Great family owned business. Fresh food. Overall, a great place.

I have been eating at Huapei for almost 40 years, through two generations of owners. While the building is plain and lacking in decorations, the food is the best Chinese cuisine in the Lansing area. The current owners make people feel like family. I have yet to try the sizzling rice soup, which I hear is very popular, but I can never turn down their wonderful hot and sour soup. The potstickers are so very good, and the Huapei chicken is always hot and flavorful. Keep in mind that it is a small family run place without a large staff. The food is always worth the wait.

I don’t know how about his place isn’t more popular. I’ve lived in or around Lansing for the past decade and no one has brought it up. The egg rolls are always fresh and the portions are good. Give this place a try, I know I was t disappointed.
Btw, I added the food to a plate at home. You get a lot more than the picture shows lol.

I’m sure that here’ll be my go to restaurant!
All dishes are so good.
I want to try all kind of menu someday.

I got the almond chicken and it was ok but it wasn't at all what I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be two chicken breasts, breaded on a bed of lettuce with gravy and fried rice. I ws very disappointed with that. The chicken dish that I got was ok but it's hard to tell you a valid review, sorry. What it was tasted ok and the eggroll was good. Everything on the menu is separate and priced that way so the egg roll and soup were separate so the dinner was 14.31 which I thought was expensive. There was a lot extra food though, enough for my husband to have a plate, but minus the egg roll, I ate that all myself. I think the food is very good and they are very friendly there so I gave them 4 stars. I was so sad about the almond chicken that I can't do 5 stars.

Very authentic Chinese food. They are open now after 2 months closing. Good food and reasonable price. My best is sweet and sour pork. 한국어 메뉴판도 있어요.

The Huapei chicken, crab rangoons, family tofu, and sizzling rice are some of my favorite dishes here. Service is great. Owners are lovely. Ambiance is basic, but the food speaks for itself! A must try. This is my favorite restaurant in Lansing, MI.

The best East Asian fusion restaurant in town! The food is unbelievably amazing. We ordered several different Korean, Chinese, and Taiwanese dishes, and they all came in generous portions and all immediately satisfied our picky taste buds. Enjoying the very authentic taste, we felt as if we were magically transported back to Asia.
