Great food! If you like spicy - this is the place to go. Will definitely be back. Husband and I enjoyed the papaya salad and thai tea 🫖
I loved this place! The atmosphere is cozy and tranquil. I didn't eat a single thing that I didn't enjoy. The wait staff were friendly and on point! Our tea glasses were never empty, our orders were promptly taken, and our entrees and main course came out quickly. I definitely will be returning to sample more of their menu.
It was very upscale inside with cloth napkins and stemmed glasses. Cute bench seating along one wall and classic music playing softly. We expected the prices to be higher so we were pleasantly suprised to see everything about equal to Panda express down the road. We had an Shrimp rolls, Pad Thai and Garlic Pepper Stir fry. All of it was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. They offered a tray with numerous levels of heat and flavor to add to your meal at your own discretion. However I heard several customers when ordering ask for their entr to be spicier or less spicy. I thought the heat level was perfect for the average person so if you like Hot ask for it. If you do not like spicy ask for it toned down just a bit. I really love the fresh greens and vegetables in Thia food and they did a perfect job representing that. The service was equally as great never wanted for anything and dishes came out in a timely manner. Very enjoyable, we will definitely be back!
Big Thai is always one of my family’s favorite places to go for dinner when we come to town! The portions are huge and we often have enough leftover for lunch the next day. The service is always fast and the servers are so nice and helpful! The Thai Dumplings are our favorite appetizer and they are very flavorful. I took a picture of my brother’s and my plate. He had the Drunken Noodles with beef and I had shrimp Pad Thai. Both were delicious! You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here!
Everything is great! No complaints at all...top notch service, great price and portions, very relaxing environment, very clean & sanitary!!
The Bison Curry is really good . It is special menu right now at Bigthai restaurant . They also have another special menu. It is The Sword Fish with the three flavors sauce and the basil leaves sauce. They also have The Crispy Duck with the basil sauce is really really good if you love to eat the duck but if like the curry. You can order it with the pine apple curry.
I’ve been driving 100 miles round trip just to eat out in Houston but don’t have to anymore. This gem of a find is owned by and cooked by Asians (assuming Thai). The papaya salad is the best I’ve had from a restaurant PLUS they have an entire PAGE OF VEGAN options (all curries and stir fries can be made vegan). I’ve already been back twice.
We love eating here at Big Thai! We usually get three entrees and share them. Our favorite so far is the pad zee ew, the drunken noodles (which is pretty much the same thing but spicy) and the crab fried rice, which has huge lump crab meat in it! The flavors are amazing and the portion size is large enough for sharing. I love all the fresh veggies in the dishes as well. You can’t get fresher!
Amazing! My wife and I split the pho tak soup and crispy duck and leave elated. The place is very nice and clean. Atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. The food is simply amazing, a little spicy but not enough that ny sensitive wife can't handle it.
The Vegan Options here are FIRE! So good!
Looking to get a good Thai fit met?.. this is the place to go!
They have an amazing hand full of vegan options.
Here is the Tofu Yellow Curry w/ a side salad of dairy free ginger sauce.
Highly recommend!
Big Thai is a little pricey on the coin scale; def a great date spot or maybe you're in a "Treat Yo Self" moment..
Here are some of there other Vegan Options:
Fried Rices: Tofu| Thai Style & Spicy Style
Curry: Green, Red, Yellow, Panang, & Massaman
Pad Thai: no eggs.
Many great options.. ENJOY!
Can't wait to go back! Yummmm..
Solid Thai food. The coconut milk soup is so-so but the beef salad is excellent! Pad Thai is above average. Not the best I’ve had by any means but I’ve certainly had worse. Always been friendly
Very good place for a nice dinner or a quick lunch. The food comes out very fast for lunch but is still freshly made. The dishes I find are very tasty but not too heavy so you don’t feel guilty after you eat here.
This place is the cream of the crop of Thai food! I've been visiting for takeout at least twice a week for a couple months and at least once a month since they opened. They never disappoint!! Love the servers, they are super friendly and sweet. The place is super clean and they really take pride in their fresh ingredients and the preparation of their food. I've been to lots of Thai places in Houston and NONE compare. All of Big Thais soups are phenomenal, their appetizers, curries, pad see ew, crab fried rice, coconut cake and much more. I'm about to go warm up my leftovers now just talking about it!!! Yummmmm!!!!
Good size portion. Curry is a bit too sweet. Drunken noodle can use less oil.

What a great lunch. We don't come often but when we do the food is generally great!!
Great place. Good was tasty and service was great
Excellent meal. I had the special which was a basil crunchy duck. HUGE serving, more than enough to fill me up. The duck was cooked PERFECTLY and the sauce was mild and complemented the dish well. (I like spicy, I should have asked for a spicier sauce).
There's no kids menu, but the spring rolls were happily devoured by our 6yo.
The sweet and sour pork was excellent.
Cashew Stir Fry was also excellent.
Decor is cozy and intimate (a.k.a. dark and small) but not uncomfortable.
Prices were excellent for the serving sizes and quality of food.
Service was top notch. I don't think my tea ever got below 1/4 before being refilled. Very friendly and on top of it.
Bathrooms were very clean.
We will be back.
