing a forklift to help carry you out. $12-15 per plate is completely reasonable too considering the massive quantities you receive. You'll have a full breakfast for the next day if you get to-go boxes.

The famous "hash" is a mouth-watering sauté of meats (e.g. chorizo sausage, chicken, corned beef, etc), vegetables, and spices poured over a batch of crispy potato wedges or a potato pancake-like patty. Eggs are served on the side with a giant butter-milk biscuit (fresh and homemade) and they throw in a "salad" of fruit to make you feel healthy about what you're about to do to your cardiovascular system. Don't worry though--it's just two small pieces of watermelon and orange, more for decoration than utility. It's all served in a cast-iron casserole dish and brought out as soon as it's ready. They have a great policy of serving you when your particular order is done and not waiting for all of your co-diner's fancy, intricate, over-particular meals are ready.

If you're not into eating meat and protein in Serengeti lion pride quantities for breakfast, the pancakes are a great respite. Put your hand down on a table then draw a circle around it about three inches from any skin. That's what you'll be trying to ingest. They bring it to you on a serving plate. Seriously, a single pancake could easily feed a small family.

Something important to consider before you go to Hash House the first time is that this is not your typical Denny's or IHOP. This is a specialty breakfast joint that takes pride in their menu. Don't go there to order bacon, eggs, toast and orange juice. Try something interesting. You won't be disappointed.

And in case you were wondering, the service is expectedly top-notch.

You NEED to come here!!!. We went for a late breakfast (brunch, if you will) and were told there would be a 40-45 minute wait for the two of us. This was fine, since the place comes so highly recommended. we only had to wait 10 minutes at the most (no matter how long you wait, it is so worth it!). I ordered the corned beef hash, and my husband ordered Andy's sage chicken. Our food came out and you can't help but gawk at how huge the portions are. My hash had long strips of corned beef... nothing like the mush you get out of canned hash. Beneath this cheesy heaven were chunks of seasoned potatoes. Incredible. The sage chicken came with a maple reduction sauce and bacon mashed potatoes- it was AMAZING!!! Seriously, you can't come to Vegas and not eat here.

Big Portions. Gotta like a place that serves unusual and large portions.
Pancakes the size of manhole covers - and fried chicken for breakfast.
Rhoda Henderson
Server Monica needs a different job. Better the first time here. This visit .was disappointing. But the food was OK. THERE SHOULD BE AVOCADO IN A MEAL THAT says it has avocado
Sunshine7
You better be hungry!!!. When I went here for the first time, I was in for a huge surprise. I ordered the chicken and waffles and could barely finish it. The food portions are a very good size; you can definitely split it w/ someone. The overall taste of the food was good. I think it was a bit overrated. The presentation of the food was very creattive and you can tell that they have a really creative/talented cooking staff. Customer service was good as well. I would definitely go back in the future.

I'm really surprised at all of the good reviews. I've been to the West Sahara location 4 times only because people I was with insisted. Whether obscenely portioned or not, crappy food is still crappy food. The 2 hash plates I've ordered were very greasy and tasted like the skillet they were cooked in. Pancakes are huge, but cakey and bland. Breakfast potatos taste like they have been sitting out and "re-deepfried" to warm up for orders. The atmosphere is cool with kind of an edgy farm feel to it. I can appreciate the casual uniforms and allowance of visible piercings and tattoos, but I've never been happy with the service. Great ideas but poor execution all the way around. Yes.. You WILL need a box, but it's gonna sit in the fridge until you toss it anyway.
Spencer W
Here is the real deal. Everything is big portions. No custom orders, which means you can't ask them to change anything on the menu. If you can handle that, this place is awesome. Big drinks and a bacon bloody Mary. It is great
Csir82
Best breakfast place in Vegas. We went here twice on vacation because it was that good! We loved the fried chicken Benedict, the breakfast quesadilla and the fried chicken breakfast!
Anon
Grilled cheese?. I voted "I like it," but I wish there was an "it's okay" option. The price is pretty fair considering how much food they give you and they definitely do a lot with the food in terms of decor and blending odd flavors, but the food is very greasy and almost sickening (because of the grease). Definitely not a good place for picky eaters because NOTHING on the menu is even remotely plain (which isn't USUALLY a bad thing) and it kind of annoys me that they are closed more than they are open. Also, as I said, if you like to stay healthy when you eat out, this is definitely not the place for you. There are NO healthy or low-cal options. Pretty good overall, though. Very different for American cuisine.
Kadinsky
Sooo much food. Yeah, you'll have to wait around 45mins to an hour to get seated, especially on the weekends but fear not because your hunger will still never outmatch the portions. a giant glass of fresh OJ, a big frothy latte, a platter of breakfast/brunch/lunch goodness and you'll need to be rolled back out to the car.

Prepare for a breakfast on steroids when you go to Hash House a Go Go! Everything here is so needlessly excessive, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Friendly servers, delicious and well made food in huge portions, what could be better? I have been to this location and the one at the M resort. I recommend the M. If you don't mind a relatively long drive, you will be treated to nicer location with a beautiful view, as well as less of a crowd. A must visit for breakfast lovers!

Hash House a Heaven. On a recent trip to Las Vegas I had the chance to finally stop in a grab a bite at this popular restaurant. Ever since seeing this place featured on both Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Man v. Food, I knew that I had to try it.

I had the Fried Chicken with Waffles and I have to tell you, I was NOT disappointed. The chicken was tender and juicy and the hint of sage in the crust melded perfectly with the maple syrup. The bacon laden waffles were absolutely perfect and were a perfect complement to the wonderful chicken.

You have to try this place out. I will be going again and again and again.

Gigantic Portions .. Great Prices!!. I was on holiday in Vegas for a while and we'd heard about this place through friends that had been before .. They're known for "Twisted Farm Food" so upon reading the menu some might be skeptical .. However, ALL the doubt went away when they brought out the food .. I saw them taking plates to other patrons in the establishment and I watched in wide eyed amazement ..

They give you such HUGE portion sizes .. I mean with just one plate alone you could feed a family of four or five .. So if you like to get your money's worth and you're a heavy eater you'd be in hog heaven .. No pun intended .. I am most certainly looking forward to coming back because the dishes there are a dream to photograph!! I had the mushroom and swiss burger that i had to eat in four different settings and that says a lot for me because I can grub with the best of them and my friend had the chicken in waffles .. The waffles had bacon inside of them!! Never saw that before .. I give it 4 spoons .. You won't regret the visit ..

Good food. Giant portions.
Michael Overbeck
Wow this place is great!!!! Loved the atmosphere and the food was terrific
Lana
Excellent food and service. Travis, my server, was a total sweetheart and made my family comfortable.
TBrock
I really enjoyed the food here. I had a rosemary chicken special and it was fantastic. The biscuit and homemade jam was a special treat. A little pricey. But the large portion made it worth it.
Emily Deaver
The wait was long but it was worth it. The food is good but the portions are way to big!!!! 3 or 4 people could share one dish!
Fred Mccaw
BAD SERVICE! Food only looks good, but fattening and lots of ingredients u would not use in home cooking.
Floorman
I had the tenderloin sandwich, the loin was as big as my plate. 4 people could have made a meal out of my order alone! I managed to get half of it down, I don't think I can eat tenderloin for a while. Very different spin on food, but you need to try it!
Mr Yamamoto
Good breakfast food but the wait suxx.. plan ahead.
OrangeUGlad
Waited close to an hour, but a fun little environment with pretty damn good grub!
Lisa Ritz
The quoted wait time was 30-35 minutes...we waited an hour and a half. the food wasn't great and the service was slow - skip it
Denise Mast
Going Back Again. None of us could believe that one pancake or waffle would be anywhere near enough to fill us up. Wow, were we wrong! Awesome breakfast, kept us full all day. Going to back to Vegas in a couple of months and we'll be making breakfast at the Hash House part of the itinerary!
ExplorationFood
LOVE IT. Ginormous portions, high quality ingredients, and amazing flavor. This is a breakfast treat you dont want to miss. They have something for everyone.

When they say the portions are big, they are not kidding. The hash plate comes served in a cast iron skillet I would normally use to cook a meal for my whole family!

The benedicts are equally amazing. With a generous amount of the main ingredient (salmon for example). When you order, expect a twist. You won't be getting greasy corned beef hash that resembles dog food. You get large chunks of house made corned beef tossed with perfectly seasoned potatoes. Another favorite is the Bacon Waffle, such a simple but delish idea.

The only disappointment was our last visit they ran out of their very famous and amazing Tangerine juice. The Fresh squeezed orange was good, but nothing compared to the Tangerine - or like I like to call it, heaven in a glass.

The ambiance is loud, but the very cool staff is also ultra friendly. Be ready for a long wait on the weekends. Weekdays are a little better. But either way, it is totally worth it.

BREAKFAST. The menu was very diverse. We ate there on a Saturday morning and were impressed by the "bigger than Texas" pancakes! The food was fabulous and the wait staff was both efficient and friendly. Prices were the most affordable place we ate while we were in Vegas. The portions are better than anywhere. I highly recommend the Hash House a Go Go! It's definitely a must on my next trip!

Service. Eh. Food. Ok but even Ihop tastes better. It's a tourist thing, too much hype!! Major turnoff - dirty ass silverware in our table for 8. Will never come back!!

Will Not Go Back !!!. I took my son to the one located in the Imperial Palace, and I must say we will not be returning, yes the food portions are hugh but tasteless, the service was less then good, our waitress overcharged me on her gratuity gave herself an additional $5.00 on the tip already gave so $10.00 on a $50.00 tab. I expected way more do to all the rave reviews. From now on will go back to Claim Jumpers way better food huge portions and definitely worth your money!!!!

Funky comfort food!. Tried it out this weekend with my wife. There were a few misses with the service and food, but overall it's really, really good. Fun, funky atmosphere, very friendly, a little pricey, but the portions are humongous (seriously, split an appetizer and a meal and you may still have food left over), so you get good value for your $.

Pros:

* Easy to find and get into - right off Sahara and Rainbow
* Went on a Saturday Night - wasn't busy, got sat immediately
* Ambiance is fun, kind of modern rural industrial - well lit, pleasant temperature (which is great, because it was flesh-meltingly hot outside) not too loud, comfortable seating and plenty of space
* Our server had a great personality - very friendly ALL of the staff we interacted with were friendly!
* The food is creative, tasty and the portions are huge
* The HH Bloody Mary (we had it with Ketel One) is great! If you like a good bloody mary - get it! You won't be disappointed!
* The pre-dinner biscuits and honey are to die for - incredibly good!

Cons:

* Issues with timing - inexcusable for as empty as the restaurant was. Ordered a salad - it never came. Our Fried Green Tomatoes Stack came after our meals were delivered (which weren't delivered at the same time, btw)

As for our food:

* Fried Green Tomato Stack - I love fried green tomatoes and this tasted great, but the tomatoes were cut a little too thick. Loved the goat cheese, wasn't thrilled with the chicken salad part of the dish (I basically picked around it). Overall, the presentation was interesting (the stack was stuck through a quarter of a watermelon - Southern homage?), but the balsamic vinegar mixed with the goat cheese gave it a rather unappealing color and texture.

* Chicken and Waffles - for me, personally, kind of hit-and-miss. Love the concept, love the fried leek strands (very tasty), love the presentation. The bacon inside the fresh waffles is fantastic, but if there isn't enough syrup for the waffles, they can be a little bland. The chicken was the miss for me in this dish - it was slightly underdone, which I think is due to them being whole, thick boneless breasts that were fried. This actually results in a second problem, which is that there's not enough of a crust to flavor the very thick piece of breast. Maybe just pound them out a little more or use something other than boneless breasts (thighs would be extremely flavorful)? On a plus note, the crust itself was great and the breasts were extremely juicy and tender. Ultimately, I just wanted a little more overall "flavor" to the chicken, itself.

* Corned beef hash - wow! The corned beef was so good! Huge, stringy strips of awesome corned beef! The potatoes were tasty, the scrambled eggs were a perfect loose scramble. Truly, the only thing we didn't like about this dish was that the asparagus was extremely woody. It wasn't a thick stalk, either - they just didn't snap off the woody bottom prior to cooking.

After the end of this meal (much of which we took back to our hotel room), my wife and I seriously wanted to lay our heads down on the table and sleep.l We cancelled our plans to go walking and sighting until the next morning, actually!

Good food at a fair price. The presentation and service was also very good. I was expecting more of a taste bud 'punch', but the flavors weren't as strong as I would like them to have been.

Worth the wait. Have only had breakfast here! I visit the Sahara location fairly often and Sundays always seem the busiest. Portions are large so I typically order one entree to split with BF..if you order a side as well they will wave the plate splitting fee(2.50). Hashes are great and I love their home made biscuits. Thought the chicken and waffles left a bit to be desired...the waffle wasn't really crunchy at all..as a loyal fan of Roscoe's in L.A. I am a bit biased though :)

Breakfast for champs!. Be prepared for hearty portions of heavenly food! A great place to start the day!

Best Twisted Farm Food anywhere!. Hash House A Go Go

I like places that give you way more then you can eat. This place does. I like "Twisted Farm Food". The Sage fried chicken Benedict (Andy's sage fried chicken w/ fresh spinach, hardwood smoked bacon, market tomato, griddled mozzarella, chipotle cream and scrambled eggs served on a fresh split biscuit with griddled mashed potatoes) is one of my all time favorites. I have had the "Sage fried chicken stacked with our famous bacon waffle, hot maple caramel reduction and crowned with fried leeks" and it was awesome. I have also had the "Corned Beef, red onions and swiss cheese tossed with crispy potatoes & topped w/ 2 eggs, served with fruit and biscuit. It was very good and looked more like a full corned beef dinner. I have been to the one on Sahara and the one in the Imperial Palace both were clean with a friendly staff. My complaint would be the wait to get in can be long and being so busy it takes some time to get your food. Now I try to go when it is not so crowded, which is off hours for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Since I wait for off hours I am hungry when I get there and still get to take some home because I still can not finish it.

The Fatman rates this place Fat friendly. I fit at the table.

Hash House a Go Go. The best breakfast I have ever had!!! You get huge portions and the food is soooo good.

I like. Drinks at breakfast, huge food. Whats not to love? Oh yeah the wait. This places gets really busy.

Sage Fried Chicken Benedict. Heaven! I want some right now!

Country food with a unique twist. The portions are huge. Be prepared to wait about a hour on weekends.

"A Shining Star". I was hanging in LA, when I and my girlfriend at the time, decided you take a quick trip to Vegas for the weekend. The concierge at The Wynn told me about this place, years ago. It kind of hard to be an original in the restaurant business but "Hash House a Go, Go", is truly that. With pancakes as big as babies, and for combination's that most restaurants are to afraid to try, "Hash House a Go, Go" does it fearlessly. I now usually go to the one on the strip, because it's near my hotel. But it would be nice to see Johnny and Andy, and tell them how well their baby has grown up to become a STAR.

LOVE IT!. I've been to Hash House twice now (for brunch) and absolutely love it! So far we've tried the Burger, the Corned beef house hash, Fried chicken benedict & the Flapjacks. Be warned, the portions are so huge that easily 2 or 3 people can share a meal; they do have a sharing charge or the 2nd person can order something small like a biscuit to avoid the charge. The wait time can be a lengthy around peak grazing times, but it's so totally worth it!
Hans Taylor
If you go be prepared for HUGE portions, this is a great place to share a meal, but you had better be hungry if you think you can eat a meal by yourself.

Fame & Fortune. I've been a long time fan but during my last visit, it was a total miss! The food was mediocre (Grilled Chix Sandwich--ok, who orders that there, I know?) and the timing of food coming was horrifying! Over 30 minutes waiting, then each dish came out separately so we all waited while the food got cold. When I spoke with the mgr, he had every excuse in the book..."I don't have my A-Team on today," I'm even in the back cooking."

This place has gotten quite famous with all the TV food shows recognizing them but I think all the fame has gotten to their head...or they're just not prepared for the volume of people.

Hash House For The Win!. This place is unique! One of a kind dishes! Twisted creations of your already favorites! Try their duck mac and cheese! If you're looking to step up soul food and don't want your average chicken fried steak, this place is for you.

Large servings. This place is fun to go to even if you can't finish your dish. The width of the pancake is probably about a 12" pizza size. Sharing is allowed grant you order a side dish. Prizes are reasonable. Great family place.

Yum. Huge portions. Had banana bonanza pancakes - they were awesome!
Seabeelarry
Outstanding food & service! Don't let the prices run you off, the portions are larger than the Strip itself! Sage chicken & waffles rule.

Get there early on weekends!. Always busy on weekends, expect to wait over 45 minutes. Big portion and it's good too. I always get the chicken and waffles and love them. Not the traditional southern style but very good!
LeXX
First off the portions are huge I have not finished a plate yet their. Actally it's a platter of food not plate. Now as for the food it really good a bit on the pricey side but I guess you have to pay fir quality. The envirnoment is real layed back and cozy. I suggest this place for sure and yes I will be back.
Skunkybud
AWESOME!. Had a TOP NOTCH breakfast there 3 weeks ago. Cant say enough good things about this place. The music was a bit loud for breakfast but over all awesome experience!

Thanks!

You can't beat the food or prices at Hash House A-Go/Go! 2 locations in Vegas now.

Snooty Crap. If your on a diet this is the perfect place for you! 1 bite and your appetite will be long gone. They specialize in doing simple things poorly, and unsuccesfully producing edible food.
Jeff
MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!. If my son can't finish his entree' , then the portions are huge. If I have to speed back to the Rio to put the leftovers in the hotel room fridge, then the food is awesome. If the people who complain about the attitude of the servers unwilling to change the original recipe, then pick something else. And for the person who dared to compare the limited menu to Denny's, then kiss my Moon's Over My Hammy. This place is worth every dollar between the food, atmosphere and service. Absolutely awesome!
Evan
Huge portions! You've got to have an appetite; the Chicken Eggs Benedict is out of this world.
The Disposal
Actualy, surprisingly good. The price kind of fit for the quality/portion of the food (fried chicken n waffels). I'll be visiting again :)

Wow! Awesome! The best breakfast i've had in a long time. Be prepared to wait; but it's worth it!

BIG food... That's good, too. OK, so the portions here are gigantic. Do NOT come here with little appetite! There's no such thing as "too much" at the Hash House.

But don't worry, the food here is actually great. Come for breakfast and be amazed by the fresh fare that will definitely wake you up. The egg dishes are always a good bet, or take a chance on an enormous pancake or waffle if you really have a case of the sweet tooth.

I'm in Henderson, but I never mind driving to the West Side for Hash House. Yes, it's really that good!

You must 'a go go!. I have always been a fan of Hash House since they opened in Las Vegas. They won me over with their Twisted Farm Food style and very tasty food. The staff has always been decent and any issues I've ever had have been made right by the thoughtful manager! For example, I once criticized their food for being bland or not being seasoned right, and the manager personally emailed me that he appreciated my comment and would talk to his staff immediately about remedying this! Wow, thanks, because ever since then, each dish I've got has been wonderful. Yes the portions are HUGE, but come on, its meant to enjoy and take home for later. Who here is among the eat your whole meal club? I dare anyone new to the place to try to finish all their food! Go easy on the free biscuits if you're going to attempt this! If you're hesitating going...come on, just go...this place is buzzworthy for a reason! 9/10.

This place not only has large food portions they have mega attitude. They have huge chunks of fried potatoes not shredded hasbrowns not much seasoning in the food either. And for those of you who want to add a little melted cheese on your entrée forget it the answer is NO! unbelievable right? At this place it's their way or the highway hash house a go go is a NO NO!
Unlvsac
Very good food, portions are huge and prices are a bit high. But they serve comfort foods. Meatloaf sandwhiches for dinner with a sundeied tomatoe spread on a sourdough toasted bread, crazy good. Breakfast is great and the drinks in the morning especially the bloody marys are top notch.

Supersized slice of heaven. The food here is larger than life & so incredibly tasty.

sauces & seasonings galore.

prices are reasonable & they have gift certificates on restaurant.com too!!

service is second to none

We were looking for a good breakfast spot, and boy did we find it! The food, price, and portions were Great. This is a very cute place with nice staff. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good breakfast place.

Huge portions. Great presentation. Taste great... You will never want to go to ihop again.... The main thing they could improve is be more vegetarian friendly... Also try the watermelon lemonade.

I tried it.. I've been here twice. The second time b/c a friend wanted to try it out. The food is good, the sizes are huge and most of everything on the menu is made from scratch. The menu is short compared to other restaurants like Denny's, and it is kind of pricey. I've ordered the skillets when I was there, and out of the two i thought the Artichoke and Sundried tomato skillet was good. If you like specialty drinks the Pistachio Latte is good. I recommend Hash House A Go-Go for a first visit. Its worth a try.

Come hungry. The food is great! The only downside is the portions. You can easily split one meal between two people. Trendy setting, and the wait staff are very attentive.

FOUR STARS: Chastised by some for portions felt to be irresponsible, and reportedly varying in quality depending on kitchen staff and time of day, all three of my visits to HHaGG as well as San Diego’s Tractor Room spin-off have been memorable for not only the food but the service – a Midwestern vibe for a Midwesterner at heart, no matter what state the drivers license says.
The Drunken Tomato
As I scrolled down the menu, my eyes locked onto one particular item. I promptly stopped reading, set my menu down, took a deep breath and waited impatiently to order. This special item was the Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles with a maple reduction, fried leeks and bacon cooked into the waffle. That’s right, bacon cooked INTO the waffle. It was literally a bacon waffle fried chicken Tower of Babel with a rosemary stalk reaching out to the brunch gods. The bacon waffles with maple reduction were wonderful.

The french toast was tremendous. It had that nice crispness on the outside and was gooey soft on the inside. The banana was the perfect counterpoint with its deep brown sugar caramel and warm, soft texture. The hash was amazing. Sometimes chorizo can be greasy, not this time. It was tender and spicy. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the chiles had enough heat to leave that warmth in the back of your throat. So good! The biscuits were the perfect finish. Light and fluffy, they contrasted nicely with the fresh churned butter and sweet peach preserves. Throughout this food extravaganza, we wanted for nothing. Our server, with deft handiwork, cleared dirty plates, refilled near empty glasses and coffee mugs, checked back often but not obtrusively. We did not even notice when he brought new silverware or cleared small plates; he was that good, and they all were. I was really impressed when an older lady at a nearby table was having trouble ordering in English and the server switched over

Everything about Vegas is over the top. One of the most over the top breakfasts can be had at Hash House a Go Go. They are known for their crazy concoctions of burgers stacked high, pancakes larger than pizzas, and breakfast plates big enough for three, four maybe. I have been to the one in San Diego, and the long wait was rewarded with plates of impossible to finish food. Delicious at that. Going to Vegas, knowing there was a Hash House off the strip and on the strip, my breakfast was set. We ordered the iced pistachio mocha to start things off. It was milky and ice cold. The pistachio taste was subtle, but there. It was similar to the Nutella shake at Burger Bar . The chocolate was a nice background flavor. Imagine chocolate hazelnut (nutella) but then replace the hazelnut with pistachio. It worked! Tasty! The craziest dish I have ever seen was the sausage gravy pot pie. It had scrambled egg and mashed potatoes which was normal. This was I guess their version of sausage and biscuits,

With all of their hype from their appearance on "Man vs. Food", Hash House A Go Go is always busy during peak dining hours, especially breakfast. Because of that I've always tried to avoid eating there. I finally gave in the other day and stopped by for dinner, even though they're not know for their post-breakfast foods. We got there early and were seated right away, unfortunately at the crappiest table they had - the table closest to the entrance and in a high-traffic area. We even asked the hostess if we could have a booth but she said she had to seat us at a table. Continuing with the bad service, our waiter decided not to show up at our table for a good ten minutes. Another fifteen minutes later we finally got some water, which prompted my wife to pull the hostess aside and politely ask her to move us or give us better service. After that, the service wasn't bad. Too bad we couldn't say the same about the food. Sure, the huge biscuits coated in honey w

\For me, this place is food porn on a plate. Las Vegas has a gagillion off the hook places to eat but if you need a little break from the strip and the $50 burger, I would definitely recommend the cab ride to the north side of the city and indulge. Portions are huge so bring an appetite, the chicken and waffles I could not finish, and anybody who knows me knows that is impossible.
Not On The Strip
