Review Zaxby's - Lafayette

We loved it! Great atmosphere, clean, good music, friendly workers. The chicken strips are delicious, so is the sauce and they have the cool drink fountain. Giving this place its props😎

Food was great even though I ordered a grilled cobb salad and was given a fried Cobb salad. The wait for the wings was about 20 minutes. They gave us two macadamia nut cookies for our wait.

Wings are always flavorful. Sauce is just the right amount. Clean restaurant as well.

As usual, every Zaxby's I've been to delivers on service, choices, price, and more. The chicken was juicy and tasty, and so was the new cod strips. Definitely worth your time to stop by and get some strips with one (or more) of their 10+ sauce varieties. Prices are pretty good for the amount of food you get, too.

I'm happy they're here, but I wish they were in a better location that was easy to get in and out of. I liked them a lot back in Alabama, but they need to serve bigger chicken fingers to win this community over where there's Cane's and popeye's all over. Bigger menu than most other drive thru chicken places though

The best Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad I have ever had from anywhere. Delicious and super fresh. The employees are always friendly and courteous.

Their food is super fresh and delicious. They would have 5 stars but the staff has been rude the couple times we have been there. It was obvious they did not want to be there.

Good chicken! Not as spiced as Popeyes, but more spice than Cane's. Very much like a Raisin' Cane's with the focus on chicken but there are salads and desserts available.

Ok I love this place. I go a few times a month for the traditional barbeque wings. The sauce is sweet and just a little spicy. The browniesnare awesome too.

Awesome chicken, great customer service always fresh and beautiful, tasty salads. Just as good if not better than Canes!

Food was great but the employees didn't seem happy to be there. The cashier just looked at us and never asked for our order, just waited for us to talk. Just seemed a little rude

Better than Caine's to me. The location being next door to a Popeyes and construction hell of verot School road must be killing business.

The Cobb salad was to die for!!! Excellent service hands down. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Love it!!!

So much more than what you would get for the same price at other fast food places. Great sauce selection and menu.

Tastes like frozen chicken fingers. Do yourself a favor...go to Popeye's next door or Raisin' Canes. I don't understand how this place is still open. The food is mediocre at best and service is terrible.

I think the worst think about Zaxbys is the location. It is a hard in and out - especially if you want to go left. I found the tenders very good . The Zaxbys sauce is not really much different than Canes sauce but the hot honey mustard was very good.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ZAXBY'S AT ALL. I have been to Zaxby's a few times at a different location. I was super excited to later find out there was one located in Lafayette. First, off the owner, Scott, was a total asshole. The food was horrible and the service matched.

I have tried them a few times. They have a big selection and I was hoping they would be good. The food is always too salty, including the salad. Hopefully they can make some changes and improve, otherwise I don't think they will be able to compete.

Don't bother. Canes should add fried mushrooms though.. You know how you read the reviews about a place that say how messed up their orders were, how the staff was not helpful or especially customer oriented, how they had to repeat their order several times and it was still wrong, how 10 onion rings is really not a full order, how the cost is surprisingly high for what you get and how they'll never go back to that place?<br/>Believe those reviews.

It's absolute dog food.

Very good!. We frequented Zaxbys when we lived in Florida, it's superior to Canes in its selection. I think it's hilarious how many people think Zaxbys is trying to copy Canes, even though Zaxbys was established 6 YEARS before Canes!! Who's the copycat? <br/>I think the Verot location might be far for some, but it's perfect for the growing South Lafayette area, Broussard, Youngsville, etc. The Salad is my favorite, with a chocolate milkshake, of course! ;)

Not a fan. I am not a fan of Zaxby's. I decided to give it a try about a month and half after they opened. Their chicken dinner was no where close to Canes chicken dinner. The fries were soggy and chicken was overcooked.

Rude manager. I asked the cashier if I could speak to a manager about my over cooked food. She politely said yes mam and apologized for the mishap. She retrieved a manager named Hayli(sp). I told her about my over cooked food and she caught an attitude and rolled her eyes. She didn't even apologize or offer to redo my food or give me a refund. I now know to take my money elsewhere.<br/>-Lena

Not a good representative of Zaxby's. I used to frequent Zaxby's a lot when I lived in Florida. I still do when I drive home. The chicken tenders and wings were always well done (not burned) and the season fries were always delicious. I tried the one here in Lafayette and couldn't finish eating my wings and things. The fries were soggy and unseasoned, unlike any other Zaxby's I've been to. The chicken strips were tiny and the chicken wings were overlooked to the point where they were dried out and crunchy. You guys are giving Zaxby's a bad name.

Just ok as a chicken finger place. Inferior compared to Cane's. I got a coupon for free chicken fingers in the mail, so I decided to give it a shot. In short: fingers were ok, sauce was a bad attempt at Cane's sauce, and the texas toast was bland and tasted weird. I had a bad taste in my mouth after eating it, which I think is mainly the sauce's fault. I won't be going back.

We got the boneless wings with mild sauce thought they were pretty good considering it's fast food and less than $6 for a meal. Fries were pretty salty though. I would try again. Can't compare to canes very different.

Awesome service. Horrible customer service and super salty food.

Like everyone else in Lafayette, I had to give them a try. Save your money! The chicken was greasy and the fries were old and soggy. The toast had a hole in it and the cashier just said "sorry". You mean you're not going to give me another toast without damage? Their cost is probably 10 cents! This tells you right there that they don't waste food....they serve it all no matter if its bad. The customer service is ghetto and like Burger King. Cane's has them beat hands down on every level. If you want great fried chicken fingers....go with what you already know and appreciate....Cane's.

Simply Better. Wider selection, better seasoning, crispier batter...if it's chicken fingers you want Zaxby's is the way to go. If there's a downside it's the location and hours.

No comparison to Cane's. For $7 my food should have come with a drink. The sauce is tangy and nothing but an attempt to duplicate Cane's. I won't be going back. Not worth the money or taste.

Not good. Anybody who likes chicken fingers try Stevens don't let the location scare you it is worth it. You will never think about zaxby's or canes again.

Disappointed :(. I was not impressed. I visited Zaxby's a few years ago at other locations and thought it was better than it's competition in our town (Lafayette) but was disappointed with this most recent experience. In Searcy, Ar. Zaxby's had almost the same chicken strip meal as our local chain, the only difference was the seasoning on the fries which was awesome. This experience was sub par with small chicken fingers, roughly 2" long, and a different style of fries and toast. I was hoping for a little competition in town but I don't see Zaxby's rising to the challenge.

Great!. Food is great. Loved the service and the food is fresh since they have a kill date on the chicken and a few days to use it. The food is just right! Can't wait till they open up more locations!

Don't bother....disappointing overpriced food and mediocre service. Zaxby's opened up not far from our house and right next door to Popeye's on Verot School Rd. (wonder whose brilliant idea that was). First of all the location is HORRIBLE!! Traffic is already godawful at that intersection without having people driving like maniacs trying to turn left or blocking lanes in order to turn into the restaurant. Now, as for the food...there is NOTHING special about this food at all. The chicken is your basic chicken fingers slightly better seasoned than Cane's served with soggy crinkle cut fries. The sides they offer are very small and completely overpriced! The fried pickles we got were one the verge of being burnt and had no flavor whatsoever. The fried cheese curds were equally tasteless (try the ones at Buffalo Wild Wings, they are excellent!). Fried mushrooms were also almost burnt and Zaxby's should be embarrassed to charge that much for the tiny portion you get! The wait to get our food in the drive thru was ridiculous...there were a few cars ahead of us but nothing that justified how long it took for us to get our food. The staff was your typical unmotivated fast food type worker neither cheerful or overly helpful. Save your money, you aren't missing anything special here!

We love Canes but thought it would be fun to try this new place. It was great! We'll still eat at Canes but now we have a new place to go! The food is similar but there are way more options! Fried mushrooms,nibblers, and boneless wings! Canes still has the best tea however!(;

CAN YOU SAY SALT. How do I compare the to a summer's day.... or Cane's. YOU CAN'T. Being not the biggest fan of Cane's, I decided to give this new place a try. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The chicken wasnt crispy and everything tasted as if it had been deep fried... in SALT. PLEASE, do not waist your time. The service was unfriendly and the food was unappealing.
