Review Culver's - Lafayette

Karen Stretch
The only reason I am giving two stars is because the young man at the counter was polite and all of the young folks in the front were doing the best they could to keep up. We eat Culvers in Ohio all the time so was excited to swing through on way home from Chicago. Terrible. And it was so packed it wasn't even worth going back in for a refund because of the wait. Literally sitting in the drive through at McDonald's which is a pretty sad trade off.

Used to work here in high school and it’s a great franchise. They care about customers but sometimes I wonder if it’s too much for their workers. It’s always a little wait, which Is no problem since food is usually warm and fresh but I can’t hide the fact I’ve been let down the last 2 times I was there. Most recent being getting a burger with no patty. Come on now. Update: I reached out after calling and having been told I’d receive a coupon, which I never did, and after sending them a lengthy email directly to the store I still did not get an answer back. I’m officially never going back.

Best frozen custard in the town! I tried the vanilla flavour with berries and brownie. And more than that, amazing, sweet and polite service from these people. I also love their pretzel bites with cheese.

Super slow. Usually 6 to 8 vehicles waiting when we go. I have loved Culver's food for many years but this location puts their name to shame. Typically forget something on the order or forget something on the burger. The burger this time was actually cold. I've included a picture of my double bacon deluxe. Looks just like on TV. NOT even close.

Fresh, filling, not bad priced. The wait wasn't terrible. My son said the spicy chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich he's ever had. Love the cheese curds. Definitely recommend eating here.

Ordered a salad for the first time and it was a good portion and delicious. Plus they didn't charge me for two extra dressings as if one, one ounce cup would be enough for their huge salad. Hey Cane's, get with Culver's program on giving sauces! 🥴

This is my family's go-to spot when we want to get a quick bite to eat or are on the road. The kids' meals here are nothing to sneeze at, and there's no shame if someone a bit older gets one.😉 For a bit extra the cheese curds and pretzel bites are delicious! EDIT: Moved down to four stars after a poor customer service experience today.

Always delicious, I always hope I make it in time to get the walleye pike. Filets are huge, nicely breaded (seasoned just right and not 5 pounds of breading), the fish is truly the star from start to finish. If you've never had this fish before, Culver's is the perfect place to try it. It's very seasonal though, so if you see they have it, get it. It may be gone your next trip there.

My fiance and my 5 yr old went there for lunch. My son said it was the yummiest chicken in the world. We had wonderful service and excellent food!!

Jeanee needs to be retrained to treat customers better when taking orders at the counter. We were there Wednesday, 2/14/18, at 3:00pm and she was rude and had a bad attitude! Its ridiculous to expect this from a old grown woman. If you don’t like working with the public, then find other employment! Food is good but she makes it hard to enjoy a good meal! It’s customer service that makes a person’s day or ruins it.

Amazingly fast, very polite and cheerful staff. Great burger and ice cream sundae at a reasonable price.

Yesterday (10/21/16) was our 12th and most likely final visit to this location. We've always enjoyed Culver's and it's brand. The menu offerings are, for the majority, of high quality and value. The trouble is with the staff at this specific location (Lafayette, IN). Throughout all of the various visits we made to this location, not a single order was ever completed (a) In an expedited manner or (b) In a correct manner. There was consistently at least one detail of the order that was fouled up. At times, ordered items were left off the order, switched with a different patron, or neglected entirely. Adjustments were made when these instances were noted to the management. However, enough is enough. I would strongly recommend that a corporate representative is sent to this location for observation. Due to the abnormal employee turnaround at this restaurant, it would seem fair to note that training protocols might need to be reviewed as well as reinforced.

Found a hair in my sourdough burger, the manager said she'd get another one right out for me. That took 10 minutes or better and when it did come, the bread was greasy and looked like it had been rushed through the toaster/grill. Fries were OK but loaded with salt. Only thing that was decent was the concrete. I know we had several people in our party and it was pretty much in a rush period, but seriously, step your game up. Saw too many people either taking orders at the register or just standing around. Unacceptable, and I work in a customer service oriented company.

Service was good. We used a peeler and had no problems ordering. And we got our food with-in a few minutes, the drink and condiment area looked good. The food was good. Overall everything was good.

Well I'm very disappointed I give places more chances because I know that some days or just an off day but since the new owners have taken over the look is nice but customer service needs to take the front . I know when I would go in and See the pretty blonde haired lady who was very sweet and always on top of her game it look like it was a family working together and there was a young man I think his name was Josh he was very personable and made it a point to come out and speak to people none of the main staff is left and it shows my food was cold it took 15 minutes to the drive through my son wind up getting out and having to go in for it they couldn't find it. We lucked out with getting whatever was on the counter. Another time I went and I took my granddaughters and we were just getting ice cream the wait was ridiculous and it was not because there was a lot of people in line it just looks like they don't know what they're doing The final straw was when I went through the drive-through alone to get a snack pack and found a hair in my french fries not my color... ALL done!

The previous owners Mike & Linda Jordan who recently retired ran an excellent business. Service has drastically went down hill! Any well run business is all about the mangement and their staff!

Ordered the deluxe snack pack and went to take a bite and a long hair was hanging out of the sandwich

I swore the last time I ate at Culver's would be my last time. I bought a peeler and decided to try it and again I swear I will not go back. Went thru the drive thru and the fries were nasty and cold. My cheeseburger was cold and burnt. Culver's had some of the best root beer, not this time tasted like root beer water. NEVER AGAIN!!

Culver's is a great place. Every sandwich I've ever had has been delicious, as are their fries. The Concrete Mixers are way better than blizzards!! Their service is fast and friendly. Sometimes their tables need to be cleaned up faster, though.

My experience with Culvers was horrible, the burgers are very greasy, the service was extremely slow, and some of the employees have bad attitudes, however the ice cream is really good if you can stand to wait 20 minutes or more just to get a sundae, and this was when they was not busy, could only imagine how long I would have waited if they had been busy,

BUTTERBURGERS. Don't kid yourselves, Five Guys. You'll never improve on the Midwest's own perfection.

Frozen custard- a real Midwestern treat. Had a mini concrete -reeses peanut butter cup. It was delicious and big enough that I was glad I didn't get the small.
