Great service and friendly staff. We didn’t have any problems the other reviewers encountered. We arrived at 6:15 with a party of 8. Seated right away, the waiter came and took our drink order within 5 minutes. Probably got our food within 20 - 25mins after placing the order. I ordered the Delmonico Steak med rare, but it came out med well. I mentioned to the waiter and he immediately ordered me a replacement. Once again no complaints at all. We did find out that they are shorted staff like everyone else. Normally a staff of 16, now down to 11. Never would have notice the night we were there. Also great view from their balcony outdoor seating.

I wish the waitress told us the portions were big. We practically took everything to go. Otherwise food was good.

the burger was supposed to be without cheese, the other burger was supposed to have no bun, the escargot was a big piece of bread, the chicken Mario came with no salad, and they completely forgot our last order. 6 dishes and not one of them was correct. Needless to say this was a really bad takeout experience. they charged a non-negotiable 20% gratuity for a child to take our order and give us a lot of sass. I don’t think I would ever recommend anyone to go eat here. Stewart’s has better service and better quality food for the price you pay. Cheers.

Always our favorite place to go for a nice "fancy dinner" when we're in Lake Placid. The food is always delicious and you'll never find a friendlier, harder working family running the whole show. The restaurant is usually bustling, but you'll always be treated like first priority. Times are not easy and help is scarce, but they never fail to keep customers happy!

The atmosphere was very nice...by the lake. Portions were large and served hot. My salmon was nicely cooked. It seemed overly seasoned. Wait staff were kind and friendly, though they seemed a bit disorganized. Our drinks were not refilled. The pricing was expected, a bit high. Overall experience was okay.

Good service. Got seated fast (and on the balcony) even though they were packed. Fast service. Our waitress was superb and the bussers were quick to remove dishes. Food was tasty. The crab cakes were stellar! Meals were just as good. Only criticism is to check your salt and pepper shakers, ours was too hard to shake out. Minor in my book. Still 5 stars.

Hands down the best restaurant we visited in Lake Placid. Food was great, portion sizes were huge (so bring your appetite) and drinks were phenomenal. The servers were very attentive even as they were hosting and bartending at the same time. Great view of the lake and outdoor seating is prime. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next night! Thanks Black Bear.
