Babica Hen has become my go to brunch and lunch spot. Great atmosphere, high-quality tasty food and consistently great service. We had our son's rehearsal dinner at Babica Hen this summer and it was a perfect evening. All our guests raved about the food, atmosphere and service. I'd highly recommend it for breakfast, lunch and special events. You won't be disappointed.
We first discovered this place last year when visiting over spring break. There’s a wait but it’s always worth it! The food was so fantastic that we had to come at least once this year before going back to Idaho.
The food is to-die-for delicious and the service is great! They are kind, polite, quick and attentive. We will definitely be back in the future! Thank you for playing a part in making memories with my family!
Has a unique menu of breakfast options. I tried the waffle lyonnaise with ham, an egg, hollandaise sauce and arugula. It was served with a side of fruit. We had to wait a few minutes to get a table and we were there before 9AM. The lattes were good and the service was efficient.
One of my favorite breakfast spots! Delicious waffle choices and eggs Benedict! Quality ingredients and cute ambiance. Get there early if you go on a holiday! Busy during breakfast! You will not be disappointed!
The service, with a smile, was very good and my first meal here (lunch) was very good although the portions are huge. I would like to come back to see if all is consistent with the first visit and may then raise to a 4.5 or ?
This quaint dining spot in Lake Oswego offers a bounty of tasty menu items from bacon waffles to chili inspired egg creations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service prompt and courteous. We were very pleased with our breakfasts and would definitely return when in the area again.

What a hidden gem (at least for me!). I've lived in lake Oswego for the last 2.5 years and never knew this place existed. It was only due to the boredom of going to the same places for brunch that we decided to try BHC. I'm SO glad we did!
There was about a 25 min wait or so on a Sunday afternoon. But you can get coffee while you wait. They have a great selection of sweet and savory waffles unlike anything I've ever seen before. The food is all locally sourced which makes it even better. We had the corned beef hash and the smoked pork scramble. My fiancée and I split them. The corned beef hash was much better thanks the smoked pork scramble but both were really good.
I also ordered the coffee cake and my fiancée ordered the cornbread. Both were to die for! Unreal!
I definitely look forward to going back to try some other things on the menu like the chicken and waffles. Looks amazing!

Love your restaurant! Had the most delicious oyster's for breakfast this a.m.. Would like information about your Chilean Red Oak Floor. Would like to find wood like this for my kitchen. Who can I contact? Janice Primus-Wickett... Message me on facebook please.
Great food and friendly service. Lines can be long but well worth the wait. Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and Pork Schnitzel with Chorizo gravy.
Great aesthetics. Fantastic food (both breakfast and lunch). I love sitting outside at BH, but the service outside is substantially worse than what you receive inside. Freshly squeezed orange juice is A+. Love me some BH.
Wonderful Birthday Breakfast. Birthday breakfast yesterday at this new cafe in Lake Grove (essentially Lake Oswego). Lovely, newly remodeled space--warm, inviting and friendly. More importantly, the food and service was wonderful. My husband enjoyed his Iron Miner's Breakfast--Potato hash, 2 farm eggs, raosted tomato, caramelized onion, cheddar, with chorizo gravy. But my Corned Beef Hash was hands down the best I've had in many years. Laden with lots of delicious, freshly cooked brisket and a side of sauce with a nice bit of horseradish, it was simply delicious. Took 1/2 of it home--generous portions is an understatement. They even presented me with a complementary and VERY YUMMY chocolate cupcake with a birthday candle. We will definitely be back. So many items to choose from. Based on this first visit, I'm sure the rest of them will be great.
Fantastic menu. Excellent food. I decided to have the Prawns and Polenta which were both prepared to perfection. 4 spoons!
A lot is made of wait times. What I found done well is the space they had for you "while" you wait. You weren't just standing out in the rain. Then it is worth waiting for? Everything about the food and experience was considered. From the ketchup (often just left to chance) to the ergonomics of the counter seats...and the height of the foot rail. This place is a strong philosophy and well executed plan from the moment you sit down. The bacon? Top notch....Coffee very good, eggs done perfectly and blueberry Amaretto jam. Who does that? Nothing pretentious about it either. Just good food, great staff in a cozy space. Well....cozy for a big place. Like I said, everything was considered. Nowadays people throw their hard earned money at any old place. This? This was a step back to a time when if you wanted to succeed in the food game you had give the customer a reason to spend that $$$ on your product. You had to deliver the goods. Babica Hen delivers and then some.
Had never been here before until today. It was pretty good, but there was one bummer. First as always, the wait for two was about 35 minutes, this was expected given the popularity of this place. The wait staff was very nice and attentive, from the hostess to about 3 different people that interacted with our table, all were very service oriented. The coffee was very good. So I ordered the salmon and avocado benedict, with potatoes requesting the potatoes to be crispy. The potatoes came out perfect, just as I like them. The benedict on the otherhand while tasty, was not even warm. More like room temperature, bordering on cool. It was still flavorful but a bit disappointing the salmon wasn't fresh grilled and even the poached eggs were cool. Very surprising at an upscale place such as this. My companion had a ham and cheese omelette they were quite happy with. There is an 18% service charge for all tickets regardless of party size which I didn't have a problem with given the service was good. Overall, good service, very attractive place, but the food was just alright, temperature being the concern in this case. I'd go back sometime for another chance, probably try something else.
Really great cafe. I would avoid/be prepared to wait to be seated during the weekend.service can be real slow when they’re busy. It’s a nice perk that you can order coffee and bread while you wait.
The eggs Benedict, waffles, biscuits & gravy are some of my favorite entrees to order here.
Quite a wait, so check Maps for how busy when you go. Friendly service, somewhat forgetful (but quite busy) of spoons for coffee, milk instead of cream - just little things.
Nice cup of decaf Illy coffee.
Braised beef waffle was absolutely delicious; chicken waffle was okay, little too thin and overcooked, and way too sweet for us.
The 15% mandatory tip...tipping is discretionary and, if this is a necessary supplement to their wages, pay them better rather than pushing this to your patrons.
Great spot to meet friends or dine with the family. Nice patio seating area for sitting outside but can be warm in the summer months before 10am as the sun sits low in the sky and there is not too much shade available. After 10, you should be OK with their umbrellas and other structures that provide shade. The wait can be long, this isn't a large place but it's popular. The food here is really great. We had their avocado and salmon eggs benedict, and their chicken and waffles paired with their banana almond waffles. Both were really good. Also, their coffee is Illy, which is amazing and offer real cream and sugar along with the ability to do espresso drinks. The salmon eggs Benedict was amazing, and came with pickled onions which went really well with the dish. The waffles are fairly sweet but really good. Their chicken and waffles remind me of Hawaii with its coconut flavor. Highly recommend!
A rare gem of a brunch spot. Everything was spectacular. On par with Chart House for quality of food. Pick anything, I will be eating here again.

Nice breakfast and lunch place in LO. The Cinnamon Rolls are amazing, my eggs Benedict was delicious and the schnitzel was good if just a little under seasoned. Atmosphere is warm, cozy and spacious with room outside for when the weather gets better. Service was prompt and frequent.
Tried the almond dream waffles, chocolate berry waffles and their Lake Grove breakfast scramble. They all tasted delicious, especially the almond dream waffles!
Wait time is expected between 20-45 minutes anytime you go. There’s no reservations, it’s first come first serve. No heated patios. So we couldn’t take our pup with us, which was disappointing, otherwise, great place to hang out!
We came for late breakfast/ brunch. We both had the salmon Benedict, which was good but kind of bland. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and delicious. I also ordered a waffle on the side to try. Unfortunately it was cold, fortunately they have real maple syrup which is a plus for me. The servers and hostess were friendly and efficient. Overall I didn't feel like the food lived up to the hype. The bloody Mary was good but everything was pretty pricey.
Super busy place, so make reservations.
Food was good but service could have been a bit better.
Waffles were yummy and cream was fresh. Wife liked avacadol toast, it was ok for me. Country potato were cut a little big but the flavoring was really good. Loved the hot chocolate.
