La Botana - Lake Wales - Photo album

Great little hole-in-the-wall place. The food was very good and authentic. The store part is fully stocked with many items so while you wait on your food you can shop around.
I moved here from California and my husband and I think the food here is as good as that found in San Diego, which is pretty terrific. The secret here is the meats, which are seasoned to perfection, though my daughter is vegetarian and she loves the food here too. Portions are large. An added bonus
Everything and everyone that works and own the Restaurant/Grocery Store are AMAZING !! Oh and the food is as authentic as it gets. The Pasole is also huge and amazingly delicious.
So glad I stopped here for lunch. A couple guys at another table seemed really happy with their meals as I ordered the beef soup and a lengua taco also. Money well spent!
I ordered the enchiladas which came with rice and beans. Also pictures is a steak and cheese empanada. The food was nice and hot, tasted fresh and home made. Large portions for the price compared to other Hispanic restaurants I've visited. They include plenty of sauces to pour over the enchiladas. T
Drove by a few times. Finally stopped in, has a nice little shop in the front and in the back is spot to eat, really nice very friendly staff. Food was delicious!!! Also came out quick. I will definitely stop by more often when I pass through.
The food here is amazing. Very authentic, like grandma cooked it. Very nice people and very good service. 100 % recommended
Went in and at that moment I knew we had hit the jackpot. You know a place is authentic when they have a mini supermarket combined with the restaurant. Tacos de lengua were very tasty as well as chimichanga. Go and give them a try!
The burritos were spot on, I got the burrito with flaming hot Cheetos and some potatoes, melted cheese with carne asada. My lady got the barbacoa burrito, which was so well seasoned. We shared a horchata as the portions and cups are huge. The entrees can feed a large man easily. The pricing is ext
Had a great meal, tried diff menu and appetizer, tacos, tostada and empanada, are my favorite!
Whole in the wall but food was surprising fresh and tasty. Place is mainly a supermarket. Not really a restaurant, but you can order food at a window in the back.
Best Mexican food this side of the Mississippi. 6yr Marine stationed in Southern California says so!!! Update 3/1/22 Still the best Mexican this side of the Mighty Mississippi!!
OMG! What a hidden gem! This place is a Mexican market with a restaurant/grill inside. The prices are ridiculously low and the quantity and quality of the food is huge for the value! We enjoyed chicken and pork tamales and an order of nachos. The green salsa (Verde) for the tamales was spicy and ve
My husband I love eating here. It's a great little whole in the wall with delicious food.
Quick trips to town…. Stop quick bite….. Oh yeah…You’ll want to order something to-go too. Authentic and delicious every time no matter what is ordered. This is ceviche tostada. Simple. Fresh. Lengua Torta w beans n rice for dinner. Yum yum yum.
It’s a hole in a wall. The food is delicious I can’t complain. 🥰🥰🥰
Quaint little store with a cafe with the best Mexican food than any restaurant. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious.
