Review California Thai Cuisine - Lake Arrowhead

The food is very good and service was amazingly fast. Less than 5 minutes from ordering to eating. The female waitresses were very attentive, removing dishes and glasses we were finished with moments after we set them at the edge of the table. -1 star because we asked to be seated the window and were seated there by the female hostess, but part of the view was blocked, so I moved the table maybe 6" which wasn't blocking any for traffic and she didn't complain. However, a minute or two after we sat down, a male waiter rudely told me to move it back. I asked if it was a problem due to fire code, but the only reason he gave was because it didn't line up with the table across the isle. I nearly left, but my wife had already ordered some drinks. Also, it's a bit expensive compared to the Thai place we usually go to.

Not sure why everyone else has had a bad time, but we love this place. The service has been great, (we have gone there 3 times in the past month) and the food is awesome. I get the pad see ew and it's delicious. We recently tried the sushi and it was some of the best we have had on the mountain.

We went for a late lunch. The service was good ( the restaurant wasn't very busy). The atmosphere & decor were very pleasant; our table had a view of the lake, which was nice. We started with a very tasty spicy crab roll and an order of gyoza, also very good. Then we had some tomyum soup with shrimp - not bad but nothing special - and finished with the Flaming Salmon roll (sushi) which was very good. All in all, we'll be back, though i probably would skip the tom yum soup in favor of sushi or trying something new.

After years of not willing to wait for the long wait we got in for an early dinner on a cold February night and we were not disappointed! The Chicken Pad Thai was really good and a generous portion. The Orange Chicken was ti die for....very crispy and only lightly battered served with a jasmin rice and a sweet orange glaze. Both highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere but service was terrible. We ordered chicken satay as our appetizer but it was undercooked, so we had them take it back and didn't want it. Our main dishes came out but no plates or utensils were given. Some dishes were very tasty but others were very sub par. At the end, they charged us for the undercooked satay and had to remind the waiter how we sent back the undercooked chicken.There were only two waiters taking care of the place...very disorganized. We will not be coming back again.

This is the worst Thai kitchen I've been to. The waiters were very impolite and when we asked to see the manager we were informed that she was hiding in her office, the reason we requested to see her was because when we ordered our drinks which weren't a free refill 80% of that was ice and when we asked if we could get a new one they told us that we could but their POLICY stated that 75% of the cup shall be ice. Terrible service

One of the worst places I have ever been service wise. It took us 30 minutes just to get served drinks, and the whole time we were there we never got offered refills for our drinks. However, the food was actually very good, as long as you can stand having bad service. The last thing was the the sushi was old and disgusting, pretty much equivalent to gas station sushi. They never even apologized once for how big of an inconvenience they were to us

We love California Thai, great food and the service is always fast and friendly. Love the chicken saute, Pad Thai, the coconut soup, outstanding. We've been going there for the last 3 years, at least 3 times a month, and we love sitting outside with the amazing view of Lake Arrowhead and the mountains!
