I've been to both locations and the food is the same at both. The ambience is nicer at the Johnston Street location. Everything I've personally tried is delicious, especially the baleadas and mojarra frita. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the carnitas, unless you're into lots of fat pieces in your meat. The barbacoa is excellent.

My meal was delicious 😋. The chips and Salas was different and evenly delicious...very different from other Hondureña/ Mexican restaurants I ever tried. The host and waiter were very welcoming and sweet. Thanks for a great experience.

My first time here and the tacos was just right. I got the marinated pork and steak. It was fresh and the corn tortillas had a nice crisp. The staff is very friendly. Definitely will going back again.

My FAVORITE place in Lafayette to get tacos! The beef tongue is to die for. The tamales are also cooked in banana leaves rather than corn husks, giving an interesting flavor. The drink selection is poppin and the PRICES?!? You can eat like a KING here for $20. Can't recommend enough! La Papa Loca for life!

La Papa Loca has moved to a bigger and better location! The food is as good as ever, service is fast and friendly. Everything is fresh and prepared to order. They are happy to prepare your order to go if you call ahead. Worth finding if you haven't been here. I personally recommend the baleadas especial with chorizo, the Mexican hot dog and the tacos.
Back again this afternoon. Had the Pollo tacos Dorado and tostados El pastor. Always great food, great portion and great taste. Service spot on as always. Go, eat, repeat.
