Review Pizza Casa Inc. - Lakewood

Extremely Expensive.... A single calzone which they say is 12 inches (it was a little bigger than my hand) was almost $40!!! I will never return... I figured it must be really good to warrant such a price... It was average.. The hard part was swallowing the price... The waitress was extremely nice.

Food wasn't worth the price taste wise or portion wise. Staff was super nice and friendly. Environment was relaxing but the food just wasn't as good as it should be for as much as I paid. I got 2 pizzas one small spaghetti and bread. Should not have been close to 70$. I figured id give them a try tho because they have great reviews so at least I got it out of my system

Story time. I'm in the mood for pizza and I see the reviews for this place. Obviously at 4.6 stars (at the time) it must be good right? Right. So I call up, order 2 pies, one with a sausage, the other plain, and some cheesy garlic bread. The woman on the phone was as kind as can be, truly great customer service, she gives me the time and we end the call. So, I head out to get the pizza, hop in and they go grab my pies. The woman from the phone is equally nice in person and she rings me up. SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS. Now, I'm wondering if they've got the wrong order because I KNOW I would've cancelled if they had said $65 to me on the phone. But you know what, I was there, the pizza was made, and I was hungry. So I paid, figuring this was going to be some truly upscale pizza. One big indulgence, a special night with special pizza. I was wrong. I opened up the garlic bread first. It looks like a baguette cut in half with some cheese melted on top, and tasted about the same. It was truly some mediocre bread. Now this wouldn't have normally offended me enough to write a review, but $65 is enough that I felt the need. Now let's talk pizza. The plain cheese was ROUGH. The crust was thin and tasteless, the sauce was bland and felt like it came from a can, the cheese however was pretty decent, but nowhere enough to salvage the pie. You'll remember that I ordered a sausage pie, thing is, I look in the box and it looks like a plain cheese. I'm upset, but eat it anyways, because, again, I'm hungry. Turns out there were like 3 sad little pepperonis buried under some cheese near the center of the pizza. Those actually tasted pretty good, though again, there were only 3 and they were not of an appreciable size. Bear in mind, the problems from the cheese pie carried over here as well. Initially I didn't want to do this review, because frankly I don't like complaining. Thing is, I don't want others going through what I did. According to other reviews this place makes good food, so perhaps they should change their name and focus on that, because if the pizza is what they're placing their reputation on, they're not getting any points from those of us unfortunate enough to buy from them. Thing is, I don't know what their other food tastes like, and I never will, my experience bothered me so much I'm just never going back.

The food was excellent however, we were given a bill for $73 with no itemized list. We ordered a margherita pizza for $20.45 and 2 caprese salads $7 each. Total $34.45. A glass of house wine and a margarita. This means our drinks were about $18 each !! Outrageous ! Either that or we got ripped off ...

Ordered over the phone. Not only was the lady rude but the food was also awful. I should’ve known better. The place was open but empty. That’s a classic sign that something’s not right. NEVER AGAIN

Pizza Casa is no longer my house for pizza or anything. The screwed up my order two different times, the last two times I went. Today I drove there at 8 because they advertised they were open until 10. I was told sorry they close at 8 now. Sorry does sum it up. Prior to this I was a regular customer for about 30 years, I missed about 8 years due to a move. Not the same service for which is what the Pizza Casa was known.

The hamburger here is so yummy! Comes with chips and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The burger is made in house and served on a toasted Italian bread. It is HUGE. I can barely eat half in a sitting. Complementary bread basket is always a hit with us. Atmosphere is family friendly and kiddos can get a balloon at the end of the meal.

Really great pizza from a place that has been around for a really long time. One of the last old fashioned dine-in pizza diners left.
