Review Cafe 24 Hundred - Lancaster

Joe
Cafe 24 hundred is a restaurant inside the DoubleTree resort. We decided to eat here while staying at this hotel instead of driving out. The restaurant was not busy during our visit, as it was practically empty minus the seats at the bar, which is where we sat as well. This review is for dinner only. It took a moment for the bartender to get to us, but she was the only one working front of house. No big deal. We ordered a few drinks before ordering an appetizer, (fried mozzarella) and our main courses: a cheeseburger and loaded nachos. It took some time for the food to arrive, and we were disappointed to see that the appetizer came with our main course, not before. Everything showed up hot and fresh and the food was appetizing. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the restaurant is located within a hotel! Overall, I do recommend eating at Cafe 24 Hundred if you find yourself stating at the resort. The food is definitely good enough to keep you close to your room instead of wandering out.

We enjoyed this place. Food was not bad. Service was a little slow. They only have a limited menu after 9pm. I would recommend this place.

Jennifer was running because there was a bus tour ahead of us but she made sure we were accommodated when we needed a special table for Handicapped needs. Great Breakfast.

Outstanding food with huge portions! The service was just ok-not what is expected at a hotel of this caliber. Very long wait on drinks and another long wait to place our order even though the restaurant was not busy for a Friday night. Staff was very pleasant and apologetic.

We liked this facility and the area so much we are coming back in the fall. Breakfast buffets with bacon. Great waitresses. Loved the variety and quality of the food. My courtyard picture has had 18,000 views

A little slow in serving with only 2 couples at the bar. However, not sure if short staffed. He kept walking away from the bar.

Not what it used to be. Hopefully as business returns they can come back to the gem they were.

Not what it was. Too many staff turnovers. Stale menu. Not interested in suggestions to the menu and understaffed. Too bad, it used to be a good place for a local to visit, now it's lost it's draw.

Food was delicious and it was a very nice place to hold a rehearsal dinner/ wedding reception

We went there for a simple valentines dinner. Wings, nachos & drinks. Ours wings were perfect! Nice & crispy! The nachos were good but could have used a few more toppings. Drinks were great & our waitress was really good. Very pleasant, knowledgeable & attentive.

This place is inside a nice DoubeTree Resort and it's unfortunate for such a nice place to have such a bad restaurant. Ok service but long wait and less than stellar meals. Corn soup was the only thing we enjoyed. Passed of frozen struck-umms as beef tips. If your staying at the resort find a better place to eat. Don't fall for the hotel restaurant trap!

Second time here and not much has changed last time 2 years back just myself and family had lunch was so so this time back in the area for another vacation this time with a friends family where do we start first slow service and restaurant was not busy, started with sweet corn pesto soup it was ok , then a Cuban style taco just weird bland odd tasting . Next was the mussels daughter and friends wife ordered they where ok , then comes this tip on flatbread with a balsamic reduction under a mound of arugula what a joke don't serve me steak um and try and pass it off as tip disgusting. Just one of those typical hotel trap restaurants to quote a friend

Terrible food. Way over priced. My wife and I both ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. Small piece of flavorless chicken stuck between two large pieces of tasteless bread. Sadly disappointed.

Cafe 24 hundred is one of the best places I have ever eaten. The food is great and the service is even greater. The staff was very kind and interactive while the food was nothing less then excellent. I will be going back. I have been there many times and each time is a good time. Keep up the good work cafe 24 hundred!

Menu. This is the most ridiculous way to show a menu! Photos of the menu that are unreadable! I was very disappointed and baffled that anyone who has a website would leave it this way! Very unprofessional!

Really good stuff here. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night during a recent stay when the kids were way too tired to eat out. Very good choice. Prices very reasonable. $2 pints of Victory ale! Service was outstanding. And food was quite tasty.

Food is terrible. Really need to use fresh ingredients and try some seasoning.

Way overpriced for the quality of food. Don't expect a flavorful meal.

Great food. I have eaten there several times and the food and the service have always been excellent. I usually eat at the bar and the bartender is always friendly. Have had a bad experience there eith with food, drinks or service. Love it!

Perfect Meatloaf. Living in Lancaster county all my life I have had plenty of delicious homemade meatloaf .Honestly I can say that this was some of the best meatlof I've ever had and well worth the price. The service was great and we got the one night special rings and they were incredible . We will definitely Be Back for seconds

Good Eating. I found Cafe 2400 to have a nice atmosphere, especially at the bar. The food was excellent. My filet was cooked perfectly, and my clients each commented on how tasty the appetizers were. It was a great experience overall - good food, good people! I would recommend this establishment.

Great food! Can't wait to go again! Ordered the meatloaf and loved it!!! Wish I had the recipe! Have definately seen an improvement in quality of food since it opened!

The food is good, the menu is a good price, nice service staff, and the atmosphere is nice. The chocolate lava is delicious and my favorite entreé is the grilled flat iron. I've eaten there 3 times and the daily specials they do are really good. The chefs that come up with them seemed to have alot of knowledge and talent. I would reccomend you try it.

Good service great food. My husband and I ate in cafe 2400 for their valentines day prix fixe menu. This was our first visit and we loved it! It was five courses of delicious! Definately reasonably priced, good service and even better food. The chefs in cafe 2400 are a talented bunch. Try the creme brulee it's amazing!

Not worth it. Ate at Cafe 2400 for a quick business luncheon. Quiche was served still frozen in center, had to ask for it to be heated thoroughly. No refill offered on coffee. Waitress seemed unsure of herself and had to ask others for our answers. Newness?

The homemade chips were good and actually still warm!
was expensive for what it was,

Not worth the visit since the executive chef was let go last year...

Mediocre food, terrible server, glass globe on light above our table had a large hole in it. Table dirty, dirty cup & glass on table. No apology from waitress; she completely ignored us. Had to get the bus boy to get her to give us our check. Would not recommend this place or eat here again.

Not bad/ not great. Finally getting a place in Willow Street that serves alcohol was exciting, unfortunately it has "hotel food" and not much atmosphere. We've eaten there 3 times each time in the bar. Prices are very good but the food is mediocre. 2 different Bartenders seemed harassed and somwhat unprofessional. We purposefully waited a few weeks before our first visit but after 3 visits are dissapointed. A menue overhall is much needed.

Good food, reasonable price. My wife and I have eaten at Café 24 Hundred four times since they opened in early May 2010-twice for dinner and twice for lunch. The prices are very reasonable. We ate dinner for $60 having two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts ($4), and one cocktail ($5.5). The food is excellent with many of the ingredients coming from local providers. Their executive chef was brought in from the Sherton Crescent Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. He served as their executive chef for four years and brings a unique twist and flare to the Café 24 Hundred menu. Being a brand new restaurant recently opened they are still working out the service kinks but the food is amazing and at a great price. Stop by today for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
