What a great place tucked away in a place that looks like a store. The restaurant is up the stairs on the second floor. We would’ve never stopped here if it wasn’t for our first choice to have an almost 2 hr wait. A new and pleasant experience trying French cuisine. Needed some coaching by our server and she was fabulous! The food was Devine. The other diners were great as well as we had a fussy baby at our table. I loved the decor. My only complaint was the wood benches I sat on were uncomfortable after some time. I suggest sitting on your coat or something somewhat soft. Yes, I would come back.

The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I’ve forgotten the name of our server, but he was tall and hair pulled back in a low bun (just want him to get praise!). Chris the manager came by the table as well and was also so friendly and welcoming. My husband said the braised chicken was the best he’s had and my risotto was a total win. Will be back again!

The food was great, the food is always at least really good. Today's service was pretty spotty at best. We probably waited about 10 minutes between being set and getting any sort of really help ordering.I couldn't figure out if something was going on or if it the table was kind of out of sight, out of mind. Once we did get a specific things we're better, but slow. That said we weren't really in a hurry and totally enjoyed the food.

The restaurant is located upstairs so it’s hard to realize that it is full of customers and has very lively and posh vibe. I could only get table at bar as it was fully booked out on Saturday night. The burger was pretty high quality but drinks were too sugary for my taste. Icecream as well was too sweet and I would probably not get any desserts. Service was very nice and welcoming.

Amazing post Ragnar lunch. Service was totally spot on. Our waiter (Joe?) was terrific. We got chickpea fries and gougeres, and I had the spinach, feta, cherry tomato quiche. Good lord this is good food. What a great spot, great view, great lunch, great experience. Could not have sealed up our Ragnar trip any better.

If you're a local islander, you know this place. If you're a city dwelling-ferry hopping weekender, you must get to know this place. Prima Bistro is not French fine dining but more like French-Pacific Northwest fusion cuisine. Located in the ❤ of Langley on Whidbey Island, the restaurant is a flight up the stairs to the second floor that has an outdoor balcony for ocean view seating and a deep dining room. The clams & chorizo entree was delicious & a generous portion. However, the well seasoned & slightly spicy chorizo overwhelmed the clams. The juice is excellent for bread dipping. The French onion soup was unique and not the typical standard one would expect but hearty & delicious nonetheless. The croque monsieur had heft with succulent ham with subtle but tasty dijon flavor. The calamari fritti was prepared just right and the harissa rouille was prima! Last time I visited was 11 years ago. So glad this place is still here. The food is still excellent. The waitstaff is professional, courteous, attentive & friendly. The interior has a theatre vibe and the ocean view is so NW. Support your local small businesses & independent restaurants 👍

This french restaurant is a hidden treasure in Whidbey island. We had a wait time of about 45 mins on Sunday evening. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We ordered clamps, muscles and veggies, wine and desserts. The clamps were perfectly cooked with tomatoes, herbs and pork, the muscles were the best too, cooked with celery, garlic, onions. The wine tasted so well with the food. The desserts are a must try! The hazelnut chocolate moose was a perfect end to our delicious dinner. Definitely going to this place again.

I would literally drink their blue cheese aioli with a straw. Absolutely drool-worthy. We enjoyed their super fun mixed drinks and amazing views! Service was excellent. The homemade pickles were spicy! And they accommodated Gluten Free!!

Great service and atmosphere! The snails was the real star of the show! We also got the duck confit, the mussels, the clam and chorizo and they were all great as well. Get a side order of bread for all the broth! Steven the bar tender made amazing drinks and was a cool guy. Lovely experience!

I just read a review about Prima Bistro that was a bit baffling to me. I ate here several times before the pandemic and then again just last week with no visits in the interim. I was amazed at how consistent it had remained. The service was excellent, so many fantastic, warm, knowledgeable, kind folk working together in a warm, neighborhood spot. I think it's hard to do what Prima Bistro is doing much better than they are doing it. Cheers to you all!
