Food is still delicious. I would have rated it 5 stars if it weren't for the disastrous service.
The waitress preferred to chat with her colleagues than order food for us. Spent almost two hours here just to get a few grills. Definitely a good place to waste your precious time. I think myself as a generous and kind person, but for the first time in my life, I don't even wanna put any amount on the tip section.

Cozy little place with good service. Their special ramen was flavourful but a little salty. The pork buns were too dry, might have been reheated in the microwave. The hot peach green tea was presented well with cute little sake cups.

Overall it’s a bit too salty for the broth. The volcano ramen taste more of chilli powder instead of spicy and tasty. I don’t think that is nailed well. I love the small plates a lot tho. I would expect more soup but less salty for the broth generally speaking.

I loved the veggie spicy ramen and the Veggie Combo Grill! A little expensive but they provide good quantity! The Ramen is super filling! Cute little ambience! Authentic!

I have been to this place more than a couple times, and it’s never failed me. Always blasted with the flavour I think I deserve and as a proud asian, I love the beautiful food they serve. The presentation, the colors and the flavours just blend into this gorgeous delectable bowl of soupy ramen; it’s the best way to treat yourself to a meal that won’t leave your taste buds unsatisfied.

Meal I ordered was superb, had so much flavor. Location is very cozy, stylish and fun. Staff was just awesome. You must stop here if you are close.

The vegetarian spicy ramen is amazing! It's artistic to look and tastes heavenly. The ambience is good and the food is usually served soon. The staff is very friendly too! Best Ramen in Lafayette for sure!!

my ramen came with a little guy (woodear mushroom) :) very nice experience overall, fast service & dining is very private! however, there are no vegetarian options

The overall atmosphere and ambiance captured the feel of a Japanese ramen shop, despite being in downtown midwest.
The normal hiccups of a new restaurant, with lots of waiting and a lack of space, but offset by friendly and attentive staff.
Their signature dishes, bowls of various ramen, were excellent. A couple "virgins" in our group were lucky to have their first real ramen be of such good taste.
Edamame was very good.
Karaage was very good.
Everyone enjoyed the gyoza, even though it appeared to have been purchased, not made.
Tako wasabi was a delicious surprise on the menu.
Grilled items, overall, were mediocre at best. The biggest issue was what seemed to be an explosion of seven spice. Enoki mushrooms managed to survive the shower, thankfully. Secondly, grilled items, other than the mushrooms, were lacking in quantity, especially the torikawa. I'm used to much more than 3 undercooked squares of about 1 square inch each on my sticks.
Maybe add some spicy moyashi to the menu.
Even though we're devout carnivores, we love a heaping plate of sizzling sprouts, properly sauteed and seasoned. (my mouth just watered, thinking about the next trip across the pond)
In sum, the ramen was enough to earn a high rating and a plan for a return visit.
Pick up your grill game a bit or give it up to focus on expansion of the ramen you've mastered.
Now, if you could find a way to smuggle in some Yebisu black for me...

The most delicious ramen I've had outside of Japan. Noodles were cooked to perfection, broth was rich and not oily, soft boiled egg had an amazing yolk, the pork slices were just bursting with savory flavor... I would definitely recommend the Shoyu ramen.
Service was great even while packed to the brim with people. I loved the interior design. I hope Yatagarasu stays for a very long time. If you sell merchandise, I'll be the first in line to buy them!!

It's the perfect place for dinner on a cold Indiana night. We had noodle bowls, edamame, appetizers from the grill, hot tea, and sake. Everything was delicious and the servers and kitchen staff were friendly and fun. Can't wait to go back!

Second time ever in a ramen shop and the best by far. So many different flavors and textures in one bowl. Really really good.

Had an excellent experience today! We are no strangers to a quality ramen and this really exceeded our expectations! The spicy ramen was amazing and our server Matthew was quite pleasant and knew the menu well. We will definitely be making this a regular spot!

New favorite place in town. Tonkotsu ramen is top notch! Takoyaki we're also delicious. Be prepared for a wait to be seated as they're hot thing right now. But food comes fresh, hot, and very quick!

I'm happy to see downtown Lafayette diversifying its food options, and this casual Japanese spot is nearly perfect. The ramen is delicious, as are the edamame and brussel sprouts and the pricing is very reasonable. It's quickly turned to one of my favorite places.

Some of the best ramen I've had. The staff is attentive, food comes out quick, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious ramen bowls, delicately flavored tea, and a nice black sesame mochi ice cream for dessert. We will be back!

Excellent food, a very different, New, and enjoyable restaurant experience for Lafayette. Spicy Miso Ramen was my favorite of the four we ordered (my friends and Is first visit). Have more to try on next visit.

From the decor to the service to the delicious food, it was perfect. My first experience eating ramen was in Japan. This taste just like it. Very authentic.

Really enjoyed the Ramen I got, so many more to try. However, for me will be difficult. Furniture is low and not designed for us mature folks. But I will go again!

What a lovely addition to downtown. I stopped in today for lunch with my baby daughter, and I sampled their delicious miso ramen. YUM! Next time I'll brave the spicy miso ramen, I believe. The service was excellent, too. Best wishes! Looking forward to a return trip!

I lived in Japan for 9 years, and the tonkotsu (pork) ramen was really authentic!
