I would qualify this is the best hometown restaurant Lake Wells has to offer. With Lake Wells being in a small town you have a lot of corporate stuff that tries to move in but if you want true Hometown cooking and Hometown food, this is where you want to go.

Great if you're looking for a no frills kind of meal! Service was great and food was in no way bad, just a bit expensive for what you get! I enjoyed the Cuban breakfast sandwich but would have enjoyed a fruit cup or something as a side for the 6.99 price! We will probably be back to try a few more meals!

Small restaurant about the size of my two-car garage (in fact it was once a garage) My favorite place for Western omelette and the biscuits and gravy is good too Waiting for Robert Irvine to show up and do a little remodel.

Very nice people, the food is always great. The service is impeccable.

Small cozy quiet delicious food priced very reasonably. Delicious breakfast omelette and hash browns. Convenient location in spite of all the construction. Easy parking.

☆☆☆☆☆ BILL'S CAFE is amazing! We love this little home-feeling, hole in the wall, diner! There is a drycleaning business, adjacent and connected to this place, located in the heart of Lake Wales, Florida's, historical downtown area. We eat here at least once a week and more often, if able, in the last year. Their grill-cook is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to flavor and food quality. The menu choices are standard diner foods, but the feeling you get, when you eat the food is like a touch of love from grandma! All of the staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating, here. My favorite breakfast dish is the biscuits & HOMEMADE gravy... But, you must order the biscuit, GRILLED! I promise you'll never want a "soft" biscuit, ever again! The homefries are to die for! They're perfect and it's rare to find a perfectly, crispy on the outside, potato cube with a delectable mashed potato consistency on the inside! YUM! They have coffee, tea, soda pops, juices & h2o. They're open Monday thru Friday, for BREAKFAST & LUNCH, SERVICE. They're definitely closed on Sunday. There is Wheel chair access; Restroom available;They have highchairs available. You can order for take away. There's a little immediate parking available, with more spaces for parallel parking on the roadway, of Central Ave., just west of Scenic HWY/17. The picture attatched to this review, is of Country Fried Steak with your choice of White or Brown Gravy, served with Collard Greens, homemade Macaroni & Cheese, Garlic Toast, AND, access to the Salad Bar, for ONLY $6.99 !!!! I'm seriously eating my left-overs from this pictured meal, right now, as I type this review. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY! The other attatched photo is of a Rueben sandwich: Crispy toasted rye bread, with the perfect portions of corned beef, sour kraut, and 1000 island dressing! It was served with your choice of potato chips or fries... these are crinkle-cut fries. My husband said the Rueben, was perfect and that he'd absolutely re-order and recommend it... the Rueben is on the paper menu, while the Country fried Steak meal, was a daily lunch special choice. The prices are totally reasonable. The portion sizes are very filling. And, you WILL want to box your left-overs & take them home, because this food is GREAT, even on the seconds! :-) ♡ ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 STARS, ALL THE WAY, FOR BILL'S CAFE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The wait staff is exemplary. The cook can create the best country fried steak 🥩 and all of their offering are all homemade. Killer sausage gravy and the Cubans are great. We visit frequently several times a week. Thank you Mona and Dee for your first class service.

The cheeseburger was INCREDIBLE! I got mine with a side of tater tots but all the food around me looked just as good! HIGHLY recommended!

Delicious creamy cheesy grits and D is a great waitress. Very friendly place with great service and smiles. We will be back!

Went yesterday 4/13/2021 for breakfast. Our first time there. 24 hrs later I still can’t get over how perfect my eggs were. I’ve never seen an egg that perfect. Smooth and silky not runny at all. Just perfect. Potatoes were that great crispy yet soft and the biscuit. Omg the biscuit was so good. Roy you are perfection. Ramona our server was amazing. She gets you what you need and goes about her business and let’s you eat. Doesn’t come bother you 20 times while you’re eating to ask you how your food is. I hate it when they do that. All the way a five star. Now I can’t wait to try the lunch.

I came to visit my daughter, My goal while in Florida was to find the best Cuban sandwich, somehow my travels led me here, and they win the trophy, perfectly made and just right amount of everything, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.....

Ordered breakfast cubans, communication was sketchy. No egg. Told the waitress and she said we will make you new ones. We told her just put the egg on them and we will be good. The cook made us both new ones. We bought 2 shirts. We will definitely be back. If you haven't tried Bill's Cafe you really need to.

I love this place. It is a small hometown place with great food. We have been back several times. Mona was out first waitress and she was great! We drive from Winter Haven it is so good.
