My wife and i were on a road trip without dogs and wanted a pet friendly environment for lunch. It was about a 10 min off course from I-10.
We read "bad" reviews that made us chuckle.
We order boudin balls, Cajun Mac n cheese, and sliders.
The boudin balls were good but not as spicy as we would like. The dipping sauce was perfect for them though.
The sliders were not pretty but the meat was perfect and seasoned well.
The Mac n cheese was absolutely 10 out of 10! Good Cajun spice and flavor.
Atmosphere was super nice and plenty of room for pups to join. Outdoor seating has plenty of shade for all times of daylight.
We will definitely be back on future road trips!
The food has consistently gone down hill since Rikenjaks has opened, BUT the atmosphere and the staff are always awesome. Drinks are great, people a great and it’s a great family oriented place with frequent live music either outside or inside. It’s on my recommend list but not if you’re looking for the best food in Lake Charles.

I was impressed by it all the Scenery with the fire pits burning on this real cool evening from the waiter offering the best beers Also the best food and appetizers I had an amazing time and I recommend anyone who wants to enjoy and bring their kids off bring their kids also their animals this is the place to be
