Lindell Chocolate Shoppe - Lake Linden - Photo album

We went here for breakfast on our way out of town. Very cool old building with original seats and tile. Staff was nice. Food was very good. They even offer gluten free bread dog toast. Several breakfast specials for $7-$8 with coffee included. Very interesting atmosphere. Good food, real eggs!
I cannot review the food as it appears owners and menu has changed since I have been here last. The physical building is just amazing and worth experiencing. I am looking forward to trying the new menu the next trip up. Nice to see that a full menu is being served here!
Really cool restaurant. Gorgeous and historical inside. Cash or check only. Biscuits and gravy was worth getting, but not the best. I think I'll try the hash browns next time. The fridge is around 80 years old which is really cool...
Great stop while I was in the area. Great food, excellent service, and great prices (cash or check seem to be the only currency accepted). Really enjoyed the rustic feel of the place while eating with my daughter. Note that they do have desserts, but not chocolates as the historic name might imply.
Lindell's is always a fun place to visit. This last time we had breakfast and it was wonderful (especially the bacon). I also had scrambled eggs and a Belgian waffle - however it was more of a classic waffle. The dining area is so unique, pictures can't do it justice. It has custom designed booth
Great food and staff was friendly. Like walking into a little musem. They had all sorts of fun historical facts to read about. The restaurant itself was like stepping back in time. Loved it!
It's just what I'm looking for when I visit a small town family owned restaurant. Good food, good portions, friendly waitstaff, and eclectic surroundings. I visit the area regularly from downstate and always enjoy having breakfast at Lindell's. I'd recommend it if you're visiting the area or live th
Rare find! WWI vintage arts and crafts style interior. A true ice cream parlor from the old days. Ice cream products are very good. Try the Shirley Temple Float. Breakfast good. Prices very, very reasonable... Good service. You can not pass this up. Good experience!
Great Breakfast! Incredible historic building, and a wonderful place to visit.
Historic place to eat breakfast. Lacking in chocolates to be called a chocolate shop. They only had a mounds, almond joy, or peanut butter cup. Homemade of course. Breakfast was good and reasonable, but the toast was burnt and dry.
This is a really fun place to stop, it's amazing how much the building has been maintained. The food is almost shockingly cheap so I didn't have high hopes, but was really impressed! And of course, had to get a malt with my burger. Fair warning it's a cash only restaurant.
Cute, historical restaurant with great food and service. We make this part of our annual summer trek on the way to Copper Harbor
Nothing like a home cooked meal, that makes ya miss your mamas cooking 🙂 Love me some french toast & Vollwerths sausage patties 🥰
I’ve been doing a personal “best biscuits and gravy” (and ham) tour (as I bounce around the u.p for work) and this place is top 5!! Not just for B&G but everything else I’ve ever had there. Also very affordable! Neat historic building and always friendly wait staff.
Super friendly, super unique... Amazing food n friends
Great lot time restaurant. Good prices. Good food.
Love the old soda fountain booths. Awesome breakfast, fast service, low prices
