Review Golden Corral - Lafayette

Came in with a party of 9. Was able to be seated right away. Server collected our dri KS and away we went to make plates. With the biggest selection of items imaginable, the combinations are endless. The price accommodates the variety and quality of dishes we just consumed..will very much be coming.

Lunch buffet worths the money. I wish I could come with my friends, but I was alone this time. Variety of the food is great and if you are a meat lover you like it. I liked their slow cooked beef the most but rest were great too. Some salads are awesome and overall good options for healthy food too. Dessert is what I didn't test because I was full but they have some cakes and pies and cookies. Good buffet In Lafayette and worth to come from college to here in a weekend. It is very close to bus stop too which is important for me.

11/17/2019 If i could I would post ZERO 🌟 STARS. THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE AND COLD. THE CHICKEN WAS PINK ON THE INSIDE AND THE BAKED FISH WAS COLD. THE CORN ( not on the cob) HAD A METALLIC TASTE( anyone up for penny flavoured corn.. gross).. Alot of the servers were super nice 👌 but the food was AWFUL !!!!! Update 12/13/2021 :::so okay let's talk about being overpriced. Dirty silverwarethat are supposed to be clean & sanitized for our protection yet even the cups are dirty.. They need a meat thermometer to tell when the chicken 🐔 should be cooked and not pink.Their rolls are dry and greasy..The steaks were fatty .The waitress didn't pay attention until I said I was going to be giving a review . The bathroom was disgusting, there was a toilet that kept running and staff did not care and was like oh it does this every 6 months. There was fecal matter on the toilet seat... The baby changer was not safe as the belt was broken. The toilets are not being flushed and it's gross.. What became a family outing 🤔 ended up being a unhappy 🙁 experience yet again... this is now accountable of validity of a review......

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant/buffet in my life. The food was dry flavorless and overcooked. The desert bar was a mess especially the ice cream machine. This once prominent establishment has fallen hard over the years. When I was at the Merrillville location back in 2017 everything was on point. Great food good service. People working the grill. Whoever is running this franchise needs to step it up in regards to food service. The customer service side of things was good. The servers were nice. The actual food and the state of the desert bar was absolutely horrible. No way I'd ever eat here again.

Food was good. The inside of restaurant needs a huge upgrade as its run down/dingy The restrooms were a nightmare, the women's was the worst I've seen. It looked like a truck stop as the toilets were filled with tp and feces; there was also pee on the ground/seats and the soap dispenser was barely hanging on the wall. The men's room was also gross but not as bad as the women's. Also, on a side note, the waitress we had was awesome.

Terrible service. Waitress was hanging out chatting with people. No silverware for a while. Then asked for a refill she stopped and chatted with two more people. Didn’t find any food that was fresh or hot. My last trip there. Went to one in Indy not long ago. Fantastic

Very nice and clean, food was fresh and hot and everything was wonderful.

Very disappointed this time. There pop machine was broke. Only had tea. Kids didn't like that option. Food was always out on the buffet. There was very little desserts to choose from. The only good thing about the whole visit was our waitress. She was very attentive.

This Golden Corral is by far the cleanest and has wonderful server's! My drink was filled 3 time. The price was in line with other steak houses plus Vet's get a nice discount! When I compare their steak with other steak houses it's well worth it! My favorite is the beef stew and all the sweets with that sweet little girl at the bakeshop, "Honey"!

We love going there! We drive over a hour to just eat there. And of course we go to Chuck E. Cheese after lol. But good food. Clean and staff is always nice

Anytime I'm down in Lafayette we love to go eat at Golden Corral. I have always found the restaurant very clean everybody's been very nice very professional I've been going there for years. But I will have to say I think it was around the first or second week of July I'm not sure where we went down to Lafayette to eat at the Golden Corral and it was just a little different this time I recognized the female manager I seen her when we first came in I don't know what happened to her but I never seen her again at all. I also noticed the doors with your glass had finger marks all over not real bad but bad enough that I noticed because I've never seen that place starting to get nasty. There was a lady that came in with a bell for children I would say they were all under ten for sure. My friend noticed her daughter who probably was about 8 or 9 went over there to the pizza picked up a slice with her fingers and put it back down and then got a different piece. My friend didn't tell me that story until after we were out of the restaurant because that pissed me off and I wish you had told me because I would have said something. Anyway we were sitting buy the desserts and I seen the son of that same lady who is probably 10 come over to where the new plates are and put a regular size dinner plate back it was either blue or purple and if that wasn't bad enough he walks off towards his mother comes back gets another plate on Orange Place and goes on to get some desserts. So I did not say anything to the child because that's exactly what he is a child the mother was not watching what he was doing or any of her kids and the people that go around and clean the tables and bring you drinks they don't notice anything they just look around I don't know how they don't pay attention. Anyways the soon as I seen that plate saying happening and the kids left I told the guy he was cleaning the tables on our side what he had done and how it was unsanitary that he fingered up the plate and then puts it back so all the guy did was took the purple blue plate off he never said thank you for telling me and letting me know matter of fact it seemed like he copped an attitude that I even said anything. So my suggestion because I do love the restaurant so much they have great food everything I'm starting to think maybe you need better management and better training with the people that do the tables to pay attention and the people who were up there at the food when they see a child come up there by themselves they need to say I'm sorry you have to have a parent with you and start posting on the doors and everywhere else you can think of a parent must be with the child when getting food because it's become and nasty and unsanitary there I'm starting to get very disappointed. I wanted to make sure I told somebody about the Lafayette Golden Corral before it gets out of hand and they end up closing the place.

The food isn't great. Even though they have a variety, nothing tasted awesome to me. Desserts were yummy! But I would have liked a proper meal; salad, main dish, dessert.

Great food, server was prompt Everytime we needed refill on drinks it was clean

Food was fine service was unbelievably bad worst I have ever had there! Manager was rude and we will never go back there!

It's is what it is....a buffet, I would suggest that to not allow kids to have or purchase the little bouncy balls you have in the vending machine in your restaurant until they are leaving the restaurant, kids bouncing and throwing them balls back and forth between tables and them bouncing off my legs and ankles made for a ruined Mothers Day meal, better yet just remove the toy machine, I understand that kids will be kids but....Golden Corral is not a playground. Parents control your kids and teach them some manners.

This place sucks...the managers are rude and and the food has hair in it. Some of the food tastes old

This Golden Corral is the best, friendliest, cleanest I've seen and we have been to a few different ones.

If you go on Saturday you are charged a higher price for the same food $13.49 with senior discount.

I love,love golden coral, the best food ever. Everyone is friendly, waitresses are sweet.
