Absolutely incredible experience. As a native New Orleanian, I take my Cajun claims very seriously. These folks were spot on! If you're looking for a great seafood restaurant that specializes in Louisiana type cooking, in the Freeport area, this place is hands down the ideal location.
My guy & I dined here this evening after an ahhhmazing time at the Fall Equinox Festival (you should’ve been there lol), and it was SO good! We had a crawfish poboy & crawfish combo (fried crawfish & crawfish étouffée)! & also tried the Cajun egg rolls & alligator nuggets for appetizers & N.O. Style
Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. We had fried pickles, pistolettes, fried catfish and fried shrimp po'boy. The catfish and shrimp were not only well fried, but both were very flavorful as well. Catfish was very generously sized fillets with excellent crispy crunch. The pistolettes wer
Oh my, this is one cute little restaurant! The decor is wonderful, you feel like you've stepped right into New Orleans. Our server was very sweet and professional. The food was delicious and quite the selection! The drinks were very good and their dessert is awesome. Definitely recommend this place.
We eat there today for lunch for the first time. We had the buffet and we where very happy with it its very good. The gumbo was excellent also. Plenty of selections but the best part for me is that they had frog 🐸 legs so I was especially happy. 11/26/23

As someone from Louisiana it is hard to find authentic Cajun style food outside of the state. This is the most authentic Cajun style food I have had in the area including Houston area. The service was great, food was great, and drinks are very good. I highly recommend trying this place out. And also
We arrived about an hour before the buffet was closing so I did not have extremely high expectations but I was nicely surprised.. All of the food was hot and there was plenty of everything. The service was good and the selection was abundant. All of the food was very tasty, not quite as spicy as I
We had dinner last night at Swamp Shack after fishing at the beach. The food was amazing and so good. The waitress and owner were very friendly and check on us several times. I will be back to enjoy another dinner or lunch next time we head to beach to go fishing.
The service and people here are awesome. My wife and I have a good experience every time we eat here. We have tried several things and everything has been very good.
The alcohol drinks here are also very good (and some of the names of them are hilarious) if you are looking to grab a drink.
Literally a staple of the restaurant spots in Lake Jackson. We have to go here at least once every couple of months. Gator bites, Mac and cheese balls, jalapeno gravy 🤤 heck yes! Never had bad service here and they crush it with the seafood!
We've eaten here twice. Loved it. Shrimp and oysters. Shrimp poor boy. Shrimp and crab gumbo. They have 4 or 5 different gumbo. They have plates, sandwiches and a buffet on Sunday noon. Yum!
From the moment parking the car we feel excited to see so well decorated local. I loved the big crocodile painting above the entrance.
Inside, the atmosphere was warm and enjoyable . All around is wood ( floors, walls and ceilings), like in a “Shack”, and all decoration was perfectly chosen. The
