Review Saku Saki - Lancaster

Andre Redmon
The food and atmosphere are very nice. Most importantly, they have a diverse range of offerings for everyone that is priced very well. Most notably, as a person who is low carb myself, they have EXCELLENT low carb options that don't take away from the authentic sushi experience. The Sashimi Salad alone is reason enough to cause me to be a repeat customer. They put a lot of thought and care into the salad rather than just throwing fish on a bed of greens. The service was excellent as well, and they will DEFINITELY be seeing me again!

They have good food at good prices. Just can't wait till there is more people that know so they will be able to open their dinning room.

The worst place ever... they put hot rolls with raw fish rolls, the salmon was store bought, do not order from here... it's to go only and once u leave well its already paid for... stay away this is the worst place I've been to, really...store bought salmon... I wasted my money took half a bite of my rolls before being disgusted 1 look at the baked mussels and couldn't even touch them... looked like barf on top shut this place down

Amazing hidden Gem in West Lancaster. Your surrounded by Japanese decorations while you dine on the best quality sushi! Highly recommend the yellowtail Carpaccio, Dragon roll, 911 roll and Salmon lemon roll! Will be going back...and soon!

Always good and always fresh! If you like spicy, get the Firecracker Roll. This part is not on the menu, but if you order it extra spicy, you will find a new addiction. You can't say I didn't warn you. @2 for $17, it's easy to make this a ritual.

Came here for Mother's day around 5pm. We made reservations considering it was mothers day but the place wasn't busy at all. The serve came around and took our drink orders and then disappeared for about 15 mins. We literally had to flag her down to take our food orders, then came the big wait. 1/4 appetizers and the kids meal came out about 15mins after ordering. Had to ask 2 different servers for a fork so that my little brother could eat his food. We then had to wait about 30mins for our rolls to come out, it seemed a bit long considering how busy it wasn't. On the positive side the portions were big and the food was great. I'm not sure what the issue was today but it left a bitter taste in our mouths.

Friendly staff and delicious food! Sometimes there can be a wait, but it's understandable. I just watch an episode of TV in the meantime. My favorite rolls are the spicy tuna roll & rainbow roll.

Used to be an amazing place two years ago. It seems like the word got out, Saku Saki couldn't handle the influx of new customers, and now they're too overworked to provide good service. I came here and ordered the Super Philadelphia roll, which took 30 minutes to reach my table and was above room temperature, maybe had been sitting for a while. After taking a bite I realized they had forgotten the cream cheese, and checked each piece to make sure. Called the waitress over and told her they forgot the cream cheese, she looked at my girlfriends roll and said "that doesn't come with cream cheese" I said "I know, but mine does and they forgot it on mine." She said "yours has cream cheese, hers does not." The third time now I repeated "No, they did not put cream cheese in mine." She said "Oh, so you don't taste the cream cheese?" And I said "No, I've checked every piece and there is none." So she took my existing roll and plopped tiny cubes of cream cheese on top, which is not how it's prepared. I tried one more piece but the texture and flavor was all wrong, so I did not eat the rest of the roll and just ordered a new roll. She charged me for both rolls.

Omg by far the best sushi I have eaten. I've only been a sushi fan for about 8 years but some of the best rolls I've ever had. The price is and amount of sushi was excellent. Highly recommend.

Best Sushi and customer service in the AV, period!!! This family owned business started from the bottom and worked its way to being the best sushi spot in the Av. Not commercialized, it's real and authentic. Uses fresh fish and top of the line products. For the price you can't beat that. Come try Saku Saki. Oh and I didn't mention the ambiance is amazing very romantic and great place to end a date night. 1 Love, King

I can't get enough of this place. My son loves it as well, he's 9. I usually interact with the owner when I order for pickup. She's learned my voice and that I still need a fork to go with my order without my asking. I dined in the other night and she was making rounds to the tables and checking in with everyone. Best miso soup, love the salad and teriyaki chicken. Great restaurant.

Tables were dirty, they never picked up our trash or empty plates from the table, there was trash on the floor and the toilet smells horrible. Food was okay but there is definitely room for improvement.

My daughter's co-worker told her about this restaurant, so we knew we had to try it out. Let me just say we have found our new go-to sushi spot!! We tried four different rolls: Tiger Eye roll, Hawaiian roll, Super Philly roll, and the vegetarian Eggplant roll. The rolls were HUGE and so delicious! Better yet, the service was fast and super friendly! I highly recommend this restaurant if you want quality sushi at great prices.

The Saku Saki experience was over all ok, these are the reasons that I didn't give it a 5. The place itself is waaay too small for the volume of clientele the server wasn't really attentive due to overcrowding, very drafty and cold near the door, people wait for long periods of time to be seated. The ambiance is very nice and the food is delicious. I'd definitely go back but will insist on sitting in a booth.

This is simply the BEST place for authentic, Japanese sushi!! The sushi is fresh, prepared by the best sushi chefs anywhere (Toshi, Damien, Tommy) and at an awesome price!! The ambiance is very welcoming and all who visit are treated like friends. I always know that I will have great sushi and beer and that I will always leave feeling better than when I first walked into the restaurant! Kudos on your first year and may you have many more wonderful years!!

One of our favorite sushi places. For a long time it use to be a little secret, never busy ... but lately they seem to have been "found out" Because it is always busy. But the service is always friendly and the sushi is great. :)
