Absolutely INCREDIBLE food and lovely service from a wonderful lady named Cathy. The restaurant was clean and ran smoothly. Like most importantly to most on reviews the food. Portions are nice sized, quality was fresh and taste OMGOODNESS so good. I got Fried Green tomatoes and a BLT with avocado and hubs got The Big 8 breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend this little spot. SO GOOD

Aaliyah is a Fantastic Server my hats off to her on the service she provided! Just discovered this restaurant today and will be coming back. It has this hometown feel that we love. The food we had was very well prepared and tasted real good. I recommend the Smothered Chicken myself. My wife has the chicken salad and she lived it. The bill was very reasonable! Thank you.

I always say when you go to a Dinner place that there’s a lot of elderly people waiting in line that means the food must be good. First time here and the place was crowded. We came on a Sunday and at first I didn’t want to believe when the lady told us that the wait would be 5 minutes. I was impressed how fast and efficient this place is. This place is amazing! Highly Highly recommended. PS (Don’t get intimidated about the line, they work fast. Trust me!) Best place in Lake Wales and everyone that works there are really nice and respectful.

Such good food and amazing service! The wait was only 15 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. They had great portions and friendly staff. A family run business doesn’t get better than this. Would highly recommend!

I think we found a new breakfast restaurant. The parking lot was packed so we thought we would have to wait but they have additional seating in the back. Restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Our waitress, Jesse, had a great personality. Food came out fast. I got stuffed French toast and my husband got a western omelette. Neither of us got up hungry and the food was delicious. Will definitely return when in the area.

This is a great local diner with very good homemade food. I have had both breakfast and lunch here and the food and service was great! Be prepared for a short wait to be seated at times but it’s worth the wait.

Best Diner in Lake Wales Period, And is the runner up for the best in POLK County, hands down. THIS PLACE IS A GEM. Definitely the place to bring family and have an authentic Diner experience. Customer service is world-class. I give them 10 stars.

Great Restaurant in Lake Wales! Came in last week with my family and we each enjoyed a sandwich and shared the fried green tomatoes. Personally, I loved the blt club sandwich and excited to go back soon!

Not bad at all for a Sunday lunch. Had the turkey club which was great and the coleslaw was good too. My brother had the southwest chicken salad and he said it was good too. It was busy when we got there but was seated within 5 minutes or less. Server was friendly and did a good job by checking up on us from Time to time. Will return when back in town.

Our waitress Katrina was phenomenal in every aspect! Went here for breakfast and was immediately served my coffee and treated my son like a rockstar which is very much appreciated. Food was like it was made at home and everything was delicious! Would definitely come back just because of the way our waitress made all of us feel! Would definitely come back! A+

I really enjoy going to the Lake Wales diner my sister and I love to go couple times a month on Fridays the food is always good The waitresses are always very friendly and prompt it's just an all-around nice place.

Great place for home-style food. I had the gyro today and would definitely recommend. Shepherds Pie was on the daily special board and my Dad said it was awesome. Our server was Shawna and she was very attentive, even though it was quite busy. She didn’t let us run out of tea and was spot on with food recommendations. We love this place!

For the couple of time being there by my self and with my kids very friendly service and fast food is always great and consistent!

Our waitress was one of the friendliest and most professional people who has ever waited on my family. My elderly mother loved her birthday lunch and we would love to come back soon! I have dined in world-class restaurants that could learn something from this amazing staff and ownership. FIVE STARS.

Food exceeded my expectations and the atmosphere was a fun throwback diner theme. I really liked the feel as soon as I walked in. We had a Greek omelette and pancakes and egg breakfast. My omelette was huge and the home friess were awesome, cooked crispy and full of flavor. To many places serve mushy tasteless potato chunks and call them home fries...not here!Prices are good and the portions were generous. On the way out I saw an incredible looking cheese steak on that I'm absolutely going to go back and order. Our server seemed really busy and we had to ask a few times before getting things, which was the only weak point in our dining experience. Overall, probably the best diner I've been to in the area and I will definitely stop again when I'm passing through.

You cannot buy better service and food. Y'all are great it is so nice going into a place and be treated like your at home these guys cater to everyone the service is the best and the food is unbelievable and a lot of it. If you leave hungry it's your own dam fault they give complimentary homemade soup with every purchase and I don't care what kind it is cause they all are excellent. And they always include my children by giving them a little token toy or gift every visit. Thanks to y'all for being like family and taking care of mine. And to anyone that likes steak and cheese sub it is really big and really yummy the best I've ever had.

I had the tuna sandwich would not recommend it to anyone even one of the employees told me their are several things on the menu she want eat and the Tuna sandwich was one of them

We've been stopping here on our return trip to the east coast after visiting family in Tampa and it's great. The food is excellent as is the service. The sandwiches are huge, tasty and at a great price too. Their breakfast can't be beat. I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a non-chain restaurant to stop and grab some lunch as I was passing through town and came upon this Restaurant. From the time I walked through the doors until I left the service was fantastic. I sat alone at the counter - I was immediately greeted, introduced to the specials, given some time to review the menu. Upon ordering I was offered a complimentary cup of lentil bean soup which I accepted and was absolutely delicious. I had the tuna melt offered on the specials menu with cole slaw and my entire meal came just as ordered and was very good. I will definitely stop next time I am in Lake Wales.

Awesome food and the nicest staff there is. The owner even gave my baby sister a toy when I brought her to eat. I never feel bad spending money here.

We had breakfast today for the first time and had an awesome experience. The lot was full but we were immediately seated and our food seem to take just five minutes after ordering. They even gave our kids toys! We were very pleased and will definitely be back often.

What an amazing place. The staff were amazing. they give toys to the kids as soon as we sat down. The kids get to take home the toys. The food was amazing. Best service. So glad we stopped here.

Last time I was there for lunch. Waitress was all about quantity as she was rushing us all through the meal to get more customers in. Even reaching across us to clean the table while we were still eating. No a good impression at all.

I have been to this restaurant numerous occasions and always enjoyed it except today. I pick there to meet someone I haven't see in yrs. as usual I'm always early. Meeting time was 11:30. I was there 15 minutes early. When I asked for a table for 4. I was asked is your complete party here. I explained that they would be here in a minute. Was told due to it being lunch hr they would sit me when rest of party showed up. If manny's was open I was headed there. My problem is there was no one behind me and I watched and randomly someone showed up. My husband is a disabled vet and has issues with walking but we waited. By the way my friends showed up before 11:30. I always enjoyed the food and reasonably priced. But it will be second thoughts before I go back.

Large standard diner menu, had greek om w hash browns. Everything cooked perfect. Was jealous of buddys lunch though. Great big hand pattied burger n fries. Hes still talking about it. Recommended

Service is great and the staff is super friendly.  Have even gotten hugs from the waitresses.    Never had anything I didn't like there and the prices are very reasonable.    The restaurant is exceptionally clean also.

Good Food, Good Service, Reasonable Price. This is a staple "go to" restaurant for me while wintering in Florida. The menu is extensive, the food well prepared, serving sizes are ample, and food is offered at a fair price. I have never had any issues with service and the staff have always been friendly to me. If you are from a part of the country where people love Diners, this is the place for you.

Good food, poor management service. I understand you're trying to run a business but you don't have to yell at your employees every two minutes to "LETS GO". This is very rude to your customers. So whoever you are, Mr skinny guy with edged up beard, you need to change your attitude or you will lose customers!!

One of a kind food & employees. We recently took our friend that has Parkinsons, to the restaurant and were seated in "Dina's" area. While I was trying to figure out how to help our friend with his meal without embarrassing him, she came up and took control of helping him and made it sound like the packages were too hard for everyone to open, so she always helps her customers. This allowed him to keep his dignity by not having his friends have to act like they noticed his issues. Aside from this, the food and owners are also fantastic, we have eaten just about everything on the menu and love it all. Where can you go that they still offer complimentary soup and put antiseptic hand cleaner on each table, without higher prices? It's these little things that make a restaurant and it's people indispensible to a Community. Thank you all at Lake Wales Family Restaurant.

Un-edible food, inaccurate orders and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After explaining our issue to the owner she told me "we are very busy" and never apologized.

Very good above average diner food.Friendly service;clean;Check out the many blackboard specials that include soup or salad, potato, veggies, and dinner rolls.Most under $10. Perfect stop enroute while traveling route 60 cross state.

Wow!. Our Harley Owner's Group did a riding weekend and I made arrangements for lunch here on Saturday for about 25 people. I was amazed at the organization, the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. They were ready and waiting for us, tables set up and 3 to 4 servers assigned. The food was really good and we were amazed this little family restaurant did what most South Florida restaurants can't (or won't) do - get 25 people in and out with no one left waiting for their food or their check.

What a nice clean restaurant !! Excellent food and fast service delicious complimentary soup was offered with our lunch.. The owners are very nice friendly people and they make you feel like home ! Love this place!

Good food, friendly service, clean restaurant!. We've lived in the area for over a year now, and we have been on the hunt for a family own restaurant that makes great food. We happened to drive by this place one Sunday afternoon, and I couldn't be happier! We both had soup and sandwiches, and they were great. The server was very friendly and knowledgable. I was impressed at how well put together the restaurant was. You could tell the restaurant was very clean, and that there is a very efficient system in place. I would absolutely recommend.

I eat here a couple times a week for breakfast Service always good! Food also, they are all very nice and make you feel like family, and make you want to return

Stopped for Sunday lunch. Did not get to the regular menu because the daily specials were numerous. Had the broiled seafood plate. Very good for $15. Fish, shrimp, scallops, crab cake, & stuffed mushroom.

Substantial Breakfasts.... We tried this roadside place on three occasions for breakfast, and came away satisfied. Pancakes were dense and filling, not the light fluffy ones I prefer, but good flavor. Eggs and Omelets need a light, patient hand to avoid that dreaded brown crust from too much heat, but that didn't spoil them, and they emerged with less of the dreaded bacon-grease effect than is common. The homefried potatoes were very good, with a touch of onion, and the grits (a favorite, and I'm fussy) were pretty good. Prices were reasonable as well. We haven't tried the lunches yet, but maybe we'll stop back.
