Review 551 West - Lancaster

The restaurant has an agreement with the funeral home across the street so diners can park. I wish I had known this before I parked so I wanted to include it in the review for anyone interested in trying a new place. I found 551 West on a travel website that I use that recommends places when visiting new locations. The service was great and the waitress was really friendly and helpful in picking a burger from the menu. The soup of the day was Teriyaki Chicken which sounded unique since I've never had it before, of course I had to try it. The first few bites were great but I started to notice it was more salty as I continued to eat. I had the Peach Burger with garlic fries as my meal. The burger was cooked to perfection but the peach slices were too thick so the ratio was off (in my opinion) but it was still really good. The fries tasted great but were really greasy. Lots of reviews mentioned their cheesecake so I felt obligated to try it. I got a slice of Snickers Cheesecake which was the flavor recommended by our amazing waitress. The texture was not a traditional cheesecake but the flavor was great. The slice was huge, like two and a half normal slices. As soon as I saw it, I had them pack it up to go knowing I couldn't finish it but that I'd have a fridge at the hotel, but I had a few bites while still in the restaurant.

My friend and I were from out of town and popped in 551 on a Monday night. Ash was our bartender. Let me tell you, she did not miss a beat. Super knowledgeable and honest, which I loved. Food was so good. We got fried mashed potato balls, wedge salad, chicken tenders with garlic Parmesan fries, and fish tacos. Everything was so good and I am pretty particular, so it is not common I feel this way. They had karaoke with Syd and we had THE BEST TIME. We will definitely be back!

First time into Lancaster. Great place. Nice people and great food. They have a draft beer list a mile long. I like to try local craft beer and there were many to choose from. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back!

If you’re looking for a brick of Mac n cheese, this is your spot. The app could easily feed 3-4! It was awesome. And the Pastrami sandwich was also very good! Very nice place with an awesome second floor patio.

We threw a surprise party for my husband here last weekend. Craig was always quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. The food was delicious!! The guests kept commenting how good it was. Everyone had a fantastic time! Thank you!!

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The baked mash potato balls are unique and good. It was not too busy being a Sunday but I'm guessing this place is hopping on the weekends. Our server, Sarah was just wonderful. Check it out!

We had great food and service. Sam (our server) was very knowledgeable about the food and the establishment itself. We all got different sandwiches and loved them! They had unique items for example I had a peachy chicken sandwich. It was a grilled chicken breast with peaches and an pepper onion cream sauce. It was very good..not to over powering just the right blend. We are not from the area but we would try this place again should we be around again!

Food and staff was amazing. Don't judge a book by its cover. When we first walked in, we didn't expect the type of food we got. The fried Mac n cheese is the ultimate comfort food. Burgers were good. Sweet potato fries were bomb. But the best part? THEIR CHEESECAKE! It was to die for.

Was there for a bridal shower upstairs, and it was absolutely beautiful! I loved the whole setting and layout. It was a very cool place to have a bridal shower for my soon to be daughter inlaw. Very nice place for any occasion! Thanks for the great experience! See you again!

One of my faves in Lancaster. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend! Also if you like chicken tender these are a MUST!! 🧡

551 catered our party, everybody loved the food. They were easy to work with and help to get everything together on late notice. Beef, pork, mac & cheese, corn.. delicious!!

We got a table on the 2nd floor, because 1st floor was packed. The food was good, but the chips are too weak to handle the Nachos.

Love this place... The food, drinks, atmosphere is GREAT.. I've had everything on the menu, EVERYTHING IS GOOD ....My favorite is the peanut butter burger (551 Burger) 💕. The wedge salad it's so great, add blacken shrimp or chicken for protein. ALL the staff at 551 are AWESOME!! Jimmy's the Best bartender he has our drinks ready before we even sit down.

Awesome service and staff. Great atmosphere. The temperature is top notch and if staying cool In the summer isn't your thing, their roof top is a beautiful outside bar that slams harder than Hulk Hogan against Andre the Giant at WM 3. Oh the Cheesecake is bloody delicious. Best ever. PERIOD.

551 West is my go-to neighborhood hang even 3 years after moving out of the neighborhood! It's that good. Always great food, phenomenal service, in a welcoming atmosphere.

I got the 551 Burger, it is unique! has peanut butter on it which is interesting and actually pretty good as it balances out the jalapeños well Burger was fantastic! Wife enjoyed the French dip sandwhich but it really didn’t have a lot of meat, would probably recommend burger instead We also got the fried Mac and cheese appetizer which I enjoyed and would recommend. My wife didn’t care for it though The Beer selection was great and I enjoyed it

Awesome restaurant. The atmosphere was laid-back and friendly and the food was out of this world. The fish tacos were amazing and everything was fresh and delicious. Couldn't recommend 551 West more!

Lancaster Iconic Landmark bar... Gotta visit..Only a few of these left. Always a great time... place.. atmosphere..FOOD And TopBartender Jimmy....
